Sunday, 6 July Thanks for your reply. Yes clothes are a bit of a nightmare. I have a few pairs of maternity trousers from next but have to wear a belt with them otherwise they fall down! - I bought a 'normal' pair of trousers from Dorothy Perkins last week and just bought them two sizes bigger! - they look better on then the maternity stuff. Sunday, 6 July Hey, haven't talked to you in a while. I hope you are feeling ok. I am soooo ready to have this little girl! I have permanent dark circles under my eyes due to lack of sleep. My back is under a lot of stress so it is always achey and I feel like I am a complete B@&ch! Oh the joys of the last month!!! I am getting ready to go take some tylenol and lay down. Not counting on any comfort...just maybe dozing off an hour or so here and there. I hope your pregnancy is not causing you too much discomfort at this point. I cannot wait till we have our little ones in our arms!!! Joy-S -
Sunday, 6 July Oh yeah, I totally understand the heartburn. It's miserable....tums can only do so much. I haven't been sleeping well either. Hopefully that'll change soon.....although I doubt it.
I'm doing great!! I love feeling him kick and roll around! It's so amazing watching his movements from the outside!!
No major plans for the weekend. Hubby worked today and works tomorrow. I volunteer for my Church's kids connection tomorrow and then I'm hosting a lunch for the new people that joined our church. So, I'm busy but not relaxing!!
Have a great weekend!! I'll talk to you soon!!! Spike -
Sunday, 6 July just noticed your comment on "insane presure" it is very unsafe to take nurofen during pregnancy especialy from weeks 24 through to term. the iburoprophene in it will close over the fifth valve of the babys heart too early, this is a big problem if it happens before the birth. just for future reference the only thing safe for use in pregnancy is panadol (otherwise known as paracetamol or tylanol, they are all the same drug just different names) asprin is also not safe as it causes bleeding. taniar82 -
Sunday, 6 July hi just read your wall post about heartburn, i was getting the same and no amount of gaviscon was helping. I went to my doc on friday and he has given me Omeprazole. you take one a day and they are fantastic. people with stomach ulcers take them and they are perfectly safe to take whilst pregnant. Hope this helps x Joy-S -
Saturday, 5 July Hello dear!! How are you feeling?!? Have you had your 3D ultrasound yet?!? I hope you're well. Have a great weekend! coltonsmom -
Saturday, 5 July Well, if a charlie horse is a cramp, what do you call the pains in your belly when you're getting your period?? :) "Menstral horses?" hahaha.. (get it? menstral cramps).... I know, I'm not as funny as I try to be. LOL
My husband and I had a miscarriage just before our son was born last year (read your page, know exactly how you felt)... and we're due with our baby (#3 for me, #2 for my husband) on the 8th of Oct., very close to your due date.
Will be thinking of you, stay in touch and here's to hoping those crazy cramps go away VERY soon!! ~ Cindy thunders79 -
Saturday, 5 July Yes I am also from the UK. This is my second baby but my son is now 6 so you do forget everything. I don't think it is fair that we don't get to see a midwife that much. Every pregnancy is different and whether it is your first or sixth pregnancy, we all have our concerns. Thanks for replying to my message.Enjoy your pregnancy x xxlollyxx -

Wednesday, 2 July WOW, you have an awesome page!! I love the lay out you gave it. If only I were half as talented. hahaaha... anyway, I read your blurb about charlie horses... and TRUST ME, you'll know when you get one. :) For the strangest reason, I've been getting them in my big toes at least once a day. All of a sudden, my toe moves in a weird position and everything tightens up and causes a pain up my leg that is slightly painful but actually makes me laugh because you have no control over it. It's not that bad but some can be off putting. They don't last very long. I just try to stop my toe from pulling as it starts, if it's going to happen anyway, I just go with it and sometimes squeezing the bottom of my foot helps. I've also heard that if you get one in your leg, you can put your feet on a cold surface (don't know if that really works or not though). I'd mention it to your dr., if you start to get them a lot. I have seen meds in the drug store for charlie horses, but I don't know if they are safe to take while pregnant. Good luck, hope all is going really well.
Cindy
