I am a full time student at Arkansas State University majoring in social work, I also work part time at a child and youth pediatric day clinic. My daughter will be 3 in May and she is so awesome! Her favorite song is Fergie's "Big Girls Don't Cry" and she can sing an entire verse with no help lol! My husband is David, and he is going to school and majoring in auto body repair, he also works at a restaurant part time. Anyway, thats us, so excited to add an addition to our little world! thanks for visiting my page!

How`s my pregnancy doing?

Mine feel like a balling up is how I best describe them. My husband can even feel it. But they do not last long, and are not consistant... You will get a lot of false labour. It is your body preparing for actual labour. I know strectching hurts sometimes. And when they are moving their head down further that sometimes can cause pain. So many little things that cause us panic....lol. You will feel your whole stomach tighten and get hard when you are having a contraction. If you lay down and drink a lot of water they should go away. If they get more intense you should call the doctor. Best to have it checked out sometimes, just as a precaution. Hope everything else is going good for you!!!

kristam - Tuesday, 27 May
Hey thanks for stopping by. I actually have been cleaning house, and doing laundry... Took the kids to the zoo over the weekend, and had a great time! So I finally have a little more energy. I have been having some braxton hicks contractions. But been feeling very good..lol. Also it seems like just over night I am really showing, got a big baby belly now....lol. How about you? I am really getting excited! I am glad you are feeling good!

babiiluv - Tuesday, 27 May
my glucose test is June 9th...sooo not looking forward to it. it's weird because last check up, they gave me the stuff to drink at home and around 9am i have to drink it, then come in...i guess it's faster that way so they can get me in, stick me with a needle and see me next time. i've been getting a lot of cramps, but my doctor says it's normal.. he calls it "faulse labor" which scares me since i'm only 24 weeks and 5 days.

Hey! Im doing good-just exhausted! My son has been very sick. My husband works nights-so I have had to stay up all night and work all day!!!! I think he is finally starting to get better!! This time is going by much faster than last time!!! Wont be long!

christina1869 - Sunday, 25 May
Everything is going great with me, Ive gained over 35lb though.. But I dont care...the joy of been pregnant. The baby is kicking me nice and strong now, every time it happens Im amazed. You'd think this was my 1st pregnancy not my 4th. How much weight have you gained so far? And are you all set for the babys arrival? Ive got everything apart from the baby now. Only 16 more weeks, I can't wait. Im so excited. I hope you are well. Take care Christina

Hey! I think that it's very inspiring taking on everything that you are. The general concencous is that once you have a child everything else has to stop. I feel that being pregnant has actually motivated me to do more- just like it obviously has for you! My pregnancy is going pretty smoothly. I've felt nauseous a lot but no vomiting! No anything really! Just have less energy than normal but that's fine 'cos I lurrrrve to nap! I got a kidney infection early on that put me in hospital but hopefully thats all behind us. Honestly right now, I barely even feel pregnant, except for a little bump that is starting to show!!! How about your pregnancy- how have you been doing? Is it different from your first? Have a lovely memorial day weekend!

alexaliff - Saturday, 24 May
What a cutie pie! She really has a lovely smile.

alexaliff - Saturday, 24 May
Hey there! Congratulations on the new addition to your family. I really want to go back to school, how do you balance school with your daughter?

msmillsap08 - Thursday, 22 May
Hi, I have my glucose test coming up on the 29th of this month. Since this is my first baby, I dont know much about it. My mom had three babies and with the last one she was borderline diabetic and had to take the 3 hr glucose test and she said the stuff tastes horrible. So im hoping to avoid it. Mainly because I dont want anything to be wrong and then because I dread drinking the nasty stuff..lol I hope your foot gets better too!

msmillsap08 - Wednesday, 21 May
Hi, I too am having trouble breathing this week, I just turned 24 wks too, Im due Sept 10th. Starting to feel really prego at this point too!

prego22 - Tuesday, 20 May
Hi,
I hope you are doing great. I havent talked to you in awhile but I just wanted to let you know that I am prego with my third girl. We had our U/S today and just found out. I am really excited and cannot believe that I am going to be the mommy of three little girls! My husband is in shock, and has been for the last 6 hours...I think it is quite funny. Anyway take care and hope you are well.

hopeful2008 - Wednesday, 14 May
hey, your so welcome, i think its nice anytime when someone shows a bit of care and compassion (maybe thats the nurse in me lol) but especially so when your pregnant. Things can seem so much worse cant they!
My pregnancy is going fine thanks, i get a bit of pain here and there but thats becuase i have arthritis anyway and this pregnancy seems to have agravated it a bit, but most of the time its not too bad so i cant really moan, my hips are the worst, specially the one cos i keep getting a trapped nerve in it when i sit down and then go to stand!
I think im just getting old really hahahahahaha.
Im lucky in some ways because my husband is at home whilst i work part time, so he does quite a lot with our 2 girls, i have one whos almost 10 an the other is almost 3. The 10yr old does a lot of dancing so that is really time consuming - not to mention expensive! But at least hes willing to ferry her around to her lessons and stuff, plus taking care of the little one too. The downside to that is though that we are struggling a little financially, but hey ho, we'll get there.
We found out that im having a boy this time, i was a little dissapointed at first because i was longing for another girl, maybe thats because its all ive ever known, however im over that now and am as excited and looking forward to his arrival, babies are babies and are so adorable whatever they are arent they. Plus the way i look at it now is that i will be priveledged to know what its like to have girls and a boy so i consider myself really lucky after all.
Right dont want to bore you too much so better go, its great to chat to you, glad its helped you mind. This site is great isnt it, i love to be able to share stuff with other mums to be in the same boat, its reassuring. Anyway, you take care now luv Theresa xxx

msreid - Wednesday, 14 May
It was only the most awesomest day of my life!!! Now im bak to work. wondering why.. hahhaha actually wanting that maternity leave.

Im going to need for you to take it easy on that foot there. No more break dancing for you miss missy!
Can you even take medicine for that right now?? Ouch! My feet have been so swollen, sometimes they hurt. Gives me a reason to sit down. hahahaha
Hope the pain goes away soon. Lord knows theres a million other things going on right now... haha

hopeful2008 - Tuesday, 13 May
Oh bless ya, poor poor you, no, mine sure was painful but it sounds like you got it real bad. Being pregnant too - its the last thing you need!!
I would persivere with the cast though, as i said it will stretch out the tendon, i can imagine it being hell but hang on in there and hopefully you will feel the benefit of it after the week. Oh i really do feel for you. Have they suggested any pain killers for you? I have severe back pain at the moment and have taken some co-codamol 8/500mg (its 8mg codine and 500mg paracetamol in each tablet) you can take 2 at a time and it did help, even if it just takes the edge off for you, somethings gotta be worht it, i appreciate you have to be careful because of the baby, but mummy has to be ok too!
You take care, hope you have someone to look after you!
Thinking of you and sending you a big hug to make you feel better!
On another note, i guess mothers day is different in the UK, we had ours in March so i was a bit shocked to see all these mothers day greetings on here, i panicked for a minute and thought id missed it LOL.
Hope you had a good day anyway - despite being in such pain!
Take good care now xxxx

msreid - Tuesday, 13 May
So..... Im hitched now. And it glorious! I dont know what to do now but waiting for the baby to come.. Life couldnt be better! Babys kicking and moving everyday! Hows everything going with you!

hopeful2008 - Monday, 12 May
Hi,
I just read about your plantars facitis, i so sympathise, i had that too, the options were at the time, to take anti-inflammatories, if that didnt work they give you steroid injection into the foot, or sometimes splint you at night becuase its caused by the plantar tenon contracting slightly when you relax then when you stand on it and stretch it out you get lots of pain, so the splint helps to keep the foot stretched out so its less painful when you mobilise. Im not sure how you would go i=on with medications while you are pregnant, i guess thats why its so sore too! However, on a good side, mie just went on its own after about 3 months. a long time i know but it saved interventions!
Anyway, dont know if thats helped at all but thought id share it with you.
Hope its feeling better soon, i remember it well it was so painful. Had it in both of my feet.
Anyway, all the best to you xxx

babiiluv - Wednesday, 7 May
Thats okay that you dont have a name picked out. My grandma gave birth to her second son and didn't have a name for him! Some people say it's best to wait until the baby is born to see what she/he looks like. I like to have the name before hand because I don't want to call it "The Baby" my whole pregnancy. The apartment is really nice and I LOVE it! I love finally being on my own. It must be like a heavy weight has been lifted from your shoulders now that exsams are over! That's great that Laney is almost potty trained. I heard that girls are easier than boys. And it'll be so easy to have one potty trained instead of having two babies in diapers. Whenever I flush the toilet, Tyler says "Bye bye poopy." hahahah. But he's not showing signs..like, he won't tell me when he goes. But when I ask him "Did you go potty?" he'll say "Yeah." I'm buying him a potty seat in two days anyway. Maybe if I sit him on the seat, he'll be more confident.

journeyambrose - Wednesday, 7 May
I thought I was the only one. I was starting to think my baby was gonna be huge or something! And, sorry you're not feeling too good, hope you're feeling better tomorrow!

babiiluv - Tuesday, 6 May
She is SO adorable. I love her pig tails!!!!

babiiluv - Tuesday, 6 May
Wow..three years old already.. I can't believe it! The months fly by so fast!!!! Do you have a name picked out for the second girl? I'm doing great, just been really busy with the whole moving into an apartment and everything..but my pregnancy is going so smoothly. I eat way too much and I sleep every chance I get. The tired-ness is kicking in. How are you??

kar - Monday, 5 May
I totally agree with the distance thing, my in-laws are about 30 minutes away which is close enough, but too far for them to make an unannounced visit! My parents on the other hand are 2 min. away (which is great for me...I'm very close to them!), and I love it (not so sure about Frank, lol). But it's great, especially for babysitting.
I really like the name Molly, it's kind of old fashioned ( I really like Abigail and Clair too). There are so many pretty girl names, I think that it's more difficult to find a boys name (we're still sticking to Nicholas).
So you're almost done school, will you be taking time off for the summer? Would be great to have the time prior to the baby coming. Unfortunately I have to work (17 wks to go...but who's counting lol), but then I'll be off for a year, can't wait!! So what are you going to do about mat. leave with school and all. I hear that you don't get much time off in the States (that sucks!).
So how are you enjoying your pregnancy so far?

journeyambrose - Monday, 5 May
That actually happened to me too! It was pretty much the same thing, I sat on the couch and decided to lift my shirt when she started moving. It was so exciting.
