Here is my story...I first got pregnant in 2006 but wasn `t really planning for motherhood. But God had different plans for me. We got pregnant right away and I was just getting used to the idea of being a mother when I found out I was having twins on Mother `s Day!!! What a shock. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would have twins. Overall I had a pretty uneventful pregnancy (except for a ton of BHC and lots of U/S as they shared a placenta). In the end I was induced at 37 weeks and gave birth to identical girls. They did really well and we were all sent home after only 5 days in the hospital. They are now 16 months old.

And now.... I am pregnant again with twins!!!! What are the odds??? Seriously, I would like to know. We thought, oh, we could handle one more, but again God had different plans. Once again we got pregnant right away and I began to suspect very early on that there was two again (I could feel my uterus already at 8 weeks and oh I was starving again). Well here is to lots of prayer for another healthy pregnancy and to keeping my sanity (I will have 4 under 2).

12 w 5d today! I had my nuchal scan today and everything was fine! Their heart rates were both 157 and they were moving around a bunch. Hopefully everything continues to go well!

So I had my first OB/GYN appt Monday and everything is fine. I will have an U/S in one month (and hopefully find out the sex), see my doc again, then follow up in one more month and then every two weeks to check for premature labour. That `s it!

Yes, I saw that episode!!!!:) My mom is the one that gives them the junk!!!! But only after they clean their plates! My MIL does not maintain a schedule for herself and does not eat meals at normal times so it never really occurs to her to be sure and feed the kids a meal at certain times! When I am in the hospital either my mom or DH is at my house to be sure my kids eat good meals! But I know she is just not accustomed to having little ones to think of, and just having so many overwhelms her.

Aww, so are your girls identical?
I had always hoped mine would of been identical, and I would have to be honest that yes I was kinda disappointed, but they are soo cute, and I love them so its okay.
Yes, my kids like to sit and read books, sort of, my baby b likes to still toys from his brother, and be a terrorist it seems, but they both throw toys at eachother or they like to hit you or what not when they get mad.
So yes I will let you know after fridays ultra sound, I am a bit nervous, people keep saying how big my tummy is getting and asking if I was this far along with my boys when I started to show, and all this stuff. Actually before I found out it was twins the first time, my husband joked about it, and now he is joking about it being 3 this time. That is when I feel I could scream lol. I don't know if I could do triplets as well as my twins.

I have been signed off again for another week my doctor is referring me to antenatel physo! Work has agreed as well that i can work a few hours a day in the office and then work the rest from home phew!!! only 7 weeks left at work.

I sleep with a body pillow to help my back and put a hot water bottle on it which helps!

Nope no stretch marks like you i didn't get them with my first pregnancy so fingers crossed i won't get them this time, i do moistrise morning and night! Keep putting on the cream or oil!

I bet its lovely watching them play together just thinking about it makes me smile!

Sleeping is like you find it hard to turn over and get up!!! help got another ?? weeks to go until they arrive! I really hope they induce me at 37 weeks!

Back is still really bad just need to learn to lay down more and chill out! hows your back?

My MIL is great but six wks gets to be a bit overwhelming!!! I have a hard time setting and keeping a schedule with her here because she is a night owl and likes to sleep in, so we find that we tend to let the kids stay up later, so they in turn sleep later etc etc. She is here to help and I do not want her to feel unappreciated in any way but it is always a relief when it is time for her to go home. Since my FIL passed away nearly 2 yrs ago, I think she feels at a loss for things to do. He had been bedridden with Parkinson's disease/ severe dementia for a little over 4 yrs, and she was the primary care taker.

My DH works second shift for the railroad, and my Mom is a kindergarten teacher/aid and only works until 1 pm. Your husband must work public safety(police/fire/paramedic) My best friends husband is a paramedic and it is great that they can be so active and available at home!!!!!!

Ya I have a hard time sleeping too....I love to me on my belly!!! So how are the twins? Was it hard when they were newborns?

I do have family that lives close by, but they all work. My mom and my DH have schedules that will only leave me alone with no one available for a max of 1 hr, so that will be nice. I think I should be fine , but knowing that if I need help it is availble helps put my mind at ease!!!
When will you meet the nanny in person? How long will you be out of work? Or will you be working outside the home?I think you will enjoy having an extra set of hands around the house when needed!!!! I know I sure would. I understand the concern of having someone live with you day in and day out, because I have a hard time when my MIL comes to stay for 6 weeks at a time! I feel guilty, like I am some how not doing my motherly duty or something! I sure miss all the help when she leaves though!!!! She keeps all the laundry and dishes done while she is here. Who would have thought that not having to do those two things would besuch a break!
Hope the girls get to feeling better soon!!! My 19 mo has just been thru all of that wonderful stuff and boy are we looking forward to him being done with teething!!!!! Take care!!!

No more scans? i have got 2 more at the hospital and then 1 more at a private clinic (4d) doctors know best i suppose!

Thank you for answering my question about labour, I was fine with my daughter so fingers crossed all ok with the twins.

Hot water is working for me for my back..... it wasreally bad yesterday and that bad that i had a funny turn and nearly passed out with the pain! back to the doctors tomorrow to see what she says.

When is your next scan? we are paying for a 4d scan in a few weeks can't wait!. never had that sort of technology when i had my daughter Freya!

Fingers crossed our babies do turn... on the scan the boy was kicking his sister in the head and sucking his thumb (pictures on my profile)

Sorry to ask you so many questions but you have had twins already and hearing things from a mum of twins is so much bettter then reading those books!

Both of my twins are spot on for the weeks, but just wasn't sure about the weight i will ask at my next appointment!

I would like a natural birth too, is the contractors with the twin the same as the first twin?

How are you feeling at the moment? i am suffering with my back a bit and still waiting for my cravings to kick in!!

Yes, some days when my kids are having a bad day I feel I am crazy for wanting two more, some days I feel I want twins again, other days its like man I'm crazy.

Hi, I am glad you enjoyed the trip!!!!! My DH and I really need to get away before these two arrive!!!! So far I have not gained any weight, but I usually start around week 14 or 15 and once I get started there's no stopping me! I gained 40lbs last go round, but I am starting at a lower pre-preg weight this time also!!!!
I am glad you have found a nanny. I think it is great to have someone you trust and the kids are comfortable with to help. We are financially limited, so a full time nanny is out of the question, but boy would I love it sometimes!!!!! Take care!!! Did you ever find out the sex of the other baby?

I go back to the doctor tomorrow morning, so I'll see what he says. I have already gained 25lbs, I don't know if this is good or bad. But I feel 9 months pregnant right now. Very hard to get around and a lot of back and leg pain. I already have back problems, so this just adds to it. Before I got pregnant I was taking 3-4 vicodin a day for the back pain, so its really bad when I can't take anything. Just dealing with it. Happy Mothers Day.

Not long to go until our babies are here if we go to 37 weeks then only 15 weeks to go thats scary!!!

Yep i got a dress and tried it on again on Friday and it still fits! the do that we are going to is a very posh do, long cocktail dresses but i would look absolutely ridculous in one so i have optioned for a knee lentgh satin fitted dress which looks nice as from the back i don't look pregnant just have boobs and a bump and this shows my bump off!

How are your twins laying.....my little girl is head first and the little boy is feet first i hope he turns.... do you know the weight of your babies too one is 399g and the other one is 418g just wondered if that was big or small for twins?

Thanks for the info. Yes, my doctor has already told me that i will have a C-section. I'm not really nervous about the surgery itself but the recovery. But, I figure if they do come at 34 weeks or before that I will be recovering while they are in the NICU. I would love to make it longer than 34, but that may be pushing it. They estimate that after surgery most patients deliver about 10 weeks after surgery, which would be next week for me. But we hope not! The average for all patients after surgery is around 31 weeks.

I am glad to hear that ya'll didn't have TTTS, it has been a whirlwind to say the least. I'm glad to see that your girls are so happy and healty! I have faith that our boys will do great and beat the odds! We have had a great support system, which has made the whole experience of surgery and bedrest bearable!

Well i will keep my fingers crossed for a boy for you, but as long it the baby is ok, then it doesn'y matter.....

Not long till you go away, i bet you are so excited to get away, i said to Tony that we should try and get a weekend away somewhere befor ethe twins come.

Glad you got a swimsuit tho, it seems that there is market for maternity swimwear and maternity posh dresses! we have a very posh do to go to in London in a few weeks and there are no decent posh dresses.. so i have brought a normal dress a few sizes bigger.

I get to find out what we are having next Tuesday 6th i can't wait but am very nervous too, always worry that something is wrong and as i only feel movement on one side that worries me toom but some sites say that is normal and i do look huge too!

How are we going to survive the next 17 weeks...... we will be crawling round on our knees as like you my back is started to hurt!

I have finally found my pram as well its buy Emmaljunga and called a twin cerox 360, and it fits through normal doors phew!!!
