My husband is in the Air Force and we are stationed in Oklahoma. We have been blessed with six beautiful children ages 13 to 1.
My first pregnancy was not too bad, other than the fact that my DH was gone, made it to the birth, and hopped on a plane two hours later.
I got pregnant with #2 when DS was 6 months old and had a pretty smooth pregnancy. I nursed DS the whole time I was pregnant, walked every day and did water aerobics until I went into preterm labor at 28 weeks. The bed rest and medicine kept him in until the end, and it was my quickest labor.
When DS #2 was 6 months old we got pregnant with #3. I was nursing both boys and DH was deployed . All was good until 12 weeks when I started bleeding heavily at Wal-Mart. I went to the Dr. and she said I would m/c over the weekend. They sent DH home immediately and Monday they searched for 15 minutes and never found a h/b. Dr. said before the D&C they would do an u/s, and that's where they found a h/b. They said I would still lose the baby due to placenta abruption, but they were wrong. I was monitored every week and on bed rest the whole time, quit nursing the boys and was a constant worry wart. U/s predicted she was 3 lbs due to IUGR and I gave birth at 36 weeks to a 5lb 8oz little miracle.
DH had a vasectomy after my nightmare pregnancy #3 because he couldn't go through that again, and we thought we were done.
A couple of years later I began to feel the urge to have more children and we went back and forth on what to do. I led a Bible study called "Believing God", and I believed God would give me more children, specifically the twins that I dreamed about at age 17. DH prayed and felt that we needed to do something. He went on the waiting list for reversal surgery and had the reversal August 22, 2007. We waited a month before BD, and the second month I was pregnant. I got a BFP November 23, 2007. I began bleeding at 5 weeks and at 6 weeks they found twins.
I had a horrible pregnancy!!!!!! I threw up everything for 18 weeks, was hospitalized at 13 weeks, 16 weeks, 24 weeks, and 28 weeks. I finally gave birth June 26, 2008 at 34 weeks, and they were in the NICU for a couple of long horrible weeks.
On May 30, 2009 I got a BFP. I never felt very pregnant and had a feeling that I would m/c. On July 3rd I started bleeding and we went straight to the E.R. The Dr. said my cervix was closed and everything looked good. After the u/s he informed me that the baby had died. On July 5th I officially lost my baby at 8 weeks 5 days.
July 31st I got a BFP and thought it was leftover hormones from the m/c. After numerous blood draws and ultrasounds I found out that I was indeed pregnant again. The Dr. was shocked!!! We conceived two weeks after the m/c!!!
Baby #6 was due April 12th...and was born March 22nd due to the fact that I had gestational diabetes, and he stopped growing. He weighed 6 lbs, and is my little man. DH was deployed and the Dr. contacted the Red Cross and got him home just in time for the delivery...praise God!!
I'm now pregnant with baby #7, and due June 21st. It's been 12 years since I went full term with a baby, so I'm not sure if I'll make it that far...but by next June I will have another little blessing.
