Okay so this is where im supposed to write everything about myself and my pregnancy? well i suppose its a little late considering im already nearly half way there! but what the heck ill give it a shot anyway! well ive just turned 18 weeks ( woo wooo) seems to be going really really fast, i can't believe where the time has gone! seems like just yesterday i was looking at my positive pregnancy test! well me and my partner wasn't trying for this baby, it just sort of happened and now we have to deal with it :D but i was more than happy at the news and so was he! this will be his third but my first... so he sort of knows what to expect were as i dont! but i'm sure he'll teach me everything he knows! i can't wait to find out if its a boy or a girl, which should happen in the next few weeks, ( im hoping for a girl ) but either way im not too fussed aslong as its healthy :) my due date is the 27thof december ( yes i know xmas time )but most babies dont arrive on time anyway so you never know. if anyone has a due date close to mine or even the same date then get in touch, would love to hear how everyones feeling, and could compare notes, i also felt my baby move for the first time when i was 17 weeks, it was great! and now it doesnt stop! its nice to feel it moving and reassures you that everything in there is fine! which is always good to know. i shall update this thing more when i have more time... :)



26Th July...

Went to my booking appointment Yesterday to have my blood tests and everything done which lasted about 3 hours! and they've also moved my due date once AGAIN! now its the 27th of decemeber, 2 days after xmas lol so that should be fun, so now im 18 weeks today, not still in my 17th week, gosh it is going fast!! i hope all my blood results come back normal.. they also found sugar in my urine yesterday which could mean i could or could have already developed gestational diabetes which i hope not! i have to go back in a few weeks for a glucose tests * fingers crossed* i also get to find out if its a boy or girl at my next scan date WOO lol its the 15Th of August, which im really looking forward too! i shall put my scan pic up once i get it, i hope he/shes healthy!! so yes apart from all that im feeling pretty good i guess, be better if the baby kicked more.. i love it!!


5Th August...

Okay so i haven't updated this is a little while, so today i had a little scare, ended up in casulty! but was told everything was fine, i had been spotting a little, and a little crampy so of course i was worried! i was told maybe it was the other half being a bit ruff! if u know what i mean! i couldnt believe i went through all that panic to be told that, how embarrasing! lol anyway they did a smear and i should get my results to see if theres any major cause for the bleeding but they said that don't think there is! which is good. i also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time! she couldn't find it at first , which was very worrying, she kept finding my pulse instead lol but in the end she found out, 150bpm? Girl? i have my scan in 9 days wooooo!! are we going blue / pink?

15th August...

So i went for my ultrasound today, and well ITS A BOY!! she was only 80% though, but 80% is enough for me! so my bf was really happy at the fact that its a boy! but so am i! now we can start buying blues yay! i also went for my blood test results... all fine apart from im a little anemic! and not immune to rubella! so i shall have that jab as soon as ive had him. i also have something called group b strep? which is something i was born with, but can only effect the baby during labour, which means i have to be put on a drip with antibiotics and baby will have to have antibiotics for his first few days.. but aslong as everything goes well which ive been told it should do, i just have to go straight to hospital when i first go into labour! how great! lol so yeah i think thats it for today ! lol im happyyy :D

21 weeks

10th October...


Well i haven't updated in a while, my browser doesn't support it so i've only just found one that will.. anyhow... quite alot has changed since i last updated this thing.. babies been moving around alot! i feel him turning,kicking,hiccuping,streching..everything, its amazing... although it's not that great when your trying to sleep lol. i've been having bad heartburn alot recently.. supposed to mean alot of hair right? well with the heartburn i've been getting he must have a wig!! lol got everything ready now also, just need cot and pram which will be getting once he's here, can't say im looking forward to messing around with the cot and going out looking for a pram afterwards, but with it being bad luck i suppose its only right, altho im not a great believer of all that superstitious stuff. but anyhow... i also dont have to go back to see my midwife till im 32 weeks? anyone have any idea why that is? i heard once your 28 weeks.. your antental appointments are every 2 weeks? maybe my pregnancy is going well so i don't need them to keep checking up on me, which is good i suppose, but it's still nice to go and know that the babies doing well. oh my gosh i can't believe i only have 11 weeks to go? it's gone really fast!! and to say ive done 7 months already is just mental lol just want the 11 weeks to hurry up now, so i can get things back to normal, and actually get comfy in bed at night, and not keep getting up to pee! lol hope all you ladies are well...


25 Weeks...




22nd October

Hmm well i thought i had it easy not going back to the hospital till i was 32 weeks, i think ive been back about 1000 times since then lol, got a call from the hospital saying my last FBS was high and i needed to go back the next day for GTT.. how great! So i get there and they take my first lot of blood ( i liked that midwife she was kinda gentle) lol then gave me that horrible dreaded drink of what i can only discribe as sweet tasting washing up liquid.. omg it was vile! but i managed to get it all down.. after about 15 minutes lol then she sent me back to the waiting room where i had to wait 2 hours!! i was not very happy, they could of at least let me put jeremy kyle on the t.v! haha so she called me back in, in 2 hours time, and repeated the blood test, gave me more iron tablets and sent me on my way... said i should get a phone call the next day if it was high.. but if i didnt receive a fone call then everything will be fine, and WOOO i didnt get a phone call ( which i was happy about ) dont have GD :) So just when i think that i might beable to have a few weeks of not running to the docs or the hospital i notice that one of my feet and ankle is swelled, but yet the other is fine? uhm i started to panic and wonder why it was only one? i knew this was common in pregnancy, but only one? so i looked on the internet to find some answers.. and read that it can be a blood clot.. i go into panic mode lol and im at the docs the next day. They did the usual tests...Urine,Bp,Hr,BS. and had a good feel at my leg, told me it seemed to be normal and to rest it alot, everything else was find apart from they found ketones in my urine.. hmm id never heard of them before this, but apparently it means that your ill ? or maybe coming down with something JUST GREAT! thats all i need, she said also maybe im dehydrated? due to dry skin and dry lips and stuff so maybe thats all it was.. so another day done.. then yesterday morning.. i wake up to go to the loo and notice my pee burns.. o no! not again! please just let me have one day! lol then i couldn't get back to sleep due to back pain, and front lower cramps and sickness.. i knew exactly what this was.. yet ANOTHER UTI! this will be my 6th one in the last few months! so went to the docs again today for another lot of antibiotics.. i hate taking all these meds.. it can't be good for him :(.. just hopefully now this will be the last time it happens... and i can actually enjoy the rest of my pregnancy.. well whats left of it! i had to write all this down, otherwise i probably would have screamed!! lol


30 weeks

2nd November


well i can't say much has happened since the last time i updated really, Went to the docs on wednesday for my 32 week appointment.. said all is well, and hes head down but not engaged..and i dont have to go back to see my midwife now for another 2 weeks.. but im guessin from then on it will be every week! i can't believe how far i am already? does everyone else think its just flown by? the way he kicks from inside.. its like hes ready to join us now! i have to keep telling him to be patient lol just like his daddy.. cant wait for anything :) We've pretty much done everything now, apart from a few bits and bats.. just awaiting his arrival now, people have bets on my due date, i wonder who will be right? i reckon i'll go early january and skip the xmas period all together.. with a bit of luck, but i'd also just like to have him and get it all over with. but who knows ? can't predict these things! My belly seems to have grown a ton since my last appt.. im measuring 32cm? is that about right? at my last Fhm i was 28cm.. so my bellys grown like 4 cm in the past few weeks, but u can really tell ( well i can anyway lol ) hope all your mummies are doin n have everything sorted nearly :D i know i have.. just a few more bits n bobs to get.. this is a new pic of my 32 week bellie... big or not?



32 Weeks






6th December

37 weeks..



Gosh typing that is so strange, i can't believe i'm this far already! its amazing! in another month this will all be over.. i guess im happy about that cos i get my baby, but also a little sad too, because its an amazing experience for anybody to go through! i love being a women :) ( bet i dont say that whilst giving birth lol ) so anyway.. i have 21 days to go? wow... i remember looking at that thing when it said something like 150 odd days to go! which i must admit feels like years ago! but in another sense it doesn't.. strange.. so christmas is also just around the corner, and i can't seem to get into the xmas spirit at all.. not even bothered to do my tree yet haha its like i can't celebrate properly till hes out, then i can think about christmas lol weird ey? or do most people who are due around the same time as me feel the same about xmas? im kinda hoping to go in the next week or 2, but i doubt that will happen seeing as though this is my first baby,and he doesn't seem to want to budge! but u never know with babies.. come when they want too..! and o my .. how much does being 8 n half months pregnant do your back in?! lol i can't seem to stand up straight anymore without wanting to keel over... so basically im walking like a hunch back lol how attractive! this will probably be my last update b4 xmas.. unless of course i have my baby :D so i hope you all have a lovely xmas! and plenty of babies :D

1st january...

Hmm so here i am still pregnant!! my little man is 5 days late! then again if hes anything like me.. no wonder! haha so im starting to think hes never gonna come out, i think he quite comfy in his mummies belly, but we want to meet him!! so i was due on the 27th december... i never thought id make it to january i even thought i would have him earlier than my original duedate.. thats what thought did ey? So i went for my 40+ check up with my midwife, she asked if id like a membrane sweep done to try and get things moving, so i was like yeah okay if it will work, so she tried but apparently my cervix is too far back and she couldnt reach? or even tell if i was dialated or anything, which i was a bit gutted about because i want to know if ive at least progressed any! so she said if i dont have him before the 8th of jan, i get to go in and be induced wooo at least i deffo know that he will be here on the 8th or 9th! but i have a funny feeling he will come on his own just before .. like the night before or sumthing lol but im sure we'll see what happens neway, i took castor oil the other night thinking it might help or at least do something, and o my lord.. i was in agony all nite for about 4 hours, it was horrible, i cudda sworn it was labour... but they wasnt coming regular... so i had to just sit thru them and hope they would regulate but didnt, and the next day.. poooof! they had gone.. i was so gutted! so word of warning ladys.. castor oil does nothing apart from give you pain but no progress lol and it taste disgusting! aragh.. never again... i have my midwife coming round to see me bright and early tomorrow morning to check my blood pressure as its been quite high lately, so hopefully its down tomorrow,dont want to have to be worrying about high blood pressure n all, so wish me luck! and congrat to all the new mummies who have had their babies already! im very jealous! lol and happy new year :)




So this is ma pram that ma mum kindly bought for her first grandson :) i love it! lemon and grey... not seen one with colours like that before.. not boring like the plain old blue ones u see lol ...
