This is my second pregnancy and we are very excited. It took us 8 months to get pregnant with my first child, which I thought was an eternity, but this time it happened in the first month of trying. My son is my pride and joy so I can only imagine what that feeling will be like times two.....very excited and can't wait. My due date is actually July 2nd because I have to have a c-section as I did with my son, this time will be a little different because with my son I was 8 days late and went through 16 hours of labor before I had to have him by c-section. Everything will happen a lot faster this time.

25.7 hours ago I did exclusively breast feed for the first six days, but Anna lost 10% of her body weight, so the doc us start supplementing formula to get her weight back up. We discussed her feeding and sleeping schedule (pretty much the same as yours) and she had us wake her for the next two nights to get her re-hydrated and back up to a good weight. After two days, she was re-checked and the doc. said that we could let her sleep as much as we wanted at night, so long as she had at least six wet diapers per day, and she kept gaining weight at a healthy rate. She said that they like to see 1/2oz to 1oz per day weight gain at this point. For the last couple of weeks we have done a 50/50 mix of breast milk and formula about every two hours during the day and then once (when SHE wakes up) at night. I wouldn't worry about waking your son at any point unless he's not gaining weight or having wet diapers. The doc. told us to be grateful, and enjoy the sleep. :) BabyBennett -

Friday, 4 July Ha ha - I got home from the hospital and made it about an hour and a half (randomly picking up the house & playing with the dog) and couldn't handle the contractions and just told hubby it was time to go back! I fully intended to leave a comment that I was going back, but I was getting pretty cranky and just wanted to GO. :) My birth story is now up, and there is a link to pictures on my site. Tuesday, 1 July Yes, I'm planning on working until "I can't", whether that is because I go into labor (most likely) or am physically unable to for some reason. juliedue2008 -
Thursday, 26 June The epi did not hurt at all when they were doing it... really my csection was good i would go as far as saying it was dlightful .. after the crap of labor and pushing and all those fingers in my hoohoo. i hated that.. and i was the low man on the level of importance.. that is why i think i had to wait so long for the csection and it was my dr it was his parter.. my dr said he would have had me in there at 11 not 2 and i waslike thanks where the hell were you?? They did test the numbness with a needles they kinda poke at u all over.. and i said i could feel it even though i could not just to make them give me some more cuz i did not want to feel anything.. so remember that traick someone told me to do that.. then the only thing i could feel was the presure of them inside.. but no pain.. juliedue2008 -

Thursday, 26 June Since my water broke at 1am and I thougth i was having a vaginal birth I got the epi right away.. not even dilate but i had high blood pressure and they said that would bring it down.. around 11am i started to push epi ran off got a boost.. around 130 dr decided wasnt going to work and went to csection.. i have no idea what they did but seriously it was wounderful.. no pain.. no nothing.. csection was SOOOOO much better then the labor and pushing.. I am sure that i got a strong epi or spinal.. but whatever they did went into the same spot as the orginal epi.. I did get three boost since i was in labor so long.. and once i got told i was getting the csection (obly because xander was too big to fit to come out) i was numb from the brest down.. sooo nice.. and recovey was not horrible.. idid not have xander in my room the first two nights.. so that i could take all th emeds.. i think that really helped with my easy easy recovery! Anything else just ask! mommyof3goingon4 -

Do you know what the difference is between a spinal block and an epidural ? jewlo -

Wednesday, 21 May Yeah...but only afterwards. Not while they were doing it. I honestly can not remember if the spinal had hurt going in...it couldn't have been that bad or it probably would have stuck with me..lol! Don't apologize...I'm here and happy to help! :) missyh -
Wednesday, 21 May Sorry it's taken awhile for me to get back to you. Yes. My first child was an emergency c-section, the second was planned and so is this one. My spinal was fine. I did feel very nasueas (sp?) after it though and needed an anti nausea medication, which was admitted as a shot in my hip. It wasn't bad though. You'll be fine. Good luck! mommyof3goingon4 -
Saturday, 3 May hi, sorry im just getting back to you. all of my c/s have luckily been equally easy; throughout surgery & recovery. i had spinals w/ the last 2 & loved it! the first i was under general anesthesia, that was horrible. this one will be spinal as well, im just not looking forward to that first little shot. it stings pretty bad! :) i wanted try vbac w/ my 2nd, but they consider me high risk & wouldn't let me. but i love c/s & i think they have to be easier than labor & vag delivery. Good luck to you & even after 3, i still find myself anxious & nervous, so don't feel alone there. take care, Jaime NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
