My hubby is a pilot so that was one of the 1st questions i had. Valentines Day was sweet and suddle. We walked to a restaurant near the hotel we are staying at in Atlanta. I learned that Spicy foods are not for me! LOl We had Mexican Fejitas and my belly was not happy at all.I have noticed my breast of majorly tender at night and they are darkening!

agonzales - Friday, 27 June Oh really! Well I hope you pass the 3hour one. With my last baby I failed to 1hour and took the 3hour but I passed it. So maybe that will happen with you. Too bad I have it this time but I just hope after the baby it goes away. I hear when you get it during pregnancy you are more prone to get it sometime in your life. It runs in my family and I am gonna try my hardest to eat and excercise right after birth. Well I'll keep you in my prayers and take care!
agonzales - Saturday, 21 June I took my GD test a couple of weeks back. My doc decided on it a little early because she said I had glucose in my urine. I took the 1 hour test and failed it with a high number. So she had me skip the 3hour and had me see this high risk doctor. Now they have me pricking my finger 4 times a day and keeping track of what I eat. My readings during the day are okay but the morning ones are kind of high and now they just put me on the insulin at dinner time. Tonight was my third time doing it and I hate it. It doesnt hurt when giving the shot but I just hate going through all of this and having to keep track of this or that, you know. Well when I went to my doc appt today she said good thing I had no glucose in my urine so I have to do another 1hour test in 2 weeks. I just hope it comes out normal. Some symptoms I read are fatigue, frequent urination, and feeling really thirsty which are signs a pregnant woman have already and thats the reason why they dont wont know if they have it unless they take a test. I also read that if a woman has GD then they are most likely to get Diabetes type 2 if they dont excersise and eat right. And of course it stays with you forever. It scared me when I read that since I have the gd. Dont worry yourself about it until you get your results. Everything could be fine and you will be worrying for nothing. Im sure you will do fine. Let me know how things go with your test.
ashaleed - Saturday, 21 June hey, about the GD. I had it with my first pregnancy and my sugars have been high with this pregnancy too (just took my Glucose Test today, but I'm pretty sure it will come back as positive again). I had no symptoms of GD at all. They say thirst, extreme tired (which I think all pregnant women have anyways really) and things like that are signs but my only real sign was my sugar levels were high...which I didn't know until after my glucose test failed and I had to start monitoring my blood. Now, having said that...its really not very common to get GD so I'm sure everything will turn out fine for you! Even if you end up with it, its not that big of a deal. Diet modification is the main thing, which because its 'for the baby' isn't really that hard. Testing sugars and insulin shots can be a pain in the....but, its not horrible and doesn't hurt. My daughter was born perfectly healthy and had no effects from the GD and I also went completely back to normal within hours of the birth. Didn't have diabetes afterwards...no ill effects...nothing. I know its easy to say but try not to worry too much about it : ) good luck!
