A little background
I have two beautiful girls, Krysta 10 and Mollie 3, my husband and I found out we were pregnant sometime in October 2007 and we had a m/c in December our world was shaken but my faith was not. We found out in the beginning of Feb 2008 that we were expecting again and our world was worried and not sure what was going to happen. We are delighted to say we are now in our 13th week and all is going well so far. I did an intelligender test on the 9th March and it said we were having a girl but we will see I will feel better with an u/s confirmation.
I have had the first ultra sound which put us at 8 weeks and 5 days just 3 days behind where I thought I was. I have my next appointment with the midwife on the 23rd April 2008, and then my 20 week scan and then we have booked a private 4D scan in July and am really looking forward to everything. I am easy going and slow at getting more photos up and the time aspect also takes over there lol. I wish all of you ***BABYDUST*** who are trying and ***STICKYDUST*** to those who are pregnant and I wish you all the happiness in the world xoxox

How`s my pregnancy doing?

woke up in a very thoughtful mood today, my man has been cheating no suprise there the guys a born bastard! but there comes a time when u have to look at your situation and ask if a nice lifestyle and stuff is worth all the stress and humiliation and sleepless nights? answer no its not !! ive got that used to bein around him living in his house working for him ect that it just seems like the big wide world is a scary place at the minute! my friends are determined that i leave him this time as his latest fling has been goin on for over 14 months yeah long time considerin how we ttc'd for over a year at his suggestion ????? so feeling pretty low and shitty today and hoping for sum divine intervention lol??

Thank you for your reply, I felt something last night, only very very slight though so can't be too sure if it was gas. I am going to keep an eye on it over the next few days and if there is no change ill call MW. But thank you again, i am so glad i found this website. xx

I agree with you on a couple of points. Firstly, yes I agree, maternity clothes are expensive and I don't like spending a lot either since I won't get to wear them again after (not planning on having any more children after this one). Secondly, I live in a small town and it is totally useless for maternity wear. In fact, i don't think any of the shops not even next, dp etc do maternity clothes as they aren't big stores in my area. I tend to buy mine on the internet as i can send them back if i don't like them. I am a size 16 normally and agree that we are more limited. I have bought a couple of skirts from simply be which look nice on and are elasticated waste. They aren't maternity but will fit throughout the whole pregnancy. It is definitely hard as i do feel kind of frumpy most of the time. And i still have a long way to go!...... - I think your shop would really take off. Good luck! -x

MelisaK - Sunday, 6 July
I had some heartburn but it hasn't been that bad this time. It was horrible with both boys. A trick I learned is to drink a full glass of milk before you lay down or if it is really bothering you.
I would love to have sex to get labor started but I am like you...it is way too uncomfortable. I have contractions on and off but nothing consistent...I wish they were!!! Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain too much...it won't be long now.

thunders79 - Sunday, 6 July
Why are you struggling with maternity stuff then? is it too big?

marlenac - Sunday, 6 July

Spike - Sunday, 6 July

beks1978 - Sunday, 6 July
hi,went swimming yesterday we got wet through before we even got there but i guess it was part of the fun lol....kids loved it and i think baby did too coz it did nothing but kick...

i would hate working weekends aswell, and i hate it when my partner aint here i miss him terribly but i guess these things have to be done.xx

thunders79 - Sunday, 6 July
Thanks for your reply. Yes clothes are a bit of a nightmare. I have a few pairs of maternity trousers from next but have to wear a belt with them otherwise they fall down! - I bought a 'normal' pair of trousers from Dorothy Perkins last week and just bought them two sizes bigger! - they look better on then the maternity stuff.

MelisaK - Sunday, 6 July
Hey, haven't talked to you in a while. I hope you are feeling ok. I am soooo ready to have this little girl! I have permanent dark circles under my eyes due to lack of sleep. My back is under a lot of stress so it is always achey and I feel like I am a complete B@&ch! Oh the joys of the last month!!! I am getting ready to go take some tylenol and lay down. Not counting on any comfort...just maybe dozing off an hour or so here and there. I hope your pregnancy is not causing you too much discomfort at this point. I cannot wait till we have our little ones in our arms!!!

Joy-S - Sunday, 6 July
Oh yeah, I totally understand the heartburn. It's miserable....tums can only do so much. I haven't been sleeping well either. Hopefully that'll change soon.....although I doubt it.

I'm doing great!! I love feeling him kick and roll around! It's so amazing watching his movements from the outside!!

No major plans for the weekend. Hubby worked today and works tomorrow. I volunteer for my Church's kids connection tomorrow and then I'm hosting a lunch for the new people that joined our church. So, I'm busy but not relaxing!!

Have a great weekend!! I'll talk to you soon!!!

Spike - Sunday, 6 July
just noticed your comment on "insane presure" it is very unsafe to take nurofen during pregnancy especialy from weeks 24 through to term. the iburoprophene in it will close over the fifth valve of the babys heart too early, this is a big problem if it happens before the birth. just for future reference the only thing safe for use in pregnancy is panadol (otherwise known as paracetamol or tylanol, they are all the same drug just different names) asprin is also not safe as it causes bleeding.

taniar82 - Sunday, 6 July
hi just read your wall post about heartburn, i was getting the same and no amount of gaviscon was helping. I went to my doc on friday and he has given me Omeprazole. you take one a day and they are fantastic. people with stomach ulcers take them and they are perfectly safe to take whilst pregnant. Hope this helps x

Joy-S - Saturday, 5 July
Hello dear!! How are you feeling?!? Have you had your 3D ultrasound yet?!? I hope you're well. Have a great weekend!

coltonsmom - Saturday, 5 July
Well, if a charlie horse is a cramp, what do you call the pains in your belly when you're getting your period?? :) "Menstral horses?" hahaha.. (get it? menstral cramps).... I know, I'm not as funny as I try to be. LOL

My husband and I had a miscarriage just before our son was born last year (read your page, know exactly how you felt)... and we're due with our baby (#3 for me, #2 for my husband) on the 8th of Oct., very close to your due date.

Will be thinking of you, stay in touch and here's to hoping those crazy cramps go away VERY soon!! ~ Cindy

thunders79 - Saturday, 5 July
Yes I am also from the UK. This is my second baby but my son is now 6 so you do forget everything. I don't think it is fair that we don't get to see a midwife that much. Every pregnancy is different and whether it is your first or sixth pregnancy, we all have our concerns. Thanks for replying to my message.Enjoy your pregnancy x
