Little bit of info about me...
I have a wonderful husband and a gorgeous little boy (Luke) and we are currently pregnant with our second child.
We have been trying to fall pregnant for 4 months now... We were trying whilst I was breastfeeding (I started cycling 6 months ago)... When I stopped breastfeeding altogether, which was 2 months ago, we fell pregnant again :)
We are extremely happy but a bit anxious at the same time...
All the best to you all for the New Year and 2008... May it be a very happy time for you all and good luck with the baby making!!

Just booked obstetrician in Perth today, Dr Chris Gunnell (heard he's fantastic, so happy we could be squeezed in). I am feeling really concerned about this preganncy cos we are moving up north this year and I have to fly to Perth for OB appontments... Going to cost plenty money, going to put stress on other family members to accomoddate us and generally me & hubby concerned that he not going to make the birth due to time off work etc. Big difference compared to our last pregnancy which was soooo easy down south (hospital 5 min away, all doc appoints covered by Medicare, health fund paid ALL delivery). So anxious anxious at the mo... we have additonal stressors of having to move & trying to establish a job for me up north etc... All a bit hard today, I must be able to blame some of this on HORMONES!!! :(

Ohhh the morning sickness is starting to kick in... Blugh!
12/1/08
Still suffering with morning sickness ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!! I didn't have it with my son so maybe, fingers crossed I have a girl!!!! That would be great. Used the fortune baby site the other day plus every other gender prediction site and most of them predict a boy... As long as bub is healthy and has all it's bits I will be estatic!! My birthday tomorrow, bit exciting :)

I got a full time job offer today!!! Awesome cash and great conditions. Only thing is I am staying quiet about the bub... that way I will be able to claim maternity benefits etc etc. Just hope know that morning sickness starts to ease in a few weeks and I get a lovely daycare worker looking after my munchkin (only 3 days a week) I'll take him with me for the other 2 days :) Gee feeling like this, working and looking after child will be a tough gig!!

Well we have safely arrived in Newman and it has been an EXTREMELY hectic journey!!! Drama'a as always with moving, however we are strting to unpack and settle in so will now get stuck into to work and see how we go... Honestly babies must be pretty resilient little things!!! I have been sooooo stressed and the bub is hanging in there... this is going to be one tough little cookie!! Oh well have a million and one things to do so must gooo... :)

Okay lots has happened since last writing... I had my nuchal-translucency ultrasound and doc said bub is growing at a fast rate and due date with scan is 28th Sept... Still going to stick with 1st September however. Was so nice seeing bubbas little heart beat and he/she turned as if to say hello!! Sooo sweet.
Had a carzy experience with babysitter situation. Headed to the door, 1st day of daycare and I hear 'would you kids f___ing shut-up'!! I was horrified, when I got in there, another kid bullied my little man and the man in the house man-handled him very roughly (i was not impressed) we then went outside and my son grabbed a piece of chalk, I took it off him and the lady said "it's ok, all kids eat chalk". I said not mine he will choke, please watch him carefully... Left balling my eyes out. Got back there in the afternoon and he had spewed ( A LOT). Pulled him out of daycare.
Told work I was preganant today... I feel like the world been lifted off my shoulders!!!
I am still feeling morning sickness in the afternoons, so hopefully that subsides this week.

Feeling bit concerned about bubs ultrasound pic... looks like half the head is missing??? Going to Perth next week so I have booked a doc appointment with obstetrician to see what he thinks??? Apart from that only put on 1 and half kg's so far which is on par with pregnancy #1 so hopefully won't put on as much this time around. Write again soon, after been to Perth :) Till then will post pic of my ultrasound pic and you guys can decide??

Went to see doc last week and all is good... He said he wished that we never got photos at scans cos they tend to look a little askew!!! He put my mind at rest and I am now not as worried just feeling hideously FAT!!! Just curious as to your opinions???
Thanks in advance!!!

Well been on school hols and had 20 week scan... We stayed strong and didn't find out!!! Very happy with self... thinking it will give me extra incentive to get this one out :) Have put on a load of weight over last 3 weeks... looking very preggo now and that's not a bad thing... Feeling lots and lots of kicks and pushes and have even wet my self twice!! UMMA need to get onto those pelvic floor exercises ASAP!!! Talking about exercise not done any this whole pregnancy and feeling really bad about it... must get onto that.
I still think we are having another boy, and if it is then we will go for #3... Why not hey! Another boy will be fantastic for Luke to hang with and look after :)

I am now in my 28th week and bigger than Ben Hur!!! I have put on a stack of weight recently and my once before on track weight regime has blown out of proportion... I have decided to stop the chocco fixes, in saying that I have had a huge chocco day today! Damn willpower, gotta train it prior to the birth of this bub :) Update... 83.5kg!! OUCH!
Apart from that bub is doing great... midwife told me at last visit she thinks I m having a girl?? I still sure that I'm having a boy again this time... time will tell, not long now! Have to go and have another scan at 32 weeks to check if that placenta is outta the way... if not it will be a ceaser jobby and really don't need that as I still need to look after Lukey James, picking him up etc so will be tough to not be able to do those sorts of things for 3 months!! Last appoint with Gunnell I told him to indction till due date.. hmmm have a funny feeling that this bub going to come early... let's see if i'm right hmmmmm.
Suzy had a little girl "Amy" and Allana had a little girl "Tia" last week!!! Girls at the mo :)
Me?? Vey excited about the upcoming arrival... I am ready for it and already thinking of number 3!!?!?!??!*!* CRAZY CRAZY girl aren't I? Just remind myself of that when I'm pushing out #2 :)
Not long now... super happy and content with my life at the mo... money not a concern, husband is fantastic, Luke is a ratbag! Life is sweet :)

Had a 32 week scan a week back to check the position of the placenta. Found out that bubby has kidney reflux and the left kidney is enlarged. Didn't beleive it and was in strong denial until i got a phone call from Dr Green saying that at this stage is it 17mm which is severe!!!
Stressed out badly as one can imagine and got quite emotional and distressed. Since then have been on the phone to another obstetrician (mine is on holidays at the mo) and he said that we need follow up ultra-sounds when I get to Perth so that they know what they are dealing with closer to delivery date.
Stu and I have decided we are now going to get induced on 25th August so we have some time to do some tests (ultra-sound needed when bub is 3 days old) and follow up procedures. Worst case scenario is that there is damage to kidney and needs to be removed, others are antibiotics to reduce risk of getting urinary tract infections and also there is the very very slim chance that it may correct itself.
Hanging to get follow up ultrasound pre-birth and finally meeting our little cherib.
Feeling at this point is 'numbing' and unsure of what lies ahead.
Has taken the wind out of our sials, so to speak, however we are definitely thinking positive and hoping for the best. Saying prayer to God so that I have the strength to go through the months ahead.
Till we know more... ???
Wow! he/she really favors it's big brother!!
That is his back/side view!!! His head is most defently all there!! You can even see his little ear to the left a little and it's like he is looking away!! Congratulations! |
