Hi, my name is Tracy and I am 38. I live with my husband Steed, and two beautiful children, Nathan 13 and Keely 9, in the leafy outer suburbs of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. I work 3 days a week in the Accounting Services for a large retail company. We are so excited about the pregnancy and cant wait to meet our new baby. I do feel like a first time mum due to the big age gap from our last child, and look forward to sharing our journeys and growing 'fat' together. God bless each of you and your precious babies.

How`s my pregnancy doing?

wow i cant beleive we are going to the same hospital!! that would be hilarious! i know of the area, oh thats fantastic news! i am waiting on donations from family and friends, then going to go shopping after that. i didnt think i was going to have anymore kids and gave everything away. ooh a boy, how lovely. i have 2 boys and i feel pretty confident this one is a boy as well, though i didnt ask either. must be hard not to say anything!

yeah being married before, was the biggest waste of cash ever. i work at the seymour hospital for about 8 more weeks then im off. I have a house in broadford and have lived here for the past 8 years, but we are moving to moonee ponds in 8 weeks. ill be having baby in with us as well, steves place has a spare room but it will be an office so baby hangs with us for a while... what area are u living in? have you been saving for a place of your own?
just doing general nursing/emergency and theatre work. bit of an all rounder really! love the variety though. i'm having the baby at the Mercy as well, but the heidleberg campus. i visit the girls there maybe once every 8 weeks at this stage. are you finding out what your having? how are you going with baby items? do u have any old stuff from the other two?

I know how that feels... when I was 12 I got a baby sister! She came into my bedroom at about 4 months (I insisted / thought she was a doll), then we had a second storey built about a year later. I loved it, but she woke up 6 times per night (until she was at school - can you believe it???), so from that point on I never slept through the night again myself. Are you looking for a new house / or have you got one and waiting for settlement?

I am doing well, thanks for asking. Ughhh I wish I was going away somewhere. I have been so busy trying to finish up school and everything I havent had time to do much. I have been trying to keep up with yall, just havent had time to write much. Braxton is doing well, thank you. How are you and the little one doing?

JackaMumma - Wednesday, 30 April
Yeh I get what you mean. I'm not so clucky over the newborn clothes as the nursery decorations right now. Really all you need for a newborn are those cute little bonds one pieces (I have bags of stuff from my first son, so when I get myself together to sort all that out - shouldn't need anymore). Back onto Bonds, did you see that ad they had on TV a few months ago with the cute little boy in the bonds one piece with 'no buttons', asleep with his butt in the air - now that was cute :D

school fees wait for noone! sounds good because you can work right up till the baby is born, thats great. ill finish up soon (8 weeks) and i have 10 weeks annual leave put in with maternity leave so its going to be good being paid to be away! im hoping to stay home with bubs as long as possible, till at least one year old. though steve is a bookmaker and if he starts going bad, i may be back earlier!! and how are you finding the gap between your last one and this one? my youngest is 9 as well and i feel a bit rusty at it all!

haha pregnant brain made worse from lack of sleep!! i usually work day shift but have the occasional arvo or night. still doing full time though and cannot wait to stop. what do you do for work?

JackaMumma - Wednesday, 30 April
Hey Tracmac - Kids Central is like a mini baby bunting, it has a mixture of baby toys, clothes, shoes, dress ups, prams (which I didn't know til yesterday), cute nursery gear and even a little baby hairdresser down the back. Its kind of small - but they have good quality stuff. Here is their site: http://www.kidscentral.com.au/Store/Home/. They are on the basement floor - outside David Jones (I think DJs, maybe it was Myer, they are very close to each other anyway) and turn to the left... There is a pumpkin patch opposite it (although for some reason I never go in there...). Kids Central is the main one I use at Chaddy... But be warned that parking is such a nightmare there at the moment (depending on what time you can get down there) - they are doing some construction (hopefully of more car parks!!).

hi there, just at work at the moment, obviously not working much! how are you going so far with your pregnancy? i'm just at the stage where everything is feeling good, except for headaches. i can't wait to get started shopping for this little one!

JackaMumma - Wednesday, 30 April
Hi Tracmac!! Always good to hear from another Aussie :D A guy from work has one of the Bugaboo Cameleons and he says its awesome. Turns out I didnt have to work too hard to sell it to my husband either, as he was home late from work last night (promised he'd be early) and had to leave early this morning / could not drop off Zac at childcare - so I said - you owe me, this child needs a Bugaboo - he said 'OK you can have the Bugaboo'. Apparently Kids Central at Chaddy give you a $350 voucher to spend on other stuff in the store when you buy one as well, so will check it out on the weekend. Hope all is well with your pregnancy :) Are you going nesting crazy too?

emsfirstbebe - Tuesday, 22 April
Hi Trac, early this morning I was trying to remember I could've sworn those cribs in the store looked lower than normal, then saw heti's post a few minutes ago that they ARE lower than normal. I remember now that they look low enough you dont need to drop the sides, but will have to go back to double check! I'm pretty sure I am getting one, just not sure if it will be the white or the wood, I cant decide. Well have a good day! :)

queenbee - Tuesday, 22 April
Thanks, it was a huge shock. But I am so happy knowing what I am having so that I can plan. Congrats on your boy, and to a healthy pregnancy!

Hey trac, congrats on the healthy IT! and well done for not asking!!! I admire you......you will really be glad when you deliver the baby and get a surprise.....I have my scan on disc and as the tech showed me the boy bits I can see them and know what to look for....but if they hadn't told me I would never have seen it in a million years!!! anyways, well done and talk to you later xxxx

mikesbaby - Friday, 11 April
Aw, that must be hard not to have your rings! I've only been married for less than 2 years, but I've never really had them off before. I'm starting to wonder if they'll ever go back ON. Good luck with your pregnancy!
