Hi my name is Trish and I am expecting thanks to ivf.

This will be our first child and although want to be excited am struggling as im very nervous , hopefully will calm down in a few weeks and then maybe can start enjoying being pregnant.

oh my god we were told at 6 week scan we are expecting twins !!

BIRTH STORY

very boring really , twins were born by planned c-section due to me having problems with my liver that could do them harm.

On the 5th June 2008 I arrived at our local hospital at 8am and put on a monitor , then the surgen did a scan so that she was sure where the babies were.(1 head down , 1 breech ).

At 9.15am I was taken to the operating theatre and given a spinal anesthetic this took about 30 mins to administer. I was then layed down and a screen was put up across my chest , my partner was then brought in and sat beside me.

At 9.50am James was born weighing 5lb 3oz and after some oxygen was passed to my partner , Charlotte followed at 9.52am weiging 6lb 4oz she also needed a little oxygen but was them layed beside me while they closed up the wound (this took about 40 mins ).

I was taken to recovery for monitoring for half an hour , and I fed my twins while there with the help of a lovely midwife who had been with me all the way through . I was then sat lunch time.
