Here is my story...I first got pregnant in 2006 but wasn `t really planning for motherhood. But God had different plans for me. We got pregnant right away and I was just getting used to the idea of being a mother when I found out I was having twins on Mother `s Day!!! What a shock. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I would have twins. Overall I had a pretty uneventful pregnancy (except for a ton of BHC and lots of U/S as they shared a placenta). In the end I was induced at 37 weeks and gave birth to identical girls. They did really well and we were all sent home after only 5 days in the hospital. They are now 16 months old.

And now.... I am pregnant again with twins!!!! What are the odds??? Seriously, I would like to know. We thought, oh, we could handle one more, but again God had different plans. Once again we got pregnant right away and I began to suspect very early on that there was two again (I could feel my uterus already at 8 weeks and oh I was starving again). Well here is to lots of prayer for another healthy pregnancy and to keeping my sanity (I will have 4 under 2).

12 w 5d today! I had my nuchal scan today and everything was fine! Their heart rates were both 157 and they were moving around a bunch. Hopefully everything continues to go well!

Thursday, 20 Mar

So I had my first OB/GYN appt Monday and everything is fine. I will have an U/S in one month (and hopefully find out the sex), see my doc again, then follow up in one more month and then every two weeks to check for premature labour. That `s it!

Yep he is head up again.... and i thinjk he is running out of room to turn as his sister is taking up all the space!!! I have a scan in 2 weeks time (32 weeks) so you never know he may have been able to sneak past his sister!!!

You may be able to see what your other twin is when i had my scan at 28 weeks he was pround of showing his boys bits off!!!!

Glad your sugars have stablised are they worried that you haven't put enough weight on now? surely as long as the twins are putting on weight and growing then that should be ok?

I had a check up on Wednesday and i have been told that i am borderline anemic and that i HAVE to take iron tablets even tho they made sicker then i already was!!! i am now taking spatone which you mixed with orange juice, i was told if i don't take any iron then chances are i will have to have a blood transfusion when the twins are born... GREAT so i am pursirvering with the iron YUK!!! just want to stop feeling sick i don't want to feel like this when i am in labour!!

How are you feeling are you feeling sick?

No not packing yet, we are hoping to have the keys by the 8th August and as the house needs working to it before we move in we are going to do the works first and then move in.... the twins will hopefully be here around the 23rd August so we will move in a few weeks after they have been born!!

It is so nice to hear about other people who have had similar problems. And especially that you only waited 5 days to take them home when they were considered so small...I think it sounds like I am very similar to you in the sizes. I am 33 weeks and 2 days and my BIG one is about 4 lbs and the little about 3.2 lbs. So I am hoping I make it to at least one being over 5 lbs at birth. The specialist said she is just happy they are growing so I can stay on bed rest and no hospital. We will see what my primary doc says on Friday, I want more insight on what to expect.

I haven't got the results yet, fingers crossed it is all ok as i can't fast as when i have an empty tummy thats when i'm sick and feel sick!!!

Glad your are controlling your sugar levels ok just think of those babies.

I haven't got a date yet... but they have said that they will induce me at 37 weeks which is the 23rd August i can't for this pregnancy to be over now, my bump is so uncomfortable and hate not being able to do things!!

Wow hubby off until end of Sept thats great!

We will probably be moving just over a week after the babies are born we are in the process of buying a 4 bed house which seems to be going ok, we will have the keys on the 4th August but it needs decoarting and new flooring so we won't move in until all the works are done.

We never settled on a stroller and are just waiting to see how it all shakes out!
I have not been tested yet this pregnancy and I am hoping I do not have to do the whole monitoring and diet because I am not sure I would be very successful this time!

Mine are getting back to normal sleep patterns!Thank goodness, I was ready to go insane! They wouldn't nap and then wouldn't go down at night and would only sleep 7-8hrs each night. It was crazy!!!

Hey, we are doing pretty good. The twins are cutting teeth and my 20 mo is cutting 2 yr molars, so we have had cranky kiddos the last few days, but other than that all is well.

Glad you had a good holiday. Sorry to hear about the diabetic clinic:( I had to be monitored with my first two pregnancies but never had to do anything but watch my diet. The last pregnancies I never had any trouble. Hope they can control yours with diet ad no injections!

I hope you get your sugar diet under control for everyone's sake.

I'm so out of breath I can't believe it. I'm usually a slow breather taking my air in really slowly. THe thing now is that I have no room so I have to continuously remind myself to breath deeply or I won't get any air in to my lungs which then makes me feel weak and faint. I would have never thought I would subcontiously have to remind myself to breath. They feel huge! like 5 lbs each already. I can't wait till my 34 wk scan on 7/11 to see how big they are. I'm dreading my next blood work because I'm supposed to be taking Iron supplements because i'm borderline anemic but I always forget to take it. I have to take it once a day an hour before a meal. I'm actually looking forward to not sleeping as long as I can have myself back. I can't sit without feeling like I'm crushing them and their only going to get bigger. Anyway, sorry to go on and on.

I am sure all will be well, i did my gloucose test on Friday fingers crossed as if it comes back bad then i have got to fast.... which would be impossible as if i have an empty tummy i get and feel really sick!

Will you have to give yourself injections? I am sure all will be well.

So how was the holiday bliss having help with the girls i bet! Not long for us now 8 weeks.

I am feeling ok get very breathless and dizzy sometimes which is sometimes scary ihave mentioned it to my consultant and he isn't concerened!!!

So are you ready for your next set of twins?

Thanks much! It is so good to hear first hand accounts! I will be flying for about 13 hours all together and 3 flights in a row but I think I'll be ok! I treated myself and upgraded to Business class so I'll be able to put my feet up and get more food!! So do you really have twins twice? Was it all natural?

I'm tired. Both of mine are head down too. I know how you feel. Sometimes sitting down feels like i'm smooshing them, but then I stand up and my whole abdomen stretches and i loose my breath. Funny thing, if I lean back in a chair they immediately start kicking. I wonder if they feel like they are falling or something. Thanks for the advise on feeding. I don't plan on giving them baby food till 6 months, i think it's healthier for them. I have 7 weeks to go to my c-sec. Can't wait although I hope they stay in as long as they need too. Take care.

hey i was reading your story about being blessed with twins, twice! i think the odds of having twins twice is fairly high! my cusion had twin girls in december 2005, and then in june 2007 she had twin boys! CRAZY!!

Feel much better today think it must have been a bug i picked up, or could have been the iron tablets that my consultant gave me i have just taken another so watch this space!!!!

It is horrid when you are poorly you just want to crawl into bed i wanted to yesterday but we had so much to do!!!

We are nearly there with all the bits my pram is being delivered to my mums on Wednesday just need to get a changing bag and some more bedding and then i think we are there... how exciting 10 weeks to go whopieee!!! have you been told if you will be induced?

Like you said some days are easier then other i am having a good day today (for now anyway)!!!!

Physio was good she has given me some excercises to do and has told me to walk tall clenching my bum cheeks holding my tummy in whilst doing my pelvic floors!!!

She also told me how to sleep properly and since then i have slept soooo much better!!!

How are you little girls are they getting excited yet?

My boys are measuring 2 weeks ahead. A is weighing 3lb 11oz and B is 3lbs 14oz. Best part is they are both head down. Hopefully they will stay that way because i really ant a vaginal birth.

You should try and nap when your girls are sleeping you need to keep those batteries charged!

I'm hoping my sickness hasn't come back i had to make my partner pull the car over today on the way back from a check up as i was sick and felt sick all day, fingers crossed i have a 24 hr bug!!!

I met my consultant today he has said that he will induce me at 37 weeks 10 weeks to go!! he has also put me on iron tablets? i'm not anemic but advise me to take them, are you on them?

So how are you feeling... any twinges?

I know the feeling! We have had company and it has thrown us all out wack!!!!! Can not wait for my 12 hrs again- I am sure I will be a much nicer, more sane woman when I have had a couple of good nights again.

I walk at the pace of a sloth and my back is starting to hurt. But I feel good. At least I keep telling myself I do. Do you feel when your twins flip? I feel them, I get out of breath and my cheeks turn red. I go in Friday for an U/S, I can't wait to see how much they are measuring. I keep thinking I should start packing but I still have 2 months to go and then I don't. I have everything else ready for them already, just waiting. How r u?

Well, we have our days as well, when no one wants to sleep! I figure as long as they are in their beds, happy, and safe, they get a break from me and I get a much needed break from them!LOL!!!!!
It is a wonderful thing to have someone take care of you for a change isn't it?! I love when we are with family that we do not see on a daily basis, my kids think its great to have someone besides MOM and mom agrees!!
