ABOUT ME

MY NAME IS TINA IM 22 AND FROM GRIMSBY IN ENGLAND. I LIVE WITH MY PARTNER DARREN WHO IS 30 AND WE HAVE BEEN 2GETHER 5 AND A HALF YRS.WE DIDNT PLAN TO HAVE A BABY BUT WE WANTED ONE AT SUM POINT BUT IT WAS NEVER THE RIGHT TIME. WE SPLIT UP THEN I CAME OFF THE PILL TO GIVE MY BODY A BREAK BUT MY PERIOD NEVER ARRIVED,MY MUM SAID IT WOULD BE MY BODY ADDJUSTING 2 COMING OFF THE PILL. 3 MONTHS DOWN THE LINE MY PERIOD STILL NEVER CAME SO I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE THE DOCTOR BECAUSE I WAS WORRIED I MAY HAVE POLYCYSTIC OVARIE SYNDROME AS I HAD ALL THE SYMPTOMS SO MY DOCTOR CASUALLY DID A ROUTINE PREGNANCY TEST AND IT PROVED POSITIVE

ARRRRGGGG!!!

I WAS IN SHOCK I DINT KNOW WHO TO TELL SO I CALLED MY SISTER THE BRAINY ONE IN THE FAMILY WHO MADE ME SEE SENSE. SHE WAS SOOOO HAPPY 4 ME EVEN THO SHE HAS PCOS AND MAY NEVER CONCEIVE. THEN I TOLD MY EX PARNER WHO IMMIDIATELY CAME ROUND AND PUT HIS ARMS AROUND ME AND BEGGED ME TO TRY AGAIN....I KNEW WHAT I WANTED AND IT WAS THE SAME. I MADE THE FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH THE MIDWIFE AND LARNED I WAS 3 MONTHS PREGNANT SO I WAS ALREADY OUT OF THE DANGER ZONE.

I TOLD MY MUM WHILE I WAS SAT WITH MY BEST FRIEND AND SHE DIDNT BELIVE ME BUT WHEN SHE DID SHE WAS SO EXCITED FOR ME. SHE HAS 5 OF HER OWN BUT WANTED 7 BUT MY DAD SAID NO! LOL. THEN I TOLD THE REST OF THE FAMILY WHO WERE ALSO PLEASED FOR ME....THEN I TOLD MY DAD!!! HE WAS LAST TO KNOW BECAUSE I WAS WORRIED ABOUT HIS REACTION BUT HE WAS FINE.

MY PREGNANCY

WELL IF I DIDNT GO TO THE DOCTOR IN THE FIRST PLACE I WOULD NEVER HAVE KNOWN I WAS PREGGERS. IVE HAD NO MORNING SICKNESS NO CRAVINGS NO MOOD SWINGS I JUST GET SORE BOOBS ONCE EVERY 2 DAYS AND THATS IT SO PPL SAY IM VERY LUCKY....TOUCH WOOD THIS COULD ALL CHANGE IM DUE TO HAVE A BABY BOY ON THE 2ND OF MAY 08 AND IM CALLING HIM ASHLEY

Raspberry leaf tea does not bring on labor, it is meant to strengthen the uterine muscles in order to shorten the second stage of labor, so keep drinking it, as it is good for you after baby too, as it helps you uterus get bacck to shape faster!

yep i agree with the girl from oz im having the same issue and asked doc yesterday about it and she said its because he is engaged in my pelvis and im actually at -2 station i wouldnt worry about it

Sounds like baby has dropped into your pelvis and you are pretty much ready. I did the same before I gave birth. your fundus height measures a few cm lower when this happens. G'luck! X

I swear, you can't write your opinion on this page without someone getting offended. I don't see anything wrong with voicing your opinion. It seems like the majority of the public trust ,and do what their doctor says (even though it's not an emergency situation) without researching it first or asking for an alternative!

I too thought about not vaccinating, because I have a first cousin that has autism, that has been linked to vaccinations. But I can say that I researched and the pros outweight the cons by far. The chances of your baby getting something without the vaccines are much greater than if the baby did not get them. Yes it is true that the vaccines are grown in labs, on human and animal tissue. My cousin (the one with the autistic son) has advised me to ask for "thermerosol free" vaccinations. This is an aditive that is injected directly into a vial of medication to preserve the shelf life. This preservative contains mercury (which has been linked to autism). I asked the hospital that I will be giving birth at if their vaccines were thermerosol free and they said absolutley! I would advise that you research, before you decide. I too got a little freaked out, but I talked to my families pediatrician, and my OB, and felt better. I hope this helps......Keep me posted.

I went thru the same thing...there is some bad research out there. I found a ped who would talk to me about what's REALLY in them and which ones are safer than others and which ones are more important to get. She had done the research too and felt some were more important. I did wait and not have any done in the hopsital and postponed or fore-went several of them. Unfortunately you can't believe everything you read and a lot of folks write stuff off of emotional experience and scare tactics. It's wise to research it , for sure.
