Hi, my name is Amy and I've been married to the Love of My Life, Bryce, for about 9 years now. It was love at first sight, literally. The first time we ever saw each other, his then girlfriend was standing next to him. He sent her home and we've been inseparable ever since. We actually met and got married all within 4 months. Marrying him has been the best decision I have ever made. We already have 3 little boys, hence, we are the Wildbunch. This pregnancy was a bit of a shock to us. When I first found out, I spent the whole day crying. When my hubby got home from work, he asked me who died. I showed him the positive test and he started laughing. (He has always wanted more kids than me.) This really is a very joyous and happy occasion for us, I think I was just very hormonal and the thought of 4 kids age 5 and under is just very overwhelming to me. So now, here at week 11, I'm getting use to the thought of adding another child to our family and I'm starting to get excited.
I believe every life is precious and is a gift from God. I believe I was meant to have this 4th child and I already love him or her so much. I know what it feels like to think that you'll never be able to have a child of your own. We actually couldn't get pregnant on our own with our first son and after a couple years of trying, turned to fertility drugs. After a few months on those and a shot in the hip, we were able to conceive our son. We assumed we'd need medical intervention for every pregnancy but haven't needed it since. I nurse all my babies for 12 months or more and pretty much the moment I stop nursing, I get pregnant again. I always wanted 4 or 5 kids so I guess we're on track. I just didn't think it would all happen this quickly. However, I have to say that I think we'll be done after baby #4. My husband always wanted a big family with 9 boys and maybe 1 girl. (He is terrified to raise a girl.) God must know what my husband can and can't handle cause He has blessed us with the 3 boys so far. Every time we add another baby to the family, he agrees that 4 kids sounds good and he'll probably be done wanting any more kids. Whew!!
So here we are, on our last journey through pregnancy and childbirth and it's very bittersweet for me. I have loved being pregnant with my 3 boys and have had super easy and wonderful deliveries and it's kind of sad to think this will be the last time I get to experience this. On the other hand, I'm excited to get my body back once and for all and to get back into doing the activities I've enjoyed before getting pregnant or nursing, which I've been preggo or nursing non-stop for the past 5 years.
Could you be any cuter? You are precious, I wished I looked this good when I wasn't pregnant. You have a beautiful family.
xxx ooo,
