Mother of 8, expecting again...still breastfeeding baby James who will be 1 at the end of August.
June 3: Matt's birthday...I'm eating a jar of Door County Pickles like a crazy woman. "You've got
something to tell me?" "Huh? No"
June 13: I think I'm pregnant - pregnancy confirms...Matt you're in big trouble!
June 20: No heartbeat, egg sac collapsed and it's not a viable fetus. Expect a miscarriage soon.
July 9: Still pregnant, horrible vomiting - no miscarriage? What's going on?
Ultrasound confirms a HEALTHY baby with a strong heartbeat! IT'S A MIRACLE!
August 15 - Had my CVS test done, a few hours later ended up in the ER because I had a gush of blood. Was completely hysterical by the time we got there (and my husband has driven race cars!). They said it was still in the normal range. Baby was smiling and waving at us during the ultrasound. The OB offered to meet me in the ER, I didn't want any ER doctor, I'm thankful for her! She said how beautiful our son was, and said that we would be having another beautiful baby. Can't wait to find out if it's a girl or boy - and we are nervously awaiting our CVS results.
August 17 - 1st CVS preliminary results in...healthy normal baby girl!! Hoping the full dna results that come back in 10 days say the same thing!
August 31 - Final CVS results are in! For sure 2 DNA samples! IT'S A HEALTHY FEMALE!! Her name will be Clara Emilie - my great-grandmother's middle name was Emilie, and Clara was one of her sisters that died before she was born. We found the names in a family book of mine and I fell in love with them right away.
September 27 - cannot believe how fast this pregnancy is going! 19 weeks, awaiting our 20 week ultrasound next week. Clara is growing, my belly moves when she does! James is almost walking - just a few steps but it's a start!
October 3 - 20 week ultrasound. Clara is PERFECT! 12 ounces, measures exactly at 20 weeks. The MFM found a blood clot in the placenta, about 2-3 inches in diameter, could trigger preterm labor. Going back for another ultrasound on Halloween.
October 31 - Happy Halloween! Clara is perfect! She's gained a whole pound! 1 lb, 12 oz. Showing "a bit on the big side" - per MFM. No change in blood clot, which is a good thing. Another ultrasound in a month.
November: Having ALOT of braxton hicks contractions. Come on body, no need to practice - we were just there last year!
November 28: Still lots and lots of braxton hicks - ouchies! Ultrasound went well, blood clot has contained itself and not affecting Clara's growth - she's a whopping 3 pounds! Hard to take a picture of her, she likes her face pressed into the placenta. She's gonna look like mommy we think...
January 11th: 34 week ultrasound. And guess what?! They think Clara weighs 7#15oz! And I'm only 34 weeks! Uh oh - BIG baby = BIG trouble! Trying to convince the OB to let me go a bit early...
January 25th: 36 week checkup . 1-2cm dilated!! Maybe Clara will be born soon!
