My profile
I am super excited to be a mommy! My husband and I have been together for six years. We just got married in August of 2007. I got pregnant while on our honeymoon. It's not that we were really trying, but I had just gotten off of birth control and got pregnant immediately. That pregnancy ended in miscarrage in October. After that, we decided we were ready for a baby. The first week of March, Andy's mom was diagnosed with grade four gioblastoma multiforme (aka brain cancer). The prognosis for this type of cancer is grim... with only 50 out of 100 people living one year after diagnosis. We were obviously upset at the thought that our kids won't know their grandmother. Well, I conceived sometime in March. I got my posative pregnancy test on April first. My mother in law is so happy. (we haven't told any of the extended family the news yet and she is very anxious to be able to talk about it). We may actually have kept the news from her for longer except that we needed to know if it was safe for me to be around her after her radiation treatments. It was. The pregnancy is going pretty well. I was scared to death at first that I was going to lose this one as well. But I am past the point that I lost the last one. I also have been super sick with all day and night sickness... which they say is a good sign of a healthy pregnancy. I sure hope so. I wasn't sick at all with the one I lost.
