ABOUT ME

MY NAME IS TINA IM 22 AND FROM GRIMSBY IN ENGLAND. I LIVE WITH MY PARTNER DARREN WHO IS 30 AND WE HAVE BEEN 2GETHER 5 AND A HALF YRS.WE DIDNT PLAN TO HAVE A BABY BUT WE WANTED ONE AT SUM POINT BUT IT WAS NEVER THE RIGHT TIME. WE SPLIT UP THEN I CAME OFF THE PILL TO GIVE MY BODY A BREAK BUT MY PERIOD NEVER ARRIVED,MY MUM SAID IT WOULD BE MY BODY ADDJUSTING 2 COMING OFF THE PILL. 3 MONTHS DOWN THE LINE MY PERIOD STILL NEVER CAME SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE THE DOCTOR BECAUSE I WAS WORRIED I MAY HAVE POLYCYSTIC OVARIE SYNDROME AS I HAD ALL THE SYMPTOMS SO MY DOCTOR CASUALLY DID A ROUTINE PREGNANCY TEST AND IT PROVED POSITIVE

ARRRRGGGG!!!

I WAS IN SHOCK I DINT KNOW WHO TO TELL SO I CALLED MY SISTER THE BRAINY ONE IN THE FAMILY WHO MADE ME SEE SENSE. SHE WAS SOOOO HAPPY 4 ME EVEN THO SHE HAS PCOS AND MAY NEVER CONCEIVE. THEN I TOLD MY EX PARNER WHO IMMIDIATELY CAME ROUND AND PUT HIS ARMS AROUND ME AND BEGGED ME TO TRY AGAIN....I KNEW WHAT I WANTED AND IT WAS THE SAME. I MADE THE FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH THE MIDWIFE AND LARNED I WAS 3 MONTHS PREGNANT SO I WAS ALREADY OUT OF THE DANGER ZONE.

TELLING MY PARENTS

I TOLD MY MUM WHILE I WAS SAT WITH MY BEST FRIEND AND SHE DIDNT BELIVE ME BUT WHEN SHE DID SHE WAS SO EXCITED FOR ME. SHE HAS 5 OF HER OWN BUT WANTED 7 BUT MY DAD SAID NO! LOL. THEN I TOLD THE REST OF THE FAMILY WHO WERE ALSO PLEASED FOR ME....THEN I TOLD MY DAD!!! HE WAS LAST TO KNOW BECAUSE I WAS WORRIED ABOUT HIS REACTION BUT HE WAS FINE.

MY PREGNANCY

WELL IF I DIDNT GO TO THE DOCTOR IN THE FIRST PLACE I WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN I WAS PREGGERS. IVE HAD NO MORNING SICKNESS NO CRAVINGS NO MOOD SWINGS I JUST GET SORE BOOBS ONCE EVERY 2 DAYS AND THATS IT SO PPL SAY IM VERY LUCKY....TOUCH WOOD THIS COULD ALL CHANGE IM DUE TO HAVE A BABY BOY ON THE 2ND OF MAY 08 AND IM CALLING HIM ASHLEY

So tomorrow's the big sweep huh?? Do you know how long it takes after the procedure before you'll know if it worked or not. I mean, can you go into labor immediately or could it take days....??? Men get paternity leave in England?? No way! That is so not fair, yet totally awesome at the same time. How long does he get off of work for? You're so funny.... I already sit on my ass all day long... it's like an evil struggle to talk myself into going to work out. I went 2 nights in a row and I'm taking tonight off. It's going to be a lazy night for me. I have been craving McDonald's ... and I know it's not good for me, but I want it. I hardly ever ate that stuff before I was pregnant, and my husband would not like it if I had it.. so my plan is to get some on either Friday night or Saturday while he's at work. I'm going to get it, enjoy it... and be very sneaky about it!! LOL. What can I say.. the baby wants a burger and fries... I have to give in! :-)

Hmmm... so that's what a sweep is. British stuff is so funny, because to sweep here means something totally different... it's part of cleaning floors. hehehe! :-) Well, let's hope it works for you so that you can see that little boy already. I'll bet you both are so eager to see him already. Is his dad really excited? If I gain 42 pounds, I hope I look as good as you do! :-) I've been trying to work out still in the hopes that I won't gain too much and because I hear it makes the delivery easier. I went last night and I plan on going tonight too.... as long as I go at least 3 times a week, I think that's pretty good. Plus, I always tell my little one that they did a good job when I'm done and I rub my belly. lol :-) At least last night didn't make me feel sick, so that's a plus.

Well, he must really like it in there! :-) You said you have a sweep on Friday? What's that? So you and the baby have been sun-tanning, huh? LOL. That sounds like something I'll be doing here once it gets warmer. I'm a firm beliver in the fact that tan fat looks better than white fat... and so I am definitely tanning mine! HA! My pregnancy is going well.... I feel like I'm getting a belly already. I'm almost 12 weeks and I guess it's possible. All I know is my clothes DO NOT fit me the way they used to. I just can't wait to get to the point where I look totally pregnant... where people will see me and think... "Oh she has a baby in there." ..... instead of them thinking.. "Maybe she should lay off the cheeseburgers!" :-) I'd love to get more of my energy back and be less crabby.... but I have yet to achieve that.

lol its been to hot today!!i went shopping after hospital bought a cute little girly summer set out of m&s there baby clothes are good prices u no!i didnt expect them to be!!im getting little pains now.fingers crossed!hope ur ok.x

Ok... so it's Monday now.. is that little one still refusing to come out? :-) Hang in there.... he'll be out to greet you and his daddy in no time! I hope when you get a chance that you'll post some pics of him after he's born because I'm sure he will be absolutely adorable and I'd love to see what he looks like.

lol im a big chicken!i refused the sweep straight away not a chance was i gunna be having that!i dread to think how labour will be lol if i cant handle a sweep il pass out in labour!!!ive still got my bad back i dont think she is far away at all!!im getting cramps to in my stomach,which the midwife said is a good sign things are kicking in!its just waiting 4 it lol!!its horrible knowing im overdue and im just sitting here wondering when!my phone does not stop going with mates textin to see if she,s arrived!il have to give u my moby number to keep in touch if u want it,cuz i doubt il be on the net alot when she,s arrived!ul be as busy to lol!exciting isnt it!how far engaged is little ashley?my little 1 is 3/5 engaged!

lol i went to hospital today cuz my BP was high,they offered me a sweep i refused it!!not a chance am i having that done!il wait 2 weeks if i have to!im getting pains now tho im me bak and me stomach so think its actualy starting off slowly.im not comfy at all!!they were thinkin of inducing me today but decided not to!lol!let me no if little ashley appears.x

God, that would be so great if I could do that too. Your doctor said that was OK to sleep on your belly? I have been concerned that I would squish the baby or something, but I just think that if I have to sleep any other way.. that I won't get any sleep at all. You know... totally different subject, but you sure are an awfully cute mom...
:-) Pregnancy agrees with you. I see you'll be having your son any day now and I wish you a safe and quick delivery. I was going to say painless, but I think we both know that's not entirely possible. :-)

um i had about 2-3 cups a day starting when i was about 35 weeks along. my labor was long it was from 6am to 745pm but i was induced...i can tell you my recovery was really quick i dont know if it was the tea or not but im thankful lol but maybe it will speed it up if you go into labor naturally

i just read your post about rasberry tea. i tryed it too but it didnt work for me either...but i did make a really yummy drink out of it...if you mix it with lemonade and drink it cold or over ice its sooo good! and a great drink for the summer lol well you are so close now congrats on the upcomming arrival of your baby and good luck to you!

Raspberry leaf tea does not bring on labor, it is meant to strengthen the uterine muscles in order to shorten the second stage of labor, so keep drinking it, as it is good for you after baby too, as it helps you uterus get bacck to shape faster!
