Let me start by telling you my background this is technically my 2nd pregnancy last year @ 25 years old and i got pregnant for the first time in august 06 at my almost 15 week checkup they could not find the baby's heartbeat, they tried with a doppler and then did 3 u/s and pronounced the baby dead, they said i was too far along to have a d&c preformed and that it would be better for me to be induced and deliver the baby. on Nov. 30th i gave birth to a baby boy about the size of my hand and i will never forget that day for as long as i live. id been walking around in a state of confusion and grief for months because they hadnt found out the reason why this had happened. first the autopsy came back normal, then the genetic testing done on the fetus came back normal, i was overcome with more grief knowing my baby was fine and now hes dead. so the next step was for me to get tested for blood clotting disorders, i got tested and waited for the results for 2 weeks. Turns out i had what they call PAI-1 4G/5G, which means one of my alleles was mutated from birth , which means i have a higher chance of developing clots and when im pregnant clots form in the placenta and stop blood flow from getting to the fetus so then it dies.

so now i have to be on a daily injection of blood thinners in order to try to keep this pregnancy going. needless to say im extemely nervous about this pregnancy and very anxious. we didnt plan on getting pregnant again this soon but now that i am im hoping and praying for my miracle baby.

I post a weekly vlog about my weightloss journey and now that im pregnant ill vlog about my pregnancy. check me out on youtube! http://youtube.com/profile?user=vlo1125

Yah, I'm not against the Vit. K and e-mycin. I think the ointment is gross and it would suck to have it put in your eyes, but whatever. The Vit. K is dumb to me too, but the Hep B is what I don't like, considering all of the things popping up with autism ect. I agree with you.

saraha - Tuesday, 3 June
It's called eurithramicin.
It's a topical ointment that they put in the babies eyes after birth to kill off bacteria that may have gotten on the babies eyes while coming through the vaginal canal. The Vitamin K shot and e-mycin is standard to every baby, but can be refused as well if you don't want it.

When you go into labor and you are signing all of the paperwork, like consent for OB Care, Consent for Anesthesia (if you're having any), Consent for this and that, you have to sign a consent form for your baby to have Hep B. It's totally optional, so if you don't want to have your baby vaccinated, then you just let them know and don't sign the paper. That's how it works here, and I'm sure it's the same everywhere. You're baby can just recieve the vaccination later in life with the pediatrician.

It sounds like your shower turned out really nice. Is the nursery ready? I don't recall if you had already gotten your furniture. Do all of your clothes span past the first three months? All mine were 0-3 which sucks, caue that is when they grow the most. Well don't do to much today with your nesting. Talk soon.

Thank god everthing was ok. Welcome to the world of pre term labor drama. Doc told me the next time i go in with pre term labor he is just gonna let me go, and not stop them. Are you super excited about your shower? I finally got the nursery finished. The only thing that I still need is the bedding set, but everything else is so cute. I will try and post some pics soon. Let me know how everything goes tommorow. Take care and get some rest tonight.

Thanks for the comment on the puking being a sign of pre-term labor. I am getting anxious these days that if anything is going on with me that doesn't seem normal I am wondering if it is a sign of pre-term labor. Take care and God bless!

at least at my last baby shower.. .it is amazing how many people dont know how, or refuse to use the registry

Boopy - Thursday, 29 May
Thanks for the video update! Reminded me of the 4 days I had to go through to try and keep my daughter inside of me (though she came out anyway)....along with a catheter, and numerous amounts of drugs that almost killed me. Oh, I would not wish that on anyone. In any case...glad everything is okay....

I wanna send my dad to the motorcycle races for fathers day up in Dallas, he's all into that stuff... Ive been doing pretty good, how about you? Sorry about your doctors office, for the profession they are in they can really be insensitive sometimes.. no wonder theres soo much pre and post partum depression

I got a 3d/4d ultrasound done, and I wouldn't take it back for anything in the world. I'm in Vegas and it cost $185 we got a 1 hr dvd plus got to see her for a whole hr...70 pictures...and the experience of it was AMAZING! We could tell that she had adorable fat cheeks like my husband when he was a baby and that she had my dad and little brothers nose...I loved every minute of it!

mdbabyno1 - Saturday, 24 May
I say if part of you wants to do the 4D ultrasound then do it! It is a once in a lifetime experience, once she is out there's no going back(although I'm sure you will be happy about that). I had the ultrasound done and I just think it is amazing what technology can do these days.

What a great a video, and you and your hubby could not be any cuter. Your video made me tear up, I just love watching my litle girl move, and it is getting so close to meeting her. 3 more weeks til my stitch is out, and hopefully she will be soon after. Have you decided when you will stop working? I can't until I have my stitch out, and I am exhausted by the end of the day. Brinnah is doing just great, but very excited to get here right now. I have regular contractions about twice an hour, sometimes they are really painful, but usually not to bad. Doc said they are true labor pains and if they get any closer I have to have another shot of terbutaline. Well I have to get my ass up and ready for work. Give Ophelia a big rub for me. Take care

buddysmom - Wednesday, 21 May
the woman on my hospital tour said taking a breastfeeding class before birth is like trying to teach someone to ride a bike without a bike. Its easier to learn after.
