My name is Yvonne and I am expecting my beautiful little girl Danielle Renee on September 18, 2009. Dani is my little miracle girl, I'm not supposed to be able to have any kids, so she is my 5th miracle child, but I was also taking the pill when I conceived. I can't wait to meet her, I have four sons, so I never thought I would have a girl. It never mattered to me what sex I had as long as they were all healthy and I have been very blessed with great kids. They are not perfect, but they are all great in their own ways.

With my DH being 6'3" and me at 5'8" it is no doubt that she is likely to be tall. If she weighed any less and was this long, she would really look odd. At least she is in proportion. Too bad the clothes don't fit her right, but it will all even out eventually. :-) Your's will be the petite gymnast and mine will be the tall basketball player. LOL As long as they are healthy, nothing else matters.

It would be great if she could meet him! Hopefully, it will happen this year. At least you have an open line of communication with his dad and can plan a visit yourself down the road if need be. Does he make it to Ohio? From how it sounds, it appears that he wants a relationship with you and Danielle. That's awesome.

How much does Danielle weigh and how long is she? She was partially done w/ her bottle, so I gave her the rest of it after the shots. Poor thing...she turned a deep red and let us this high pitch, loud, scream. My dad (who was waiting in the waiting room down the hall) opened the door cause he heard her. He said he wanted to come rescue her. She already loves her grandpa and he is very smitten with her too. Since she is staying over there with them during the day, he is getting quiet attached. It is so wonderful.

Sounds like a very,. very successful shopping trip!! Karley was 11lbs., 10 oz (52%) and 24" long (88%). I guess she has gotten her mommy and daddy's height or so it seems. No wonder her outfits are loose in the belly, but shorter in the length. HA!! She SCREAMED when they gave her the shots. I thought she'd cry, but she actually SCREAMED. I hated it, but I know it is better than her contracting one of the diseases. How is Dani today?

I am sure at her appointment tomorrow Karley will tip the scales a lot higher than Danielle. It will be interesting to hear what the doctor says about her feeding/diaper issues - as I am curious if we are on the expensive formula now forever or if she'll try to switch her back. Also, Karley almost always has a dirty diaper and not many wets only. Hope that is normal for this pre-digested formula.Have fun shopping for Danielle....shoes are a must and so fun to get. I love shopping for girls clothes - they are so cute and pretty. Enjoy the newness of "girls" shopping - we've got lots of years ahead of dresses, bows, cute pant sets, shoes, jewerly, purses, etc. Kari, my eldest, is s shoe crazy girl...I hope she doesn't influence my little one too early. HA!!!

I hope he comes around, as he realizes that Danielle will need some one on one time with him too. So many of us pay the price for past transgressions by ex-wifes and ex-husbands. If they carry it forward with them, it makes it so hard. I am fortunate that my DH wasn't married before and doesn't have kids, so there aren't any influencing forces like in your case. But, I have definitely experienced it in prior relationships. Aargh! I am glad he has told his father - just keep focusing on that and the little steps he is making. He may be one of those that has to put his toe in the water, than the foot, the ankle, the calf, the knee, so on - just a little at a time. I am hoping and praying that is the case and that he keeps moving forward, even if it is a little bit at a time. Forward is good progress.

$100 is a lot and you can make that stretch. What size is Danielle wearing now? Karley is still wearing some of her newborn stuff, as her trunk (body) is slim, but long. Many of the 0-3's are too big on her and gap at the neck and are too big around her waist. Ugh! She is just hard to fit right now. Happy shopping time!!

I have a feeling you are right about his son being spoiled - just how you describe him shows that he is worried about having to "share" his dad. Maybe it is because his mom is so messed up. I hope that as Danielle continues to engage more with her dad that the bond will fuse even stronger and he will begin sharing her with his family and friends.
