Thank you sooooo much! Congrats on your pregnancy! You are almost there! I didn't even make it as far as you...so you are good to go!!!

if your doc is not paying attention to you and making you feel comfortable see if you can get someone else at your office. i know it is late in the game but youll be less worried and stressed and youll be happier.

You know your body better than anyone. Make the Doctor checks everything. I was telling my Doctor about frequent braxton hicks contractions. He blew me off until my non stress test, where he could see I was having them every 6 minutes. He seemed shocked. He asked me how long had I been doing that. I told him to check his chart. It was documented.

I leak sometimes when I cough or sneeze. I always thoght it was pee but I'm not to sure. The pain that you are talking about is pressure pains. Does it hurt when you try to get out of bed or when you are standing down? You have these pains because your baby is in the birth position and your body is preparing itself for delivery. Make you doctor listen to you when you talk to him because what you are feeling is very important and good luck on your baby.

You have to be you and your baby's advocate. Don't let that doctor push lyou around. Stand up for both of you, be persistent and tell him what's going on. The only one who is going to suffer is YOU AND YOUR BABY if you don't.

Girl please, who cares what your Dr thinks that is why he is there. Explain to the nurse etc.. who answers the phone they will advise you. When this happened to me they also asked me what color, so even if it is gross, I would save the pads, or wear white underwear or pants in case they want to SEE what it is you are talking about. A test they did was the Dr (at the ER) inserted a tampon like thing inside, waited an hour and if the tampon was blue (he inserted blue dye in an amnio) then it proved it was water. Mine was blue...Good luck, but it is you and your baby so follow your gut even if you are a worry wart, let them decide that =)

i had some pains at the top of my bump they were quite sore and my doctor said take gaviscon its heartburn!!!! Weel I am sure it is not heartburn!! Sometimes it is sooo annoying not to be taken serious, the fluid I have has no smell so I think that I might just have to call doctor and get it checked, Good luck

Maybe you should just go to the hospital and ask to be seen by labor and delivery and be checked out. You shouldnt keep stuff from the dr;s either it could be something that can be stopped. You really dont want to have yoru baby yet, so just go get checked and make sure its all ok, better to be safe right?

I am glad to hear things went good for you. How have you been feeling today???

yari - Monday, 28 April
Sounds like a plan, my pain and pressure was so bad, I did call the Dr. He basically confirmed that with each pregnancy (this is my 3rd) your body falls apart a little bit more and takes it a bit harder. Just one of the things we have to get thru until we make our countdown complete. =)

1stbabyforus - Thursday, 24 April
I would call the doctor. From what I read it sounds like contractions but by no means am I a doctor. I would call just to be sure.

julugo - Thursday, 24 April
call dr when it comes to your health and that of your baby there is no such thing as a dumb question

HppyMomToBeRS - Thursday, 24 April
o pain like that is normal unless you have had previous. I just got out of the hospital with preterm labor and mine started out with no pain and then got more painful. Mine were timed though and were about 2- 4 min apart. Do yours come and go. Never feel stupid to call your doctore that is what they are there for and what if something was really worng and you did nothing and you lost your baby it is not worth it. Please call your doctor just in case. I was in the hospital for two days and ended up with my steroid shots for the baby lungs because my cervix has shortned to 1.38 cm. Please keep me posted and please call your doctor because your little baby boy comes first.

mama40 - Thursday, 24 April
Call your doctor. Or just go to the hospital. As my own doctor says - never be afraid to bother your doctor - this is what doctor is for. If this is the beginning of labor, you would want it to be stopped as soon as possible. If this is harmless contractions - you would just be monitored for some time and then sent home.

Hey there, call your doctor always for any concerns, but also try and shift position (left side tilt or laydown), go to the RR, drink water. I have found that when I get bloated if feels as if my stomach is being ripped from my skin. Hurts very bad, can't move and I double over if in mid step...Hope anything helps!

When I had my 3hr GD they called me the minute the got the results it took about 2 day. I have GD and it's not fun. Luckly I have been able to stay off the insulin so far. At 17 almost 18 your body will respond to the pregnancy different than if you were 28 or 29. Believe me I know. I had my daughter 27 days after I turned 16 and my son 13 days after I turned 19. Both of those were a walk in the park compaired to this one. Sorry off track there. Usually if you don't hear from your doctor then there is no bad news to report. But If you are worried about it, just give the doc a call. Better to set your mind at ease.

1stbabyforus - Saturday, 19 April
When I had the GD test done, they told me before i left the office if I passed or not. But I would call.

firstbub - Saturday, 19 April
Hey sweetie, just thought I'd let you know that the doctors get the results from the tests within 2 to 3 days so they would surely have rung you by now if something was wrong! So don't stress about it, if they haven't rung then you don't have it! Take it easy hunni! x x x x x

julugo - Friday, 18 April
they called me the next day but i was positive for gd sence you havent heard your probley ok but call them anyway just to ease your mind. good luck

kara8385 - Friday, 18 April
IF THEY DON'T CALL YOU, YOU SHOULD BE FREE AND CLEAR OF ANYTHING. I DIDN'T HAVE GD, BUT LOW IRON AND THEY CALLED ME 2 DAYS LATER, SO THEY WILL FOR SURE CALL YOU IF ANYTHING IS WRONG. GOOD LUCK!!

AprilChristine - Friday, 18 April
I found out the day I got the test done, but my MIL works at my Ob office, she's a nurse there. So that's probably why I found out so soon.

not sure what the norm is.

stcy2113 - Friday, 18 April
I did my 1 hr test on 04/10 also and had not heard anything, I called the Dr yesterday and she said no news is good news and I passed. Good Luck!
