My profile

I was 26 when I got married. That same summer my cycles became very irregular and we thought I might have been pregnant, which would have been a surprise! As it turned out, I wasn't pregnant, but that period of waiting to find out encouraged us to "get started" on the journey we originally thought we'd wait a few years to begin.

After 15 months of real trying, and a visit to a fertility specialist, we started the fertility testing, and voila! I was pregnant with out any serious fertility intervention. That was a complicated pregnancy because of placenta previa, but everything worked out fine in the end and I am the proud mother of an amazing little boy!

I have been wanting to add to our family for years, but my husband hasn't been ready until now... Here we go again! (I hope!)

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Oh I agree whole heartedly. I think about what a bear that first pregnancy was in every way, and how much more pleasant this one has been. I can't help thinking things will be much different when it comes to delivery as well. I am being monitored for fetal growth b/c the umbilical cord is inserted sort of askew into the placenta. There's a "theoretical risk" of growth problems that could lead to an early induction. Even so, there are no worries. It's great that they're being proactive. In the mean time, my midwifery group is very low key and wouldn't call for an induction unless absolutely critical to our health. It feels good to be in trusted hands.
