I'm from VA (richmond) but originally from Long Island, NY. What part of CT are you from? About our nursery, we have a base color (rug and walls) of a really faint pastel green ("turtle dove") with pink accents/decor in the room. Our crib stuff has girly things on it like princess/ballet etc. We received all of our stuff from baby's r' us- they have the cutest things!

Thank you and I wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy. I am excited to be blessed with a baby girl. I am very happy and ready to shower her with pink. (its a problem). I'm not even into pink like that but since I'm having a princess....its like she's bringing out the inner girlie girl in me. Take care and be safe. =)

HA! Yeah right! I have the same deal as you- I have to use personal time then when that runs out it's unpaid leave. It's such a shame that the benefits aren't better for new mothers!

You are so right!! No time will ever be the right time! Thank you! And I totally agree with you... I just felt my little girl kick earlier and it really does make you feel like you are on cloud 9 and everything else doesn't matter. Also, we are both lucky to have extremely involved husbands and daddy's to be!! Thanks for your comment! :-)

PS. I noticed you are an RN as well! Im in Pediatric ICU. How about you??

I haven't went maternity shopping yet but I am planning on ordering some things tomorrow (Sunday). I have such a busy schedule throughout the week that when the weekends come, I want to relax as much as possible.
Yes I have felt the baby move. The first time I really noticed it was the baby (and not gas) was two weeks ago. It felt as if they were poking out at my skin. Then last week the baby poked out another body part on my lower left rib and stood there for a few minutes. That didn't feel too pleasant, but I am glad that I have a healthy baby.

Hello! I am getting to the maternity clothes stage myself. Its funny because I have stretchy jeans and they are still getting too tight for me. Old Navy has cute maternity clothes for a good price. Good luck and feel free to contact me whenever. I love sharing positive stories. =)

Thanks for responding to my post. I'm sorry, I haven't felt any period type cramps, but I'm sure there are women out there who have. It sounds like your uterus is stretching.
