pregnancy calendar

October 6, 2008

I had my first ultrasound today to make sure that my cramping wasn't a symptom of an ectopic pregnancy. The sac is located in the uterus, but since it's very early we couldn't see a heart beat yet. Within the week our baby's heart beat should be visible with another ultrasound. Since my doctor was on call all weekend he was off today, so I'm sure I will get a phone call tomorrow with what to expect next. He may just have me stop in to check my HCG levels, to see if they've doubled from last week, or he may want to set up follow up ultrasound. It was very assuring to me that the pregnancy is in the uterus! I don't have to worry about that now.

October 2, 2008

I had my first initial doctor’s appointment yesterday and things went well. My doctor is a little concerned with the cramping that I've been having so he has scheduled an ultrasound for Monday the 6th to make sure that I don't have an ectopic pregnancy. He said that everyone is different when it comes to symptoms of pregnancy, so this could just very well be how I will react. The other concern my doctor has is what form of delivery I will be able/unable to do. Since I have a small brain aneurysm my doctor has mentioned doing a c-section at 37 weeks. He doesn't want to chance the possibility of it rupturing during labor. I really like my doctor and trust his opinion. I have an appointment with my neurologist this afternoon and I’m sure we will discuss my options.

My doctor estimates that I am currently 4 weeks 6 days pregnant as of today. Once an ultrasound is preformed we will have a little better idea. At this point our little bean is very small. As early as this week, the plate that will become the heart has developed. Our baby's brain, spinal cord, muscles, and bone formation are also beginning to form. The baby's skeleton is forming at this time as well.

I have been feeling ok. I have my moments where I think I’m going to have morning sickness and then it passes. At this point my main complaint is the cramps that come and go throughout the day.

September 29, 2008

I'm very excited today as Friday I confirmed with my Dr that indeed we are PREGNANT. That sure explaines the two weeks of cramps, sore bb's and yucky stomach each morning. Kevin and I were at my girlfriends wedding this weekend and it was just too hard not to share our excitment with all of our friends. I really thought this day wouldn't come as we had been trying for a while, but I believe that god has a plan for all of us and everything that happens to us is meant to be.

I'll have my initial appoinment this week on Wednesday. I'm very excited.

September 25th 2008.

So I couldn't wait till tomorrow to test, so right when I got up this morning I took a hpt, and didn't read the results till after I got out of the shower. To my delight it was a BFP!!! I couldn't believe it! I've been so used to seeing NOT PREGO and now it said PREGNANT! My husband was still asleep so I rushed in and said "honey, honey, I need to turn on the light, then I placed the test in front of him and he said he couldn't read it because of the bright lights.hehehe. Funny. I told him he was going to be a daddy and it finally sank in! I have an appointment tomorrow to confirm with some lab work. I'm super excited.

jazzy18 - Wednesday, 8 October
you know - i haven't felt any bad symptoms [knocking on wood]. i'm happy that i haven't....but than i'm hoping the baby is ok! not all women experience bad symptoms. I am free from nausea and vomiting. Thank GOD!!!!!
I am sorry that you're going thru all that. I can't imagine going thru that while working. ugghhh! my ex co worker couldn't hold a thing either. she actually lost close to 20 lbs the first 2mos of pregnancy. she couldn't hold the prenatal vitamin in her system either. i felt bad for her but what can you do?
I'm scheduled for my next appt on monday so, i'm staying positive and hoping that all is well with my baby. let me know how it goes with the ginger tea though. Good luck!

I will go for my check up until monday. I don't know if i'll be able to hear a heartbeat either. as a matter of fact, i dont even know what they will do. so, maybe its better. i can't wait though. :)

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Hey ladies:
I haven't been on here much just for the simple fact that i'm busy these days..
I am still taking classes online for medical coding and billing.. My last semester will be the fall of '09 and I graduate Jan '10. I am going full time so that means more classes. Only 12 credits tho but it's enough when I have two babies to take care of that are up ALL day lol. I also got my old job back at Walmart working overnight (10-630)Friday and Saturdays.. Tonight is my first night back in 4 freakin months!! I'M EXTREMELY EXCITED but def will be super crabby in the morning. I've been up since 8 this morning.. Well I went to bed at 10pm last night got up at 3am and got a bath! Geez early bath lol. Then got up at 530 to get my hubby's coffee made for work.. Then back to bed till 8 and I won't hit the bed till 7 in the morning tomorrow! So just wish me some luck lol. I will be in charge of the kids tomorrow kuz hubby and his dad have to get our furnace in and piping so that we have heat. It's been about 35 degrees at night and we have NO heat! It sucks but I have the kids in our room with a heater that plugs in and blows hot air. Our room is HOT in like 2 hours lol.. Anyways.. Thought i'd update you guys since I really don't have anytime to myself these days!! =] I am still nursing my little princess and will not pump while at work kuz he doesn't eat during them hours at night anyhow.. So it works out just PERFECT! I know I will leak a bit tho but w/e..

How are you ladies doing btw?

hey - i'm glad all went well. I hope those crampings stop. I only had them last sunday and of course since i spotted shortly afterwards, i was scared so now i'm hoping not to get any more cramping b/c it's going to make me think that i will be spotting which will mean that i'm at risk for a m/c. . Anyhow - good luck on your u/s on the 6th. keep me posted. In the meantime, stay positive and this is a nice way to start enjoying your weekend.... *blessings*

aman-jay - Thursday, 2 October
