Monday, 7 July Hi Kat!
I hope that you are feeling ok. The last message didn't sound so good. Are you over the tummy upset that you had? How is your mum? You didn't tell me that she had been ill -you mentioned in your message that she had been in hospital, which I am sorry to hear. I hope that it hasn't been anything serious. I have to say that I am not very good with anything medical related, so I would be hopeless at looking after dressings etc. I am dreading one of the girls having an accident or something as I am really not good with blood at all!! Anyway, I hope that life has been a bit better for you during the last few days.
We seem to have been very busy over the weekend!! The weather was forecast to be bad (and it WAS - rainy most of the time, well it was here - maybe you were a bit luckier than us!!?). My DH and I decided to make a start on some major re-organising work in the girls bedroom and our spare bedroom. We had bought some new bedroom furniture on Tuesday last week for the room that Bethan and Kate share. It was always going to be an enormous task (mostly because the spare bedroom has been used as a bit of a 'junk' room over the last few years). The room intended for the baby resembled a jumble sale - lots of bags of things and boxes of stuff!!
After a great deal of work on Saturday and Sunday all the new furniture is installed in the girls bedroom and all of the contents are back in wardrobes etc as it should be. There is less junk in the spare room and the 3 pieces of furniture that were in Bethan and Kate's room have been transferred to the spare room, ready for the baby things to go into. We are going to decorate sometime next year and get new curtains, bedding, rugs etc, so for now the room has had a really good clean. It actually resembles a bedroom now at last!!
I must admit though it feels really good to have got on so well, we didn't really expect to get so much done - and the house is beginning to look much better organised. I am trying to get as much done before the start of the school holidays in the hope that I can have 5-6 weeks of time with the girls without the stress of having to do too many large-scale jobs. The poor girls were really bored this weekend though as they couldn't play outside because of the rain and they didn't have much attention from us due to all of the work we were doing. We did manage to get them to the library for some new books and for a short cycle ride on Saturday. Then on Sunday Antony baked some chocolate chip muffins with them which they enjoyed. So, it wasn't all bad!!
I hope you are not stressing too much about getting things ready for the baby. I keep reminding myself that there are still 3 months to go yet AND babies don't really 'need' all that much do they!!? I am hoping to breastfeed as I did with my last two, but I do have a few bottles and a steriliser from when I had Kate as you can't be sure how things will work out.
When does school finish? Do the holidays start on 25th July as they do here? We are nearly at the point of counting down the days!! Hurrah!!
Hope you are OK
Love, Val xx dannii -

Monday, 7 July Thank you for your reply, I felt something last night, only very very slight though so can't be too sure if it was gas. Sunday, 6 July I agree with you on a couple of points. Firstly, yes I agree, maternity clothes are expensive and I don't like spending a lot either since I won't get to wear them again after (not planning on having any more children after this one). Secondly, I live in a small town and it is totally useless for maternity wear. In fact, i don't think any of the shops not even next, dp etc do maternity clothes as they aren't big stores in my area. I tend to buy mine on the internet as i can send them back if i don't like them. I am a size 16 normally and agree that we are more limited. I have bought a couple of skirts from simply be which look nice on and are elasticated waste. They aren't maternity but will fit throughout the whole pregnancy. It is definitely hard as i do feel kind of frumpy most of the time. And i still have a long way to go!...... - I think your shop would really take off. Good luck! -x MelisaK -
Sunday, 6 July I had some heartburn but it hasn't been that bad this time. It was horrible with both boys. A trick I learned is to drink a full glass of milk before you lay down or if it is really bothering you.
I would love to have sex to get labor started but I am like you...it is way too uncomfortable. I have contractions on and off but nothing consistent...I wish they were!!! Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain too much...it won't be long now. thunders79 -
Sunday, 6 July Why are you struggling with maternity stuff then? is it too big? marlenac -

Sunday, 6 July Thanks for your reply. Yes clothes are a bit of a nightmare. I have a few pairs of maternity trousers from next but have to wear a belt with them otherwise they fall down! - I bought a 'normal' pair of trousers from Dorothy Perkins last week and just bought them two sizes bigger! - they look better on then the maternity stuff. Sunday, 6 July Hey, haven't talked to you in a while. I hope you are feeling ok. I am soooo ready to have this little girl! I have permanent dark circles under my eyes due to lack of sleep. My back is under a lot of stress so it is always achey and I feel like I am a complete B@&ch! Oh the joys of the last month!!! I am getting ready to go take some tylenol and lay down. Not counting on any comfort...just maybe dozing off an hour or so here and there. I hope your pregnancy is not causing you too much discomfort at this point. I cannot wait till we have our little ones in our arms!!!
