I figured i should probably update my profile as i havnt bothered since i joined.My name is Dawn,im 26 and from the south of England.I had a pregnancy 9 years ago and in my 41st week,i went in due to lack of fetal movement to be told my baby had passed away but i had to give birth.It turns out she had a major congeital heart defect and also my placenta had died off.Turns out i have a notched uterine artery which means my placenta can fail at any time.Therefore i am having regular growth scans with this pregnancy,any signs of slow growth,this baby gets induced.Im amazed im pregnant again to be honest.I got PCOS almost straight away after my last pregnancy and spent the past 7 years with 1 period per year.As soon as my current partner and i became sexually active,i went on the pill just in case and by the time we decided to try for a baby,my periods were regular and i concieved naturally.I wanted an August baby and my wish has been fulfilled.

This pregnancy has been turbulent.I spent the first 3 months in bed due to a kidney infection i couldnt get rid of.I had alot of bleeds from 6 weeks up until 13 weeks.At my 12 week scan the nuchal translucency showed it was large and i was then put into the high risk group for having Downs...not that it made a difference.I didnt have the amnio.I will love my baby no matter what.I then was put on aspirin to help my notched uterine artery and along with that came alot of blood in my urine which they cant find the reason for.I have since had the usual lack of fetal movement,another big bleed at 29 weeks,yeast infections,ligament pains,the usual but my baby is doing wonderfully.Her heart scan showed no heart problems,and that she was growing great.All i ask for is the last part of this pregnancy to go smoothly as im having problems getting the head OB to actively want to do anything despite all of the DR's,midwives and regstrar's being super worried and wanting me induced early.How i wish i was American and had decent regular health care...........
