JUSTMOMMIES LABOR PREDICTION FOR Aaron Connor...Just about the time you think you can't handle hearing one more "when is that baby going to pop?", your baby will decide to make it's appearance. We predict your baby will be born 3-7 days before your due date. Your baby will most likely be born in the morning. Justmommies predicts that your baby will weigh approximately 7.8 pounds and that your labor will be about 7 hours long.

Well its been kinda a long time since I had much to talk to talk about on here but I do now. Thought I should share this experience for moms who might have similar encounter will know not to panic. Tuesday night I was having contractions at work, like I have been for some time now when I lost what I thought was a bit of my mucus plug. I had bright green clumpy stuff like yogurt in the toilet. The contractions were getting stronger and very distracting so I clocked out and took myself to the hospital to be sure. They admitted me around 12:30 am and hooked me up to the baby monitor. Dr. was sleeping and took her awhile to answer her pages from the ob staff. She finally answered around 4 am. Had an IV put in me, they said fluids might make the contractions stop. An hour later still had contractions. They told me to try and get some sleep. Haha impossible...The dr. arrived about 7:30 am did a culture looking for an enzyme that is present if labor is going to start. And she had them give me medicine to stop contractions...starts with T. 8:30 AM results came back negative but found out I have a yeast infection. I was Still having mild contractions. Which havent stopped completely yet. They told me gestational diabetes gives greater risk of yeast infections which can cause preterm contractions too. Got released from hospital 9am told to use monostat at home and guess what they took me out of work until delivery!!!!Yeah!!! Dr said they thought it was just alittle too early and really want to make sure he stays inside until at least 37 weeks. I am happy I get to stay home now and relax a bit and get ready for him to come. After useing monostat I slept the last 2 days-boy was that an ordeal. But contractions have subsided now Thank God Any body else have a scare like this? Sorry for the long winded story I just had to share. 4/17/08

Went into ob again. Contactions started about 4pm and continued every 15 minutes or less. But some severe enough to make me sweet. I walked, drank water, ate food, still contractions 2 hours later sothey say 8 an hour for 2 hours you should go in. So I went in. Hooked me up to monitors at around 9pm. CHecked for dialation. I was a 3. Want me to stay til 11pm and monitor, and called dr. At 11 pm a little more then 3 but still a 3. Gave me medicine for my back pain, and told me to settle infor the night. The dr. would be in in the morning and check my progress. Russ went to work. I layed there, waiting for something to happen. Uncomfortable, and feeling like a failure. I just knew they were going to send me home with no baby in the morning. Nurse checked my progress at 1am. Still 3. Then checked at 6am still 3. Russ came back around 8 am. and dr arrived. she debated and paced and wondered. Finally said "you could be here for days" were gonna send you home. She felt bad, but she said if I was a 4 she could do something, but it still alittle too soon in intervien. So I was released at 9 am. Actually a littler happy to get out of that hospital room and go home. This boy is definately a stubborn one! Tauruss are..... Might as well just be patient and enjoy my free time now.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

Awwww. Aaron is soooo adorable!

I am dying to hear how you juggled a job and five (now six) kids. I had assumed you were a stay at home mom--and still wondered how you did it! I have only had one child, and I have help from a nanny, and found it challenging with my career. How do you get them all bathed and fed and dressed and read to and their homework done. . . and on and on? And when do you have time for you? And for your hubby? You have really got to share your secret, because I am already so sad about having to go back to work and don't know how I will be there for them the way I want to be. I want to sit and nurse Baby Alexandria and stare into her eyes all day. I don't want to go back to work! :( I wish I could do it all--be there for my kids every second and still keep my career.

Are you nursing? If so, when do you introduce a bottle? I nursed my first, but I took too long to introduce the bottle and he never took one. Fortunately, I was able to stay home for six months and managed to coordinate his feedings when I did go back to work. This time, I can't afford to be out six months, so I'm going to have to learn to pump and bottle feed. I'm pretty nervous about that.

Yay! Congratulations! I'm so happy for you! Now if only there were a bouquet or something you could toss at me, so I can be next!

I have a question for u- did ur Dr say that a yeast infection could trigger continuous BH contractions? I read ur post under preterm labor-- was wondering... I started having them last night, called the Dr he said drink two full glasses of water kinda fast like then lay down and if they dont subside, call back.. They slowed down after that -- but i have been suspecting i may have a yeast infection due to being kinda itchy in the vaginal area, and taking antibiotics for a sinus infection.. Any thoughts here? I see my Dr tomorrow but dont wanna think its just the yeast infection doing it, seems sites online dont say for sure.. Hope ur L and D goes/went well.. Blessings to you and your little Bull!

I have heard several times that the amniotic fluid smells "sweet"...so whatever that means. LOL If it starts smelling like doughnuts you're golden! I sweat sooooo much at night my undies are always wet night and day...I change my undies like they are diapers these days!!

The strips are probably the same, since keytones show up in your urine as an acid, and standard litmus papers test for pH level (acid/base). But I'm not positive...call your pharmacist to be sure.

Hi there,

How are you feeling? I know all these ups and downs and false alarms are probably driving you nuts, but hang in there. Your stubborn bull will arrive when HE is good and ready!

About the fluids, I have that quite often and I don't know what it is, but I can tell it is not my water leaking because its been going on off and on for weeks. I kind of think it is pee that just doesn't smell since I shower twice a day and change my undies very often. I think pee only stinks if there is a lot of it or it sits for a while.

In any event, there is no harm in calling your doc to find out what he thinks. Maybe you are a 4 by now anyway.

I'm catching up! I went from 0 dialation and 0% effacement last week to 3 cms and 50% effacement this week. Woo hoo! Maybe we will have our babies at the same time! I'm just thrilled to finally see a visible sign that I truly am not going to be prego forever. . . I was starting to wonder. . .

The only way to know for sure it is your water and not you having bladder leakage is to test the inside your vagina with a litmus strip...the same kind that they use at the doctors office. You can pick them up at a medical supply store or over-the-counter at a large pharmacy. Amniotic fluid has a pH of 6.7 or higher, where as urine is more acidic (4 to 6). On the side of the litmus strip container they have a colour guide to compare results. If you do decide to do this, make sure you are as clean and dry as possible, that way you don't accidentally contaminate the test strip with urine. Short of that, the low tech way would be to insert a tampon (but not too far) and pull it out in a half hour or so and see how wet it is...if its wet and not mostly dry, then your water probably broke! Hope this helps.
