I am in my 6th week of pregnancy and this is my second child. I am concerned with this one since I had a miscarriage before my son was born. I am reading all over the internet looking for anyone else that this has happened to. I am due December 26, but will probably be one or two weeks earlier since I will be having a c-section. I go for an ultrasound on May 22, which I will be 9 weeks. I am just hoping I see a heartbeat. My belly has gotten a little bigger already. I would love to compare anyone around the same time as me.

Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

finallymyturn - Saturday, 17 May I'm in the same boat with the girl/boy thing. I come from a small family with only two kids on my side but his side has 12 grandkids and even 2 great grandbabies- and the last six children born have been boys! I just feel that if I had a girl she would probably get a lot more attention, especially on his side. That, plus the fact that I've always seen myself with a little girl. Oh well, at this point I'm just happy to be pregnant. Plus my husband's the only boy of five, so I guess we better carry on that family name. And the sound of mama's boy is nice, too. :) I definitely am having some little twinges- earlier on they seemed like cramping but now it's just odd little stitches. I've heard that's just the uterus growing and doing its thing. I'm sure it's fine. I was thinking about a doppler- except by the time I'd get one I'd be out of the really dangerous zone. So I'm holding out- let me know how you like yours. :)
finallymyturn - Tuesday, 13 May Congratulations, right back at you! I saw the heartbeat already because I was so nervous. It was amazing- I'm sitting here getting all upset thinking that they wouldn't be able to find anything when the sonographer says, 'there it is!' It was this tiny little fluttering coming from this itty-bitty bean. Then she switched the sound on and I heard it! I see you've been down this road before, but I'm sure everytime is just as amazing! Good luck. Are you hoping for a amother boy or a girl?
