It's amazing how much your body can stretch

My name is Tiffany, and I am going to be a teenage mom. My husband and I have been married for over a year now and are loving the fact that we are bringing a child into this world. A beautiful child to call our own, to hold and to love, to raise and watch grow. We become more and more excited as the days pass. Our bundle of joy should be here around the 24th of February. We can't wait to meet our baby.

What a blessing it is to be pregnant. I was told almost a year ago that it would be hard if not almost impossible for me to get pregnant. And here I am, going into my second trimester and as healthy as can be.

Update: 9/5/07

So I had another doctors appointment today. The third one since I found out I was pregnant. My doctor said that everything looked pretty good. All my blood work came back normal and the baby's heartbeat was 160. It is such an amazing sound. I will be more amazed tomorrow after I go back. I'm scheduled for an ultrasound. I wasn't going to get one till my next appointment which is in 4 weeks, but I had told her that there was a possibility of me having a split uterus. Around a year ago, I had gone to the hospital because of a bladder infection. They gave my a vaginal ultrasound in which the lady informed me that i might have one. She told me that I need to go to an OB to find out for sure. Well that is what they are doing tomorrow. I'm a little nervous because this is going to be my first one. I just hope that everything is ok and the baby is growing normally. Please wish me luck and keep me n your prayers. I will update more tomorrow.

Update 9/12/07

Sorry, it has taken me a few days to update. I have been really busy lately. But I have good news, everything looks fine. AND I was able to find out that we are having a boy!!! The best birthday gift ever!! (it was on the 10th) We are so excited. Thats what both of us were hoping for. Not only has God blessed us with a little boy, but he is healthy and growing wonderfully. The ultrasound tech told me that from what she could see, I don't have a split uterus. If I do, it is only a small split and nothing to worry about. Her suggestion to me was to get another ultrasound done after the baby is born to see if I have one. So anyway, the ultrasound was amazing. It made Jeremy and I both speechless. I cried so hard after seeing him and finding out that everything is ok. I just can't get over how awesome it was to see him moving all around and stretching and sucking his thumb. I am so in love with my little man. I can't wait for him to get here!!

My husband and I

I think we will have a cute baby!!

Update: 10/4/07

Hey everybody, just a little update on what is going on. I had my doctors appointment yesterday. Everything is still looking great. I declined the triple screen test though. I told my doctor that the test didn't matter to me because no matter the results, we are keeping our baby. It isn't something that I am worried about. Other then that, not to much happened. I got to here his heartbeat again, my favorite part of the appointment. A strong 158 bpm this time. I also got scheduled for my next ultrasound. I go back in next week on the 10th. I am so excited to see him again and see how much bigger he has gotten. I finally started feeling him move. September 27th was the first day that I noticed it. They're nothing to big, but noticeable. I love it. I can't wait till Jeremy can feel him as well. He already loves this little boy more then life its self. He has been so wonderful and considerate throughout everything. Even makes those midnight store runs to get me my latest cravings. I have such a good man. Well that is about it for now. I will update again next week and let everyone know how my ultrasound went. I hope everybody is doing good and enjoying their pregnancies!

Update: 10/12/07

I love my life!! I have the best husband a girl could ask for, a pretty cool dog, and the very most important, I'm having a son. I'm not a super religious person, but I feel God has blessed me in more ways then I could ever imagine. Today I am 20 weeks and 5 days pregnant and I couldn't be happier. I have so far had a pretty easy pregnancy. The most I can complain about was the horrible morning sickness that would last from day to night. I'm not as moody as I thought I'd be or that emotional. I can get upset more easily, but I haven't just started crying for no reason yet. lol But I still have 19 weeks to go. So I had my 20 week ultrasound this past Wednesday, the 10th. It was as amazing this time as it was the first. He wasn't as active because he was sleeping, but he started moving around more towards the end. I'm happy to say that he appears to be 100 percent healthy. The ultrasound tech said that everything looks perfect and there's nothing noticeably wrong with him. I can't believe how much he has grown. It only makes me more excited for him to get here. I have my next appointment on Halloween. I can't wait till next year when I have a little one to take trick-or-treating. =)

Update: 10/31/07

Happy Halloween everybody. I hope that you guys had a great night. I went out with a friend of mine and walked with her and her daughter. Next year is going to be so much fun. I can't wait to take my little man trick-or-treating. So anyway, not to much has been going on. I finally have the date set for my baby shower. My friend is throwing it for me on the 1st of December. It is going to be great, I can't wait. Jason is getting more and more active as the days pass. His little kicks are becoming so much stronger. I love feeling him move. When I sit and think about it, I find it amazing that I have a little person inside of me. It just blows my mind. This past Saturday (10/28) both Jeremy and my Dad felt him move for the first time. Jeremy was so excited. It just makes us more anxious for him to get here. It is going by so much faster then I thought it would, but is seems like I still have forever till it's time for me to have him. We still have alot to do though. His room is already painted, but we don't have much in there yet. It's just a matter of time. It kind of stresses me out though. I'm scared that he will come early and we won't have everything ready. I just try and not think about it to much. Money is tight for us at the moment, but I know his family is going to help us out. They are all so excited about having a new baby in the family.

Update: 11/20/07

Wow, what a busy schedule I have had these past few days. And it's only getting busier. I went to a friends baby shower this past Saturday. It was my first time ever going to one and it was a lot of fun. We played a few games and ate some really good food. It makes me even more excited for my baby shower. Which is in less then two weeks!! I have also been baby shopping like crazy. Got to hit up all those sales. haha We finally got a crib for our little man. I was so excited. Jeremy loved putting it together. I almost cried watching him build it for our son. Now I go in there and look at it like 20 times a day. I just can't wait for Jason to come so I can put him in it. I know I also have a bassinet coming. I am going to get it at my shower. I overheard my friend talking about it. Whoops. =) Thats makes me happy as well because now I can have him in the room with me when he's first born. Other then that, we are just getting ready for the holidays. We are having Thanksgiving with his family this year. I can't wait. I have been looking forward to this holiday for over a month. haha This pregnant girl loves to eat. Especially now a days. I don't feel like I ever get full. So after our dinner, we are making our way even further away from home. My sister Kelly is flying in from Texas, so we are going to go see her and stay a couple nights. Then we have to come back home to meet my other sister Natosha. She is coming to stay the weekend and taking me back home with her. She lives a few hours away so I don't get to see her and my nephews as much as I'd like to. (I'm much closer with her then my other sister.) Then she is bringing me back that Friday so I can get ready for my baby shower on the following day. See, said I was busy. haha But I am looking forward to seeing everybody. Plus staying busy is making things go by fast. Well I hope everybody has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. I'll update again after my baby shower and tell everybody how it went.

Update: 12/10/07

Well I had my baby shower a little over a week ago, Saturday, the first of December. It was a blast. I had so much fun. It wasn't anything big, but I don't like things overdone. Just a few friends, some food, and some games. Jason made out pretty well. That little boy is going to be so spoiled. Especially by his Grandma! Every time she goes to a store she buys something for him. Our place isn't big enough to store all this stuff. lol I can't believe that in 11 more weeks I am going to be able to use it all. This pregnancy is just continuing to fly by. I remember when I was only 11 weeks along, now thats all I have left. I hope that these last few weeks go by as quick. I am so ready for him to be here. I love being pregnant and by the grace of God I have had a very easy pregnancy, but I am ready to be a Mommy now! Everybody has been calling (well Jeremy's family and our friends) to see how things are going and making sure we have everything we need. So many people are excited about our little Jason making the big entrance into this world. It's awesome to see people that happy for us. It really means a lot seeing Jeremy's family so excited. I am so grateful and lucky to be apart of his family. They are all so loving and kind. When you are around his family, they give you this warm, welcoming feeling that makes you never want to leave. I have never had that with my family. We weren't the closest and holiday gatherings just seemed to make everybody cranky and on edge. The one time of the year that we spent together, everybody was miserable and would have rather been somewhere else. I remember finding it amazing when I watched his family laugh and hug and actually show love for one another. With the way I grew up I thought that only TV families were close like that. haha Now I get to be apart of that. You have no idea how wonderful it is to feel loved and wanted. I spent my early childhood being bounced around from different family members and friends because neither one of my parents found themselves capable of taking care of me. Partying and getting high meant much more to them. Knowing the way that I was brought up and watching my own parents pass me off to someone else makes me even more determined to be the best mom ever. I am starting a family young because I never had that and I want my own family more then anything. I never would of thought that I would be married by 16 and having a child at 18, but I couldn't be happier and feel more blessed. I wish all of you this much happiness.
A few baby shower pictures!!

Update: 12/20/07

There's less then a week left till Christmas!! I am so excited. I love this time of the year, even though it doesn't feel like Christmas with it being in the 70's and 80's outside. That's Florida for you. This Saturday Jeremy and I are going a few hours south of us to surprise some of his family. They don't think that we are going to be able to make it because Jeremy has to work, but he is going to be getting off early. I can't wait. We won't be able to stay long due to the fact that my dear husband has work the on Sunday as well. So we will drive 4 hours there and and then another 4 hours back home. It's worth it though. We haven't seen most of them since September, so it will be extremely nice. On Christmas Eve, we will be going over to Jeremy's Mom's house for dinner then to his Dad's house the following day for Christmas dinner. I can't wait to have Jason here next year to share all this with! Other then that, not to much else to update about. Jeremy's birthday was yesterday. He turned 27. My old man. lol I love him so much. He had a good day. We spent most of the day together (he was able to sneak his way out of work. Benefits of working for the same company for almost 7 years) then his Mom took us out for dinner. I ate so much that I thought Jeremy was going to have to roll me out of there. haha Well, I hope that everybody has a wonderful and safe holiday.

Update: 1/26/08

Well ladies, I am in the final countdown now. Today I hit week 36 which leaves me another 4 anxious weeks. I am hoping, like most of you ladies out there are, to go a week or two early. So far I am showing no hope of that. Jason is starting to drop, not much, but I feel the added pressure he applies now. I have my next appointment on February 6th. I am hoping that when he checks me I am showing some signs that labor will be here soon. I am swelling a lot more and I find it harder and harder to sleep at night. It will be so nice once he is here and I will have my body back to myself instead of being a baking oven. I have loved being pregnant and have been very lucky to be blessed with an easy pregnancy. Other then my all day sickness in my first trimester, these past 9 months have been wonderful. I have such a deep love for this baby boy that I haven't even seen yet it is phenomenal. I am so excited and nervous at the same time because I know that he is going to be here soon. I know that everything is going to change and I am forever going to be responsible for the life of another human being. It can be an overwhelming feeling at times and I find myself questioning if I am going to know what to do. I am sure all first time Mom's have these fears. I know though that with my husband by my side we will be able to be great parents. Jeremy is such an amazing man, I know he is going to make a great father to our child. He is getting so exited, he talks about Jason all the time. It is so cute. We are both ready for him to be here. I packed both our bags the other day. Everything is all ready for him. His clothes and blankets and towels along with all his other stuff has been washed and put away. Now it is just a waiting game. I will update again after my next appointment and let everybody know if there is any progress. In the mean time, I want to share a very sweet thing my husband did....

This past Thursday Jeremy and I went shopping so I could get a nursing bra and some other last minuet things. We were leaving the mall, walking through JC Penny when I saw some pants I wanted to look at. Jeremy told me to go look at them that he would find something to go look at. After about 10/15 minuets, I went to go look for him so we could go home and I found him over in the jewelery section. He was standing at the counter with his wallet out and when I walked over to him he told me to go away that I shouldn't be done looking at clothes yet. I laughed and walked away. I few seconds later he walked up to me and told me that I ruin everything. (playfully) He said that he planned on giving it to me in the hospital after I had Jason, but he knew that he couldn't do that now because I would be up his ass to find out what it is. haha So when we got home he gave me a box that said mother and child on the front. I opened it and it's this beautiful gold and white gold necklace with a mother and child in the shape of a heart. I thought it was the sweetest thing he could of done. It made me cry like a baby. I don't want to ware it though till Jason is here and I am really a mom. I just wanted to share that because I thought it was so sweet and loving. I have such a great man!!!

The necklace he got for me <3

Update: 2/18/08

It' s been a while since I have updated. So I figured I would write and let everybody know what is going on. (Amy, you already know it all) Today I am 39 weeks and 1 day along. At my last doctors appointment, which was Wednesday the 13th, I was 1 centimeter dilated, 50 percent effaced, and he was at the -2 station. His heartbeat was in the 150's and the doctor was estimating him to be 7 pounds 5 ounces. Said that if I was to go past my due date he would probably be a little over 8 pounds. That kind of scares me because that is a pretty big baby for someone my size to give birth to. I'm not going to let it really get to me though because he can't be for sure how big Jason is going to be. Anyway, I have great news......if I don't go into labor on my own, I will be going into the hospital this Friday, the 22nd at 6 in the morning to be induced. THAT IS IN 4 MORE DAYS!!!! Well really it is 3 days, 9 hours and 45 minuets. It is also 2 days before my due date. it. It isn't much further ahead, but better then going past it. I can't put into words the emotions I have been experiencing. I am so excited, yet at the same time scared to death. I know this is going to be the most painful event I will have ever and probably ever will go through. The only thing I can tell myself that will help calm my nerves is the fact that the pain will only be temporary and what follows will bring me never ending happiness. I have another appointment this upcoming Wednesday, the 20th. If anything is new, I will update then. If not, I will update once I am back from the hospital. Wish me luck!! I hope everybody is doing good and you are enjoying your pregnancies.

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON!!!!

Update: 2/19/08

So earlier today I got a phone from my doctor. He started out by telling me that there was some problem on there part and they needed to reschedule my induction date. I was instantly upset and was thinking that he was going to make for next week. Well, thankfully I was wrong. He wants me in there TOMORROW at 8 in the morning. I can't believe it. I don't think the fact that I have having him tomorrow has fully sank in yet. So far I have cleaned my house from top to bottom, even gave the dog a bath, checked both our bags for the hospital 3 times, called everybody I know, and had sex with my husband for the last time in a while. (haha sorry, tmi) I can't believe it. In the next 24 hours (well hopefully not that long since I have less then 12 hours till I go to the hospital) I will be holding my son. It seems so unreal. Alright, well I am going to go get some rest to prepare for the big event. Will update once I am back and get settled.
