Let me start by telling you my background this is technically my 2nd pregnancy last year @ 25 years old and i got pregnant for the first time in august 06 at my almost 15 week checkup they could not find the baby's heartbeat, they tried with a doppler and then did 3 u/s and pronounced the baby dead, they said i was too far along to have a d&c preformed and that it would be better for me to be induced and deliver the baby. on Nov. 30th i gave birth to a baby boy about the size of my hand and i will never forget that day for as long as i live. id been walking around in a state of confusion and grief for months because they hadnt found out the reason why this had happened. first the autopsy came back normal, then the genetic testing done on the fetus came back normal, i was overcome with more grief knowing my baby was fine and now hes dead. so the next step was for me to get tested for blood clotting disorders, i got tested and waited for the results for 2 weeks. Turns out i had what they call PAI-1 4G/5G, which means one of my alleles was mutated from birth , which means i have a higher chance of developing clots and when im pregnant clots form in the placenta and stop blood flow from getting to the fetus so then it dies.

so now i have to be on a daily injection of blood thinners in order to try to keep this pregnancy going. needless to say im extemely nervous about this pregnancy and very anxious. we didnt plan on getting pregnant again this soon but now that i am im hoping and praying for my miracle baby.

I post a weekly vlog about my weightloss journey and now that im pregnant ill vlog about my pregnancy. check me out on youtube! http://youtube.com/profile?user=vlo1125

teresa262 - Saturday, 17 May
Well my little girl tried to make an early arrival yesterday. I was feeling kinda cramp all day, but just thought must be growing pains. Got home from work and went to the bathroom and I had some slightly discolored discharge (just a little brown), and freaked out and made my husband take me to er. When i got there and they hooked me up my contractions were two minutes apart. Thank god I had my cerclage in because that was the only thing that was preventing my cervix from dialating. They gave me some terbutaline(sp?) and an iv drip for fluids and kept me on the contraction monitor for about 4 hours, then sent me home. They told me to come back the second i had another contraction. So needless to say I am really scared. One good thing is they did a fetal firbro nectis test to see if baby was gonna come soon. And they are 98% positive that I will not have her withing the next 1-2 weeks. Say a little prayer that she can just stay cookin for a few more weeks.

Hey! I havent been constipated that much but I have been having the cramps when I do need to go! Soon as I've had done a bowel movement it goes! So I put it down to needin the toilet too much in my stomach and with the baby getting bigger its all cramped in there! Get it checked out anyways but let me no either way, might be able ot help me too :-) x

littlemissi - Saturday, 17 May
Hey, it has been a few hours and I haven't seen any updates on your condition, so hopefully you got in to see the doctor. Let me know how you are doing.

teresa262 - Friday, 16 May
If you are still having the stomach pains with the weird bm's then I would go to the er. One of the first signs of preterm labor is loose stool with very bad pain. It might be your body's way of preparing for labor. I would say go just to be checked, and make sure you are not dialating. Keep me posted. We are just moving right along with these weeks. My crib and dresser are getting delivered tonight, and I can't wait to see them. Unfortunatly I have to wait until after the 28th to assemble them because that is when my carpet is getting put in the nursery. Well try and take care, and plese let me know how things go.

Hey. About you baby shower, my in laws are VERY ghetto. In fact, my mother in law told me about my baby shower when it was supposed to be a surprise! So, I know how you feel. Im hoping I don't get embarrassed either. But you know, you can't worry yourself about it. Its not fair to you. I know its hard, but try not to worry about it. Just go with the flow. Whatever happens is going to happen, ya know?
Good Luck!

You have to still have a good diet and exercise. I didnt lose the weight from breastfeeding, i had to go on a diet and exercise. It does help a bit though :)

HAPPY MOMMAS TO BE DAY. Did your hubby do anything for you? Mine got me a nice hanging plant, and one of those gigantic cards. It was really sweet and very unexpected. Hope you are having a great day. Talk soon.

teresa262 - Saturday, 10 May
So my baby shower is over. It turned out really nice, and my mother showed up. I got so many baby clothes. I would like to retun them to get more imprtant things that I did not get, but no gift reciepts. Well let me know how your shower goes. I will let you know when i post my pics.

buddysmom - Saturday, 10 May
I've had a lot of worries about people making it to my shower too! I already know of so many people that can't be there because they already have plans. My hubbies work is throwing us a shower but I am not sure what that turnout will be. They have had the invite and no one has bought anything off the registry yet. My main shower invites should arrive to people within a few days so I hope they start looking at my registry. I figure once something is bought I will stop checking on it so I can be suprised. I was really hurt at first that people couldn't make it but it is what it is. I don't want it to ruin my day. A lot of people who can't come will probably send a gift too. Let me know how yours go! I wish you the best!

My mother lives 40 miles from me, but only has a beater car to get her back and forth to work. She says that she does not trust her car to bring her to my side of town, so she has no way to get here. She has had a long time to get that together.

rhonnott - Friday, 9 May
I haven't heard that they do the non-stress tests when you start going once a week. I wouldn't complain though because I love being on the monitors and hearing his heartbeat the entire time and seeing how it goes up when he gets real active. I went to the hospital the other night because I was spotting for the first time this pregnancy and the Dr was already there and just told me to come in. I sorta got excited knowing they were going to hook me up to the monitors. Then finding out that the spotting wasn't anything to be concerned with, my husband and I just sat there and enjoyed the sound of our little man's heart!

teresa262 - Thursday, 8 May
I was just thinking about you. I have been fine. I have my baby shower this sat so I have been kinda high strung, and nervous. Little Briannah is getting so big. I am truly uncomfortable. Your belly is so cute, but those bruises look like hell. My hips look like that from my allergic reactions. I have like three inch long hard lumps under my skin that hopefully will go away after my shots stop. My doctor has extended my projected stitch removal. It was supposed to be June 14 the, now he said I am doing better than he expected I would and would like to prolong the removal by a couple of weeks. So I do not have a defo date but baby will be a lot better off staying in a while longer. The nursery still has not even been started. I have been waiting for my mother to come over and paint, but my granparents from overseas just bought a house here and have been taking up all her time. So I have to wait till she has time to paint, then I can have the carpet installed, and then I can put together the furniture and get the nursery ready. Hopefully she will not come before then. I am really getting anxious to me her though. Well enough about me. How have you been felling? Are you ready for your shower? How about the baby room. Take some pics when you are finished. I would love to see what it looks like. Do you have a theme? Did you start maternity? I am freaking out about leaving and not having income. I have to stay as long as possible, (like when my water breaks). But my job has been super accomidating for me, it's just that I am so exhausted by the end of the day, I can barely drive home. Tommorow I am treating myself to a monicure and a pedicure, like a two hour salon visit, and I cannot wait. Well sorry so long but it has been awhile since we spoke. Hope all is well with you. Let me know, take care

DianaBanana - Thursday, 8 May
Im going to be taking a infant emergency class too. i think it is a really important thing to do! I spoke to a lady that works at a first aid center and she said it was about 4 hours and well worth it! tell your man to go to! or anyone that will be spending a lot of time with the baby. All the best,

saraha - Tuesday, 6 May
My baby shower is on the same day, and I have alot of the same problems. My husbands side of the family is more than ghetto. They are hispanic, so the family is HUGE and he thinks his side is going to get butt-hurt if I don't invite everyone. Are you kidding me? I don't even know who half of those ppl are let alone to have them at my shower. All they are going to do is bring their whole nieghborhood so everyone can have free food. They do it ALL OF THE TIME! They don't even bring gifts. It's a total nightmare. I am just trying not to stress about it, but it's hard. Plus I don't want all of my work friends seeing those ppl thinking that I am associated with them you know? We will both be feeling the same stress the same day!

*littlemama* - Tuesday, 6 May
i don't think it's selfish of you at all. i woudnt want ghetto people at my baby shower either. as it is i have one really ghetto girl cousin and im even having a hard time inviting her :/ but it's only one so it's not so bad. you invite who you want. it's your baby shower. and not to sound mean but just because your mom is paying for it doesnt mean anything. shes doing it for YOU right? and didnt she offer to pay for it? dont let her try to get her way. you wont be able to enjoy your baby shower cause your gonna be so irritated and annoyed. you just do what you want!!!! :}

BabyBennett - Tuesday, 6 May
I just thought I'd let you know that I don't think you are being selfish about your baby shower. In my opinion the purpose of a baby shower is to celebrate YOU the mom and the new life that you are bringing into the world. You should be surrounded by people who love you and will be wiling to support you emotionally through this new period in your life. Some of the best advice I was given (for our wedding, but it's a similar situation) was that you should be able to look out into the room and be able to say that you love everyone there. I realize that with baby showers we don't really have that kind of control since we aren't the ones sending out the invites, but I still feel that the same principal should be involved. :)

anso - Friday, 2 May
yeah for the over-time! Well, I wish you did not have to do it (so do you I am sure) but I am glad you will get a little of what you need. Have a great week end!
