Thursday, 5 June I am from Wales too (Llantrisant) and we get induced 10 days after our due date. Hope this helps xx momo -
Thursday, 5 June Do you have any idea how they do the bishop score or what makes someone more favorable than not? I'm guessing being dilated helps, but is there anything else? I'm scared my induction will turn into a c-section since at last check-up I've made no progress. alex76 -
Thursday, 5 June Hi I'm in Scotland, my first pregnancy they wanted to induce me at 14 days over but I kicked off big style and got them down to 10. I regret it though as induction is hard when you've not progressed and I ended up with a section, now I wished I'd hung on. This time I went at just under 37 weeks. I watched a Jimmy Carr DVD and laughed so hard my stomach was killing me, the next day my waters broke! sarahjk -

Thursday, 5 June hello, just to let you know that there are new guidelines for induction and they let you go 12 days over. sorry. i just had my babe and my waters broke one day and she didn't come till 2 days later via induction so it goes to show their not keen on induction in the uk. catesgirlz -
Thursday, 5 June Good luck! Hope it works for you x mklouise -
Thursday, 5 June hi vicky! how r u? i read ur post and u said your over due. tell ur doc u wnt to have ur baby asap. it's risky for the baby to be over due because he might have meconium stain. i'm sure u know this b/c ur a nurse. so u better have get induced or have a cs. it's too risky for ur baby to be in your tummy too long. :( raynbowmami -
Thursday, 5 June YOu need to move. LOL J/K I explained to my doc that I can't take it after this week. But I am going to try to wait on my sis to get here if possible. happy.e -
Wednesday, 4 June Hi I'm from Northern Ireland ... I think its just down to your hospital how long they let you go over your due date .... With my 1st it was 2weeks ... this is my 2nd at the same hospital and it is now 10 days .... Just moan at them lol thats what I've done so there going to do a membrane sweep next week for me ... Have you had your 40 week check up yet ? Normal they tell you then when they will bring you in .... All the best of luck and I hope you go on your own very soon or at least get brought in soon :) rozzipozzi -
Wednesday, 4 June Hey, im from scotland and i know if your having a healthy pregnancy and baby is happy they will leave you 2 weeks over your due date before they do anything! If you are finding it really tough just make an appointment and ask them to check you. if your cervix is favourable then im sure they will do something to try and start things! Good luck!! x catesgirlz -
Wednesday, 4 June Ask your midwife - if you ask they ill at least give you a sweep. I am going on Monday and will ask for one - that is my due date. They don't offer it - you have to request it!!! raynbowmami -
Wednesday, 4 June Well that worked for me. I broke down and my doc gave in. But I'm going to try and wait on my sister to get here on the 13th. I'm not due until the 15th so well see. I know I don't want to go past the 21st. I don't know what else to tell you. If he's not feeling it.
My neice told them her dad was headed back to Iraq because they were going to make her wait another week. She had a 9 lb girl. Could you imagine carrying that an extra week? Yikes!!! socalgal -
Wednesday, 21 May Those scans just provide estimates (more like guesstimates). My doctor said they have a margin of error of plus or minus a pound, but I have lots of friends who were told weights that were off by 2 or more lbs! So the bottom line is, you should not worry about it. They will probably look to make sure your placenta looks good and they can also analyze how well your umbilical cord is functioning. If all that looks normal, then don't stress about the weights. Good Luck! MAGGIEMAE -
Wednesday, 21 May I was told that I am measuring 2 weeks behind too so they did an ultrasound and he is in the 40th percentile. Doc said that is fine but they are still inducing me at 38 weeks on May 27th to be on safe side. I'm sure your little one is fine. We are just having small babies. :) NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
