I am a very busy mom with two LO, Fatimah (9, 2007) and Mariam (4,2009). I joined this site while searching for info on incompetent cervix. At the time we were scared and very worried. But with a lot of support we now have our beautiful second daughter.
What I learned is that bedrest works. We decided on opting out on the cerclage as I learned about the condition at 19 weeks. From that point on I was on bedrest and got up only for 2 bathroom visits one in the morning, one at night. I visited the doctor every 3 weeks even though they didnt agree.
The bedrest works. Take it seriously, dont cheat. I had only 1 cm of cervix at 21 weeks. It was a horrifying experience. I dont advise on not taking the cerclage, even if you have it, you should be on bedrest and take things easy.
Best of luck!!!
