Hey! IT's so good to hear that Rohan's doing so well! I can't believe it's already been 6 weeks since you've had him... that's CRAZY! haha. I hope you're enjoying him... I completely understand about being super busy and not having time to get on here... Melanie is keeping me pretty busy and since John's gone I'm doin this all by myself... I wouldn't trade it for the world, but it's definitely difficlt. And I have it pretty great! She's been sleeping through the night since she was 5 days old! I usually feed her around 11 then again when she wakes up between 4 and 4:30 and then again around 10 or so... lol. it's really pretty easy! But... she's been getting super fussy during the day lately... Well, hope things continue to go great for you and you do well on your exams! talk to you soon!

Oh, I know...I've been crazy busy too. The boys are doing really well...Deklan is really good with Gavin most of the time. Sometimes he gets a little too rough, or decided to give him a REALLY BIG kiss the moment he finally drifted off to sleep, but other than that he's been great! Gavin is growing so fast it seems. He already weighs 11 and a half pounds, and is filling out nicely...no more of that wrinkly newborn skin. He's letting me get a little sleep...I nurse him at midnight, then again at 4am, then again at 7am...that's the pattern he sets most days. So I actually get a few hours running of decent sleep. How are you and Rohan doing? Well, keep me posted. I know it's hard to get on, and I rarely get on chat anymore, but we'll at least message when we can!

Hey, Erica finally wrote, and Melanie is here! This is what she wrote me: ok so this is crazy that i'm even on here right now but i'll give u the quick and dirty... john is leaving 2morrow so i'll be able to talk after that.. hey! ok so i'm typing 1 handed right now so this will b short... lol i actually went into labor on my own on sat morning (the 26th) @ 7 am and was in labor for 22 hrs total. went to the hosp @ 6pm sat night and was 4 cm dilated. an hour later was 6 cm dilated but i was in some PAIN so i opted 4 the epidural. that stalled labor and about 4 hrs later i finally got to 8 cm dilated. my epi was running out so they came 2 re-dose me but when they did i started vomitting and Melanie's heartrate dropped really low. we waited about 3 hrs for her heartrate to stabilize before they would let me start pushing (b/c @this point i was @ 10 cm) i pushed for 2.5 hours b4 they decided she was too big. she had already passed her meconium so they wanted to get her out fast b4 she swallowed it... so C-section time. @ 5:57am on Sun Jan 27th Melanie was born via c-sec. i have had a really rough recovery and 2day is my 1st day downstairs.. i'll send pix and update more later. no time 2 tell everyone whats up so can u update 4 me till i can get my birth story up? thanks jess!!

Hey! Yeah, he was a big boy...but we're both doing well. I'm tired and sore, but other than that, I feel great! My milk finally came in, which is good, because he was eating every hour or so for these last few days, and it never seemed like enough. I'll be putting updates on my regular page, as time goes by...just don't know when I'll have the time yet!! :)

hey Tia! Thanks for writing back! John can stay until 7 days post partum then go back.. Then he'll come home again the first of april... Anyway, I think that's the cutest idea ever about getting Rohan a penguin suitcase. lol. very fitting for a penguin-infatuated mommy! :-) Keep me updated on how you're both doing and I'll let you know as soon as she gets here!

I posted Gavin's birth story...I'll get pics up later today. We have a long day ahead, though...gotta take Gavin to the pediatrician and run a couple of errands. Gavin and I are both doing well...I'm sore and bruised...LOL. But considering he was 10lb. 1oz. and 22 inches long, I SHOULD be sore. Had a rough labor this time, too. But anyway, I'll try to do some more individual writing later and post pics...in the meantime, check out the birth story!

Hey, guess what?!? My water just broke!!! Woohoo!!! I called my midwife, and I'm waiting to hear back from her. I've only had one contraction since it broke, so things are starting gradually...I'm not in a rush or anything. But anyhoo, I figured I'd let everyone know what's going on, and hopefully I'll be home in the morning with a new baby Gavin!! :) Wish me luck!!

Hey! Nope no news yet... BUT... the best news of my life: John came home!!!! :-) He got home on the 17th around 10pm and he can stay till 7 days after she's born (whenever that is!!!) OMG it was awesome because we didn't think it was gonna happen! I found out at like 3pm that he was coming home and a few hours later I got to go pick him up! So... we're just waiting on our little girl to get here... I'm not rushing her too much tho cuz the longer she waits the longer he can be home ;-) I'm 5 days overdue now so we'll see... My dr will induce on the 28th if she's not here before then... I'll be 12 days over at that point. Anyway, how's the little boy doing? I hope you guys are such a little happy family. Just dont share any penguins with him ok? lol. Have a good day tia!

There's no date set for being induced, but after 2 weeks we'll talk about it. I know it's craziness being a mom!! And they DO grow so fast. I still can't believe that Deklan is going on 4 years old! :)

Hahaha...I've BEEN ready! I'm 6 days overdue! I've lost my plug, I'm 80-90% effaced and dilated to 5cm as of last Thursday, but no labor in sight!!! Other than that, though, we're doing well. Both healthy, no problems. Just waiting!!! How's motherhood treating you?

Hi Tai, I think i'm getting over it now, just takes time, you know how it is, I've had plenty of salt baths and tea tree oil! I know its funny they came on the same day, I remember you saying you were being induced on the 28th and I was all jealous cause I wanted my baby to come as well. How are you adjusting to motherhood? xx

awwwwww TIA!!!!!!!!!!!! how exciting!! I'm so happy for you! I bet he's just gorgeous!! Congratulations! Make sure you keep in touch! I can't wait to hear all about him! No baby for me yet but I only have 8 days till my due date. I'm already 1.5 cm dilated and 70% effaced so hopefully it'll be soon! :-) Have fun with your new little boy! :-)

that was the same reason why i had to go back, they said they wanted to see at least 3 accelerations in his heart rate and have them last for a certain amount of time and he was just being a lazy man hahaha but when i went back he decided to have a dance party or something hahaha but it was wicked squiggily

yeah I didn't know they would either - but we noticed that the dates for my last period ad been recoreded incorrectly in our record book an dasked them about it and they moved the date! YAY! Good luck with the induciton! I am fairly sure this baby will still be late tho! lol

ohh geez! well at least they will have everything monitored. a bummer about the birthplan but the was im figuring things is that at least things are monitored, ide MUCH rather them monitor things and be completely aware of what is going on than have it be a surprise when i went to deliver the baby. I just came back from the drs and the amniotic fluid levels have gone up which is good =) but when i had my non stress test his heart rate didn't accelerate enough so they sent me home for lunch and to come back after i ate. hopefully that will make the little guy get his heart pumping the way they want to see it =) =) =)

why do you have to be induced if you don't mind me asking? right now i have high blood pressure, im boarder line preeclempsia and they think i might have low ambiotic fluids. im actually heading to the drs in a few minutes for another ultrasound, non stress test, and bp check. when did they decide that they were going to induce you?

Hey!! It has been FOREVER since we've talked! I'm doing okay. Off bedrest (yay!). I'm getting SUPER uncomfortable and am definitely ready to be done! lol. That's so exciting that they'll probably induce you at 38 wks!! It sucks why (the GD) but at least you only have to go through a few weeks of the annoyance rather than 9 months of it right?? Well, hope you're feeling better. That's soooo funny that your travel system is a PENGUIN! lol. I'm getting a Penguin humidifier for the baby's room. lol. I think of you everytime I look at it! :-) Keep me posted on how things are going. I will too! Any day now we're gonna be MOMMIES!!! :-) lol. Take care Tia and we'll talk soon!

Not so bad Tia, had a bit of a scare with some bleeding on monday but I got checked out at the hospital and it turned out to be an erosion on my cervix which I think is just one of those things, I finish work tomorrow which is great. I just put on some new pictures of my scans and nursery if you would like a look. Try not to worry about your birth plan I think there will be alot of times births dont go to plan, as long as you're ok and baby arrives healthy at the end of it thats the main thing. Talk soon xx
