Hello Ladies, Congratulations,
and Happy New Year.
After enduring the heartbreak associated with experiencing 3 miscarriages, my husband and I are extremely happy to be off to 19 weeks tomorrow with our first child! As an added bonus, on Friday we found out that
. Now the name search begins....

Oh how the time is flying! It seems like I just found out and now I am halfway there. I am feeling really great. My girl is an active babe! It’s great to feel her move. Her name is
.
Her thumps are becoming a bit stronger, but I am not complaining at all.
So far, I’ve gained 8 lbs and other than a little bump and a bigger rump I think I look pretty much the same.
Last night was, by far, the hardest sleeping night. I cannot seem to find a comfy spot in my bed anymore. My trips to the bathroom do not help either because when I come back to bed the tossing and turning does not end!

22 weeks
I am 22 weeks today......Hippppeeeeeee! Last night my husband was finally able to feel the baby move....That was great! We've started to make preparations for the arrival of the baby. Clearing out things that we have not used in a while and buying new stuff... This is such an exciting time in my life. At 42, I still pinch myself because I never thought that I was ever going to get past 8 weeks...(all three of my other pregnancies ended then) Each morning and night I thank God for this miracle that's growing inside of me....she is such a blessing! I am so enjoying being pregnant.

17 weeks to go before our bundle of joy is expected to make her appearance into this world! At times I consider Gabrielle as my little acrobat because sometimes I feel thumps below and above my belly button at the same time. I must say that she is a really good kicker!
Another observation- at nights after I have had a warm mug of milk and go to bed, she is extremely active.
I now have a very hearty appetite, but I still make sure to have healthy choices to fill up on. Having a good supply of fruits and vegetables, fish, chicken etc. Haven't had any sweets since I've been pregnant and haven't missed them....
I have very sensitive skin and as a rule I always use fragrance free lotions. But since I found out I was pregnant, I have been using Palmers Cocoa Butter. A few nights ago my abdomen became rather itchy and then a rash appeared. I have since stop using it and the rash has cleared up. Thank God...

24weeks 2days
I did my Glucose Challenge Test today and like every pregnant woman I am praying for normal results.
The baby is very active and I am enjoying her every move. My cousin remarked that in a few weeks I will stop saying how much I am enjoying these movements. What I know for sure is that I have been waiting for years to carry a child, so I find it pretty difficult envision myself complaining about any aspect associated with this pregnancy. Hey, this is completely new to me, so I guess I will have to wait and see.
25 Weeks
The weeks are just going by. Other than baby's movement and a growing abdomen nothing much more seems to be happening. In a few days I go to pick up some of the essentials that I like for the baby. My shower is scheduled for April, so I am hoping that I will not to go crazy when I go the store.
With all the talk in the news about phthalates in lotions, shampoos and powders and Bisphenol-A in baby bottles I have been spending a lot of time researching products which are phthalate-free and bottles which do not contain BPA.
26 Weeks
Had an appointment today and everything is going well. The results from my glucose challenge test were normal and I am happy about that.

WOW, the time is flying!....Twenty eight weeks and counting down. As usual, my girl is very active. Her movements have gone from thumps to my entire belly moving or one area sticking out. I sit and watch her movements and each time she does I smile..It is incredible! And I must add that I am finding the entire process to be very cool.
I found some great bargains for when Gabi is a bit older and I could not resist getting them. To be honest, there is so much baby girl clothing available in the stores that I have to be careful not to overdo it.
My shower is scheduled for April 12th and I just can't wait to get together with my friends and family to celebrate our daughter.
My next dr's appointment is scheduled for March 4th....
37 Weeks
I have not updated my page for a long time so here goes... I have gained 25lbs, have been feeling well and my girl is doing well. I had a doctor's appointment on Saturday and Gabrielle is measuring about 6 lbs 11 ozs and had a heartrate of 138 bpm.
There are no changes in my cervix as yet and my doctor says that if by the 39th week he has not seen any signs of me getting ready for labor, I'll be induced. I cannot wait to meet my girl, but if he did not make that decision, I could wait. I have waited a long time for this, so what difference does a few more days make?
I got the results for my Strep B and I tested negative. I have done most of her laundry, my bag is packed and I am just waiting on nature or the 39th week.(which ever comes first)
Up until Friday night I was unable to sleep through the night, but I am happy to say that since Saturday I've been sleeping like a baby!! and it feels so good not to be waking up at 3am.
My next appointment is May 2nd..

My appointment went well. Had my first internal and boy did it hurt. I am scheduled to have my baby by c-section on May 12th.
Awww...she's beautiful. You must feel very proud.
Happy Birthday little one...xxx
