well my name is tanisha and im pregnant with my second child...this time with a boy...i have a beautiful daughter named tasia who will be 2 on april 16...the only problem i have with a baby boy is that i dont know what to do with one...i dont have any brothers so this is going to be a challenge...well right now im in school for nursing but taking a cna class for right now cause with 2 kids i need a good job....as for my babies father he is there emotionally and physically but not finacially.... so i feel like and idiot for getting pregnant by him again...i just think he doesnt know what he should be doing...he was in foster care his whole life so he didnt really have any one to show him the right path...i know he is trying but my patience is getting thin and i cant wait on him forever...i need to think about mine and my childrens well being and nobody elses cause other wise i will just be held back by the people that dont want to do shit for themselves and i will never get anywhere...i hold my head high and i know what i can accomplish...what i do may take me longer then someone else but as long as it gets done im ok with that.

Birth Story...May 11 2008...Mothers Day

I was having little contractions all day on saturday then saturday night around 8-9 my boyfriend decides he wants to have sex and i tell him no because i might go into labor. he then say no i think u have one or two more weeks and im like no watch me have him. and of course around 12 am i started getting them really bad. I couldnt take the pain anymore arond 3:30 so i called one of my best friends to come pick me up. My boyfriend stayed home with our daughter. When i get to the hospital they check me and i was already 4 cm dialated. I wasnt givin an epirdural at once because i was tested postive for the group B strep so i had to be givin medicene first so i couldnt get the epirdural for an hour. around 5:30-6 am i got the epidural. so all i could do then was wait. while i was waiting i was getting these sharp pains right above me vagina every time i had a contraction and the doctor told me i was having the pain because of the way the baby was positioned and there was nothing he could do about it (the epirdural did not fix this problem!!) sooner or later (dont remember the time because i was in so much pain) they broke my water when i was 6 cm because the babys heart rate was droping everytime i laid on my back and laying on my side was helping either. after my water was broken in a matter of min. maybe 15-25 i was 10 cm. and ready to deliver. my best friend was coaching me threw the whole thing because my boyfriend wasnt there yet. my boyfriend came rushing in in a panic and was crying (ha he is so sensitive lol). the nurse ended up delivering my baby because the doctor was with another girl who delivered 3 min. before me. the nurse got congratulated for doing such a good job and then she bragged a little saying it wasnt her first. in my opinion she was alright, she didnt really do much by helping me but by saying keep breathing, my friend was pretty much the one telling me when to push..and tim (my boyfriend) was holding my hand and telling me i was doing a good job.well the baby was having a hard time breathing and didnt cry when he came out...they kept saying comon i know u want to cry and he just did a little whimper but he ended up being ok...about 5 min. after i gave birth the nurse came in and told me there was a reporter outside that wanted to talk to me about what it feels like to have a baby on mothers day. (i had my first on easter) they couldnt interview the girl that had a baby first because she didnt speak english...i told them i didnt want to be in the newspaper because i was looking like a hot mess...no makeup..hair messy...i looked horrible...my mom was like why would u ask her that look at her...look at her hair...(she told me if i did it she would tell people she didnt know me) but tim was like i should do it....he said i looked fine but i wasnt going to take his word for it...(for one thing he was lookin crazy too) so at 9:33 in the morning Tyree Elijah was born at 5 pounds 11 oz. and 18 in

I'm so glad to hear that things are settling down for you. Sometimes all it takes is for someone to step in for a little while and offer some help. I'm glad that you have family in town. I wish that we all didn't have to work so much and were able to spend more time with our families, but in todays economy, we don't have a choice. How is your little baby doing? I hope just fine. Yes, this will be my first child, but my husbands third. He has two children from a previous marriage. You're so funny, when you said about teaching kids words like boobs and shut up. At a family reunion years ago, my older brother was singing "Old MacDonald" to our cousins little son, but instead of my brother saying "with a moo moo here and a moo moo there....." he said "with a fart fart here and a fart fart there...." Well he went and told his mom and she was not happy with my brother!(My brother should have known better, he was about 25 yrs old, but boys will always be boys!) Anyway, I had to laugh, I will never forget that! Well, I will keep you informed on how things are going and let me know how you're doing too. -Tonya

Congratulations on your new baby boy!!!!!!!

Ohhh, congratulations on your new baby boy!! 5lbs 11oz, he's just a little peanut! I would love to see pictures of him when you get a chance. I'm sorry that you had a rough first day, I think that after a little while the "thrill" will wear off of your daughter and maybe she won't be all over him as much......but, who knows! :) Try to take it easy as much as possible. Is your boyfriend off on weekends? You will get your routine down, and then it will get easier too.
I'm just waiting for my AF to start, should be around the 27th of this month. Then I will start to take the Clomid again. I will also use the ovulation predictor kits and when I get a positive result, I'm suppossed to call the Dr right then and schedule an appt to have the insemination done. When that happens, we will go to the office and give them a semen sample from my husband (he's thrilled about this....ha ha, not really) and they will use a technique where they "wash" it. They told me that by doing this, they take out only the "good" parts (active sperm, etc.) and then put it into a catheter. They then insert it (vaginally) into my uterus so that it's close to my tubes and deposit the sperm there. They say that during normal sex, the sperm is just at your cervix and it has to make it past there and into your uterus and up into your tubes to meet the egg. A lot of the sperm die trying to make it there and a lot of them, apparently don't know where they're going, and never make it there either! He said that by putting them right next to my tubes, they have a better chance of finding the egg! Boy, I sure hope so. He said that there is only a 20% chance of it working the first time, but if we plan on doing it for about 3-4 months in a row, the odds of it working increase and they have had a high success rate. I feel real excited and I hope that it works on our first try, of course. I hope that I don't have a lot of nausea, like you did with your daughter. It's called hyperemesis and I took care of a lady at work about 2 weeks ago who had that. She had to get admitted because she was getting so dehydrated. She also had a Zofran pump inserted into her leg so that she was getting a little bit of the medicine all of the time. She had just got it inserted the day that I took care of her, so she was not feeling any relief from it yet, but I hope that it's working for her now. So much trouble women have to go through just to have a precious little baby, but I'm sure it's worth it in the end, right? Please tell me that it is!!
Well, keep me posted on how you're doing and congratulations, again on your sweet little baby! -Tonya

Hey happy mommy day keep me updated what's going on wit u and baby

tonyab - Friday, 9 May
Good for you to complete the CNA class! I'm sure you will do well on your exam in July. Our hospital has not fired or layed off any of our CNA's. I know there are a lot of rumors going around about what's going on there especially since the union got voted in. Most of them are not true. It's a good hospital to work for (again, it's not without it's faults, but we're working on that). I have not thought about someone carrying my baby, but I have thought about adoption. I went to the Dr today (my page is updated), so we will keep trying as long as the Dr thinks there's a chance and then go from there if things don't work out. I hope that your appt goes well tomorrow. Maybe being induced will be a good thing. I know that everyone always says that the last few weeks of pregnancy are so uncomfortable! Let me know how your appt goes. I'm sending well wishes your way! -Tonya
