She's here! She arrived at 5:02 pm and she weighed in at 7lbs. 8ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long! The entire labor lasted 10 1/2 hours and the actual pushing lasted about an hour... It was an overall pretty good birth experience and I'm so happy to finally have her here! Motherhood is hard but I would'nt trade her in for the world! Well hello ladies my name is Cathy and I just thought I write a little about myself! I'm 19yrs old and I just moved to Ohio from Florida a couple of days ago with my boyfriend Josh and we're just patiently waiting the arrival of our first little girl in November! I'm honestly ready to meet the little girl that's been kicking me for some time now but I still have a little while to go... She definitely came as a surprise but I'm am very happy that it happened! I would'nt change a thing if I could. Anyway, CONGRATS to all the soon to be mommies!!!

When did you find out?:In April...
Were did you find out?: At home and then it was confirmed at the doctor
How far along were you?: almost 2 months!
What was your reaction?: I kinda knew because of my absent period but I was still in shock! Who was the first person you told?: Everyone who was in my living room including Josh.
How did you tell the father?: I gave him the pregnancy test so he could see it himself!
What was his reaction?: he was freaking out!
All about your pregnancy
When is your due date?: Nov 8, 2008
Did you have any morning sickness?: Oh yeah! In the beginning all the time!
What are your fears?: My low lying placenta causing problems...
What are you most happy about?: My little girl being sooo active. That means she's very healthy!
Did you want a boy or girl?:I wanted a boy but God blessed me with a healthy little girl... What did the father want boy or girl?: He wanted a boy but he's happy she's a girl now!
Do you know what your having?:Yep a little princess! Do you have a name picked out?: Yes. Cadence Marie.
How much weight have you gained?: Oh crap so I have to answer? Okay about 30 pounds. Yikes! Have you felt the baby move?: Yeah all the time since about 18wks.
When you have the baby
Are you keeping the baby?:Of course. Do you plan on a natural or medicated birth?:Natural for as long as I can stand it and then IF I need it I'll get an Epidural.
Are you scared about labor?: Yeah it's sooo close...
What do you think will be the worst part of labor?: The pain but I just want to have her in my arms already! Have you taken any classes?: No, I moved out of state and missed the date for my class. Where I live now all the classes are full:(
Who will be in the delivery room?:My boyfriend and his mom.
Are you having the birth videotaped?: Yep.
Do you think you will cry when you see the baby for the first time?:Oh of course! What do you think the fathers reaction to the baby will be?:He'll be sooo happy to finally meet her.
How do you think family and friends will feel?:Super Happy.
What she senses for you After a labor lasting approximately 14 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 8 pounds, 14 ounces, and will be 18-1/2 inches long. This child will have light brown eyes and be completely bald. But there is more. I sense that you wonder if you will have a difficult time during labor and birth. Why don't you go listen to an actual birth? It may give you some encouragement! |
