ITS A BOUNCING BABY BOY
MY BIRTHING STOREY
I WENT INTO HOSPITAL ON THURS 17TH JULY TO BE INDUCED - 1 WEEK OVER DUE - I WAS INDUCED AT 7PM AND WENT STRAIGHT INTO LABOUR AND WAS 4CM DILATED BY 8PM!!!! THIS WAS FANTASTIC
HAD A NIGHT OF CONTRATIONS - PAINFUL ALL IN MY BACK - I WAS RECHECK AT 6AM AND HAD ONLY DILATED BY ANOTHER 1 CM - SO 5CM - THEN CHECKED AT 8AM AND WAS ONLY 5 1/2 CM BUT MY CONTRATONS WERE EVERY MIN...
WENT OVER TO DELIVERY WARD AND THEY LET MY CARRY ON TILL 1PM AND SAID I WAS NOW ONLY 6 CM - SO I WASNT DILATING QUICK ENOUGH - I WENT IN THE WATERPOOL - AS I WANTED A WATER BIRTH BUT MADE MY CONTRATIONS 10 TIMES WORSE - COME OUT AT 3PM AND WAS RECHECKED - STILL ONLY 6CM
DOC COME ALONG AND SAID I WILL NEED TO GO ON A DRIP TO GET ME DILATING QUICKER BECAUSE IT CAN BE DANGEROUS TO BABY AND ME - PUT ME ON THE DRIP AND IT WAS AGONISING - SO THEY GAVE ME AN EPERDURAL AND I COULDNT MOVE - HAD TO HAVE CAFFITER FITTED - YUCK..
ANYWAY CARRIED ON WOTH LABOUR TILL 7PM AND RECHECKED I WAS FINALLY AT 9CM - SO THEY TOLD ME TO STAR PUSHING AT 7.30PM - WITCH I DID - THE PRESSURE IN MY BUM WAS UNREAL - I WAS EXSULSTED TOO....
BY 8.45 BABYS HEART BEAT DROPPED AND I HAD 7 DOCS AND 3 MIDWIFES IN - THEY SAID IF I CANT GET HIM OUT BY 9 I WILL HAVE TO HAVE C -SECTION - I GAVE IT EVERYTHING I HAD - EVRY CONTRACION I DONE WHAT I COULD - BY 9.05 THEY SAID BABY HEART BEART DROPPING COME ON TRING YOU CAN DO THIS - I PUSHED AN PUSHED
THEY SAID WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO TO CUT YOU - I SAID WHATEVER GET MY BABY OUT - THEY GAVE MY A INJECTION SO I DIDNT FEEL THEM BUT ME - BUT THE NEEDLE SNAPPED THEY MANAGED TO GET IT OUT - BUT DIDNT HAVE TIME TO GIVE ME ANOTHER ONE - SO THEY CUT ME FRONT TO BACK WITH NO PAIN RELIEF I FELT EVERYTHING ----
ANYWAY ITS NOW 9.15PM AND DOC SAID I GOT ONE MORE PUSH AND IT HE DOESNT COME OUT C-SECTION - SO I GAVE IT EVERYTHING AND HE WAS BORN AT 9.18PM.
HE WASNT BREATHING - I WAS CRYING AND SHOULTING - MY PARNER SAID HES DEAD??? THEY MANAGED TO GET HIM BREATHING AFTER 10 MINS - IT SEEMED LIKE A LIFE TIME...
HE IS HERE NOW AND SO LOVELY - IT WAS THE HAREST THING EVER BUT WORTH IT - HE IS MY MIRICLE - THEY SAID WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE HIM,,,
I FEEL LIKE SUING THE HOSPITAL AS IT WAS BECAUSE OF HIS SIZE WE HAD SO MANY PROBS - THEY KNEW HE WAS BIG AND SHOULDNT OF LET ME GO THAT FAR.
MACKENZIE WAS 11LB AND THE BIGGEST BORN NATUALLY AT MAIDSTONE HOSPTAL IN 11 YEARS

well we will just have to keep watching it and hope she tells him soon....
no signs here but i have a week to go till im 37 weeks...so maybe this time next week i will be a mum of 5 and not 4 ha ha..
i cant go to crowborough hosp till midnight tuesday as they wont let you go there till your 37 weeks, with josie i phoned them to say my waters had broken and it was only 11pm and they said if she was to come straight away i would have to go to pembury... luckily i called them at 12.10am to say i was having strong contractions and i went in....then had her a 2.20 in the morning so i made the 37 weeks by 2.20 mins ha ha
but i have a feeling this one is going to be lazy and not come as soon, i dont know why?? just a strange feeling that he wont be early??? but i will keep my finges crossed...
anyway hows things going with you and baby...whats new?? is he all fit and healthy now??

We are thinking Anna Christine after both of our grandmothers, but we are not positive yet. :) We were both very close to them and no one else in the family has used either name yet so..... I feel like it has taken so long for May 1! I'm glad we waited this long though, because our ultrasound tech said that 30 weeks was really the best time for the pics as the baby has more fat and looks better, but at the same time, they are still small enough to fit on the screen. :)

Well I have a bit of pain on my right buttock if that's what you are getting, and yeah I start off with a limp but then it kinda goes away after some stretching. I went to see a physiotherapist at the hospital last Thurs and she told me to do all these stretching exercises twice a day - not sure if its helping me or not but I have to see her again in a months time to see if there is any improvement.
Had the mother of all leg cramps last night though! It was my toes, my leg and the front of my calf all going off at once!!! Ouchy!
Yes I m getting big now but Louis is active most of the day which is good. He doesnt kick as much as he used to but that's coz Im quite petite and i have tight abdominal muscles on my stomach! I can feel his little hands tickling me though very low down near my pubic bone. He's head down most of the time now which is good.
How's your little boy doing my sweet?
I've got 5 weeks to go until i go on maternity leave - can't wait to do loads of shopping!! Ive got most of the clothes for my boy now but need to sort out my hospital bag and get some nappies etc.

Nah I didn't watch it but I heard from Yahoo answers that she has a still born at birth - very scary indeed! Considering we only have 10 weeks left to go - its probably going to be the hardest 10 weeks not knowing what's going to happen! Eeeeekkkk!

Hi luv, ya no what Ive been in quite bad pain down below and also at the bottom of my stomach. i talked to the midwife about it and she told me with this being my third it can be more painful than with my previous pregnancies, obviously that wont be the case with you. Im sure its normal though, pregnancy seems to get more and more painful as it goes on. Dunno bout you but im sick to death of being pregnant, cant wait for my ugly bump to go so i can look sorta normal again. LOL I get my anti D injec tomorrow :( Hope you are well. xxxx PS my hol was fab great to get away from normal life for abit. xxxxx

Sweetie, the pain you are feeling could be nerves, I have a pain to the right of the vagina, that travels down my right leg, I have been told it is from my boy laying on a nerve and damn does it hurt! Just take it easy and try to put your feet up for atleast an hour twice a day. Good luck hunni! x x x x x

Hi there, I used to get really bad cramps in my legs with my first pregnancy, apparently if you add more salt to your diet it helps, I used to have a snack bag of chips b4 going to bed and it helped enormously, but it didn't help with the weight gain!!

Read your post about the pains. The pain in your privates is prob round ligament (stretching pains). And to help woth the charlie horses at night take more calcium. I was having the same prob and someone suggested more calcium to me and I have not had them since. I hope that this helps cause you certainly don't need to be in pain. Take care

most of the people i speak to on this site have gained 1 1/2 to 2 and a half stone so far. all my friends who have had babies gained between 3 and 4 stone - i think only wags gain 1-2 stone lol
