Hi my names Marie, me and my husband first found out we were expecting in february and were both very excited. When we went for our 12 week scan we had quite a shock 2 find out we were expecting twins, we couldn't believe it but were very happy. We decided to find out the sexes as we have so much to plan for for when they arrived and knowing has made it bit more interesting than having cream or cream. At the 20 week scan we found out we were expecting a boy and a girl which is what we were hoping for, the pregnancy so far has been fine but a little uncomfortable at times. Currently i am 25 weeks 1 day pregnant getting very excited but nervous at the same time.

30th June : had my growth scan today and everything seems to be going well, baby girl has caught up in size with the boy and there isnt much difference between them now at all. the consultant told me not to worry about only gaining 8lbs as both babies are doing well, plus its going to be easier to lose less after. got another appointment at the hospital for a detailed scan by the consultant which is where they can see whether the tiny whole in the girls heart has closed which they are expecting it to and if not during pregnancy then should do after the birth. i'm seeing the midwife 16th july so will update then ....

16th july : Hd midwife appointment today, all is fine. both babies heartbeats were good (when she found them, they were wriggling about alot) one is breech and the other is head down. I'm 28 weeks now measuring 34, so looking rather large now! got my next scan in 2 weeks time on 30th july. Still had no direction as to when they may be born so its just wait and see when they decide to make an appearance.

30th july : Had my detailed scan today with the consultant, things went brilliantly... my placenta is no longer low, they are both head down and the hole in the little girls heart is no longer there. things are great. i see my own consultant on monday and they will organize my next scans and appointments. as it looks today everything is fine so no need for any worries... lets hope it stays that way. im 30 weeks now so not long left now.
