ONE DAY YOU'LL BE A MAN

Darling baby, our pride and joy

I hold you close, my little boy

One day you will be a man,

so let me cuddle you while I can.

Your little hand grips mine tight,

while you fight sleep with all your might.

But I don't mind these wakeful hours,

this time together that's all ours.

When you're a man I'll hold your child,

and remember this with a gentle smile.

Because time goes by so terribly fast,

let's take this time and make it last.

Hi! Thank for responding to the torticolis topic. I those his doctor and they think it's mild and that they want me to switch side sleeping and holding him. The doctor couldn't really tell that his neck was tilted. I see it's not perfectly straight center. Istay hom w/ him all day so I know when I see a titled head. He became tilted because everybody in my family hold him in same side arm when he was a newborn. He also prefer sleeping on same side. We put him on the opposite side but he would turn and sleep his favorite side. It's so frustating doing those neck stratching exercises. I did research to see how to do those exercises. I've been doing it since he was 4 months. I do them when I get the chace. Remember, they don't like their neck getting stretching. He cries and get cranky. I don't know about physical therapy. Are they expensive? I don't think I can afford a pricey sessions. Plus I son't know where to start looking for one. Anyhow, one other mom told me to try the chiropractice. I think I like to try that if insurance cover it. Let me discuss w/ my husband about both physical therapy and chiropractice. Thank you so much for sharing.

Hey there, how are you? We have not talked in a while and I thought I would write and see how things are going with Owen. I hope everything is going well! Things here are going well. I started back to work, but only part time. It is still really hard, though. I stopped breastfeeding in the beginning of June. It was really hard for me but he was not latching on anymore and my milk supply decreased drastically. I am ok with it now. Owen is getting so big and he is so fun!! I can't believe he is 7 1/2 months old already. He only sleeps through the night every now and then. Sometimes he gets up in the middle of the night and starts to cry and then I can't get him calmed down and so I end up bringing him into the bed with us. Thank goodness he has not been sick in a while though. He did have to go on the nebulizer AGAIN (not sure if i already told you that), but so far it has been a couple of months since he has been sick. I probably just jinxed myself....lol! Oh and he was d/c'd from the apnea monitor in the middle of May, and I am so happy to be rid of that thing!! I do have some big news....I am pregnant....AGAIN! I can't believe it. It was not planned but we are very happy. I am just nervous about handling both of them at such an early age. My due date is March 7th so they will be about 15 months apart. Well, I guess that is about it on my end. Write back when you get a chance and let me know how everything is going. Talk to you soon. Danielle

Hiya. First congrats on making it to your goal of 8 months! Breastfeeding moms really deserve a lot of credit, it's one of the hardest things in the world to do. I really wish I didn't have to stop, I miss it so much. I was so lucky that my little girl was a prostar at breastfeeding and I didn't have any troubles at all. I think you're doing the weaning perfectly. The longer the better, and a month should definately be long enough to avoid all the weaning troubles. If you've already given up the day pumping and you're only doing it at night I really don't think you'll have any troubles with leaking or engorgement. That's exactly how I did it, and I didn't have anything. My supply just responded to the less feeding and I made less and less until I completely stopped. Even then, because I did it slowly, like you, I had nothing. No leaks or engorging at all when we fully stopped. I'm not sure how long it takes to completely dry up... It's almost been a full month since I stopped and if I really try I can get tiny bits out. But definately not the super soaker that I used to be! I hear ya on the weight gain, it sucks!! Somehow I managed to be 20 pounds less my pre-pregnancy weight a couple months after having her, now I've gained 10 pounds of it back. And I'm sure that's just the beginning!! Good luck with the weaning, any more questions, just ask!

Hi there-

Yes, I have found it difficult going back full-time. I have changed my hours to 7:30-4:30, so I have to be up at 5:30 am. I'm constantly exhausted. The only saving grace for me is that I work in-house, so I don't have ot bill my time. I tried ot pump at work, adn that only lasted a month. It was just too hard, because I do not have a private office.

Hi there. How have you been? How is little Owen doing? I hope all is well. My little guy is getting so big. I can't believe it. The time is just flying by!! Owen was to the ENT last week and everything looks good so hopefully he will be off of the apnea monitor next week when we go to his appt. Also he had a head cold that turned into bronchitis and he was on a nebulizer and we just finished that up on Friday so things have gotten a little easier. It was crazy there for a while with feeding him solids in the am, then a nebulizer treatment and then I had to pump, etc. He is now eating a variety of solids and seems to be taking to them well. Oh and he is pretty much sleeping through the night in his crib. Once in a while he will get up and I will just go into his room and put my hand on his belly and he goes back to sleep. I have been getting much more sleep and that is helping so much!! He does not eat off the breast anymore but I am still pumping. That is hard but I still want him to get the breastmilk so I guess I will continue to pump for now. The weather here has been pretty nice so we have been going for alot of walks and staying outside alot. Well, I hope everything is going well on your end. Write back when you get a chance. I hope to talk to you soon. Danielle
