Dean and his baby sister Ella

IT IS A GIRL!!!

Born: December 20, 2007

Weight: 7.14 pds

Height: 20.5 inches

January 10, 2008 - Well my baby girl is 3 weeks old now and can't imagine life without her. She is so precious. Although I could use some more sleep, but I know it will happen with time. My lil girl is only eating 2oz every 2 hours....wish she would double that and double the time..lol Every time I finish a feeding it is almost time to start again. She went to the doctors on Monday and she weighs 8.5 pds. The umblical cord fell off last night...yeah! I was always paranoid that the darn thing was catching on her clothing...even though I was told that there is no feeling. I am trying to get into a routine between her feedings. I feel overwhelmed with all the things that have to be done in the house and taking caring of a newborn. Alhtough I know my lil Ella comes first....once she is asleep I run myself ragged trying to get evrything done. Anybody else out there feeling the same way??

Feb 29, 2008 - Wow I can't believe Ella is already 2 months old!! Things are getting easier. Ella has made the big move to her crib last week and I must say that is was harder for me than her. She did not care. Now I have been putting her in the crib sleepy and off to sleep she goes...my dream baby. I think I learned from my 11 year old son that rocking them to sleep is great but then they expect it every night..not a good thing. She is not sleeping all night but sleeps about 6hrs and eats then lays back down for about another 4 hours. Not bad...can't really complain. She loves her exosaucer and watches her Einstein video in it. She is holding her head up really well. I must say having a little girl is so different than having a boy. I love my son and could not even imagine having a girl but it is wonderful.

March 20, 2008 - Ella is offically 3 months old now and she doing so well. She absolutely loves her jumperoo and the last week she figured out how to jump in it and is a little mad woman in it. Waiting for a giggle though..she still has not done that, but her smile makes you melt. This is her first Easter and can't wait to celebrate it with her. She has been sleeping through the entire night for about a week now which I love, love, love!! We have had her on a routine since the night we brough her home. Last bottle upstairs in our room with the lights out around 8pm.....put her in her crib when she finishes her bottle around 9pm and she is out for the night..till about 8am. She is such a good baby...almost makes me want to have more.....almost.

April 27th - Wow..how time flies! Ella recently turned 4 months old and I must say having Ella has been the most fantastic decision I think I have ever made. Don't get me worng..I love my son and we are so very close, but I had him when I was 25 and even though he was planned right down to the month..I found myself more stressed and uptight...worrying about everything and making sure everything was perfect right down to a clean house. I promised myself I would not do that again and for the most part I havent which in return has given me a very well natured baby. She barely ever cries and she sleeps about 11 hours at night and sometimes more. I have learned to put things aside and spend time with her and let me tell you it is well worth it. For all u younger moms out there...take it from me....spend time with your babies..they are only young for such a small period of our lifetime.

I have slowly started feeding Ella solids. The doctor gave me the ok at her 4 month check up. I am in no hurry..we are just playing around with the idea....she may get a tablespoon per setting. I decided to try and make her baby food..which should be interesting....I have to say I am not the best cook anyways...lol

I thought this was the coolest picture.....my husband is in the middle, our son is to the right...stroller..then me holding Ella to the left....

Dean and Ella on Deans four wheeler..he thought she needed to sit on it.....too cute

June 9 2008 - Ella is 5 1/2 months now and I have never seen a more happier baby! She is adorable. Ella sleeps 11-12 hours a night and naps several times during the day and just a joy when she is awake. She has mastered sitting and enjoys the independence siting up by herself gave her. I dont think she will ever roll. She just has no desire. She is enjoying tummy time more though so there is hope. I just look at her everyday and it is hard to believe that she came from my husband and I..truly a miracle.

July 7th - Well not long after the last entry..Ella started rolling...crazy girl refuses to stay on stomach now that she knows she can roll. I love to see her face everytime she rolls. Well her 6th month check up she was 20 pds and 27 inches long. My lil chunk. Ella still has no teeth and not seeing that she will get any...anytime soon..but that is ok..no rush.

Ella- 6 months old - July 4th weekend

You can use anything hun. You can buy a 18 packs of wash clothes at walmart for $4... Anything will work as long as it absorbs.

PRETTIEST MOM
Once you have been hit, you have to hit 5 pretty Moms.
If you get hit again, You will know you are REALLY pretty!
So hit 15 pretty moms on your friends list to let them know they are
pretty!
Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Send this to someone who you think is a special Mom.''

yeah, these bags are awesome:-) I have wrapping her
until now. I noticed that she had been turning her head right and left when she is asleep in a wrapping sheet. I think she felt restricted. She was trying to tell me to get her out of there hahaa. She turned 4month last sunday so I thought now it's a good idea to introduce a sleeping bag. No more turing left and right.
