About me!!

Hey, I had my baby boy Oliver Jack Hammond on 31st May 2008, he is so gorgeous and I have never been more in love ( well jointly with louis lol (in case he is reading this) ) He weighed 8 lb 13 and is so perfect, I love him more and more every day. Me an his daddy are so proud of him he is everything to us an it makes me so happy to call him our son : )

I am 16 years old and live in Cheltenham in the UK. I have been with my boyfriend Louis for 2 and a half years and this is our first baby and I am very excited and very nervous!! I would love to talk to people who are in a similar situation or just generally chat about pregnancy!! We think we are having a girl but thats just from my maternal instinct and according to the old wives tales : ) We are calling our baby Lily if its a girl and Oliver if its a boy. . I love my baby so much and can't wait for him/her to arrive safely!!!!

Have you picked out names?: Yea, both boy and girl names are pretty definate, although we havnt settled on middle names!

Are you excited about the birth, or scared?: excited at the moment, I will probably be scared when I start getting painful contractions though!!! Pregnancy Diary!! 9th February: I was officially 24 weeks yesterday an i am soooo excited!!!! I feel like this is a real landmark, and the baby wouldn't let me forget it either!! lol.. I had my 24 week checkup the otherday!! Everything is fine an next time I go I have to have my anti-D injections as im Rhesus Negative!!!! The baby's heatbeat has slowed down a little bit to 148 bpm, it was 152 before but i think thats all normal!! My widwife told me my baby was a little bit bigger than average an should weigh between 7 and 8 pounds which is great!!! Im also really thinking about having a waterbirth, but Im not positive yet!!

I was reading your post about your baby eating for like four hours straight. My baby did the same thing. It is called cluster feeding. They tend to do this when they are going through a growth spurt. My baby stopped doing this around 6-8 weeks sometime. She is now 4 1/2 months. It gets so much easier I promise. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions or ever want to talk. Hey Congratulations you were so lucky that you were in labor for only 8 hours i was in labor for 21 and a half hours and in tons of pain the whole time that is til i got the epidural more will power to you that you had him natural i would of if i could but i was started!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can go based off smell. . . if your close smell like pee than there is your explanation. But if they dont have that amonia smell then it was probably your water breaking!

i have had the same gush of liquid for a few days now. i rang my midwife and she said the same, to put on a pad and call back if there was anything on it in after a couple of hours. i did that and the pad was damp, so i called back and she said she would expect the pad to be heavy if it was my waters breaking, and it would be continuosly trickling. so i guess it is just lots of watery discharge, as it's still happening with me, just not all the time. but keeep an eye on the colour and smell if it happens again, as if it was your waters it could cause infection. hope that helps a bit.

i was only 16 when i had my first baby....are you still living at home or have you moved out??? take as much help as you can ok...if your mum and dad say they want to look after him or her take them up on it as its hard work.....but worth every minute ha ha...
i know i felt like i was missing out as my friends were all out on the town but my family were really good and baby sat for me quite a lot... and now i am 35 and my little girl i had at 16 is going to be 20 in october...and we are the best of friends....she has got a little boy of 15 mths too...and i think a young mum is a great mum...far more energy than i have now ....im doing it all again in a few weeks but really feeling the strain this time....old age eh !!!
