Apparently, we have a lazy baby girl. She hates the morning. We had our 2nd ultrasound today to get a 2nd view of the heart because we couldn't get a good one during the 1st ultrasound. We only got to see the left side. We tried for the right but she was in an odd position and all we could see was the shadow of the spine. My doctor wasn't too concerned since I go for a fetal echocardiogram next week.

I was able to FINALLY feel strong kicks while laying in bed watching Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood. I have always felt slight flutters when her daddy would be playing his hip hop songs. Now that I felt strong flutters during Snoop Dogg, I believe she is going to love her daddy's music.

I forgot to update my fetal echo. Everything is normal. I go back to my OB on the 14th for him to review and discuss the test. After that appointment is when I go back for my last 4 week check up. He said he would start to measure my fundal height (I think thats what its called). Then the 2 week appointments start. Time is really flying by. I cannot believe I am 23 weeks 2 days. It seems like yesterday, I was scared to death to show Jeff my BFP. This baby was planned but not this early.

This baby is a blessing to me and my entire family. We feel she couldn't have come at a better time. With the death of my grandfather and the health issues of my stepfather, this little girl is going to help alleviate the pain and stress this family has endured over the past year.

If we can only come up with a name. Four months is going to go by really fast.

I had a 3rd ultrasound yesterday. My doctor measured my tummy and uterus and he said I was measuring big and he wanted to check the size of the baby. Luckily, she was measuring right on schedule, 1lb. 3 oz. I go back to my doctor June 17th for another size check and prenatal appointment. I reach viability tomorrow!!! WOOHOO 24 WEEKS!!!

My doctors appointment on the 17th was very eventful. Because someone was late picking me up, I was late. I was pushed back to the very end. I spent 2 hours waiting to see the doctor. I had a growth ultrasound and she weighs a little over 3 pounds. We also talked about my next appointments. I meet the 2nd on call doctor on July 2nd and starting the 8th I begin my weekly sonograms and non stress tests until she is born.

WOW!!!! I cannot believe I have hit the 30 week mark. In 10 weeks or less, my life will change. It will no longer being just the two of us. We will have a 3rd person to be responsible for 24 hours a day for the 18 years or so. I haven't decided if I am more scared of birth or being a mother and knowing every decision I make will effect another life. I know how to take care of kids. I have been doing it for 10 years. It's different when you cannot give them back at the end of the day.
