3/9/08 - I finally got my own VIP page. I have been waiting until I was sure everything was going to stick before joining... See the peri on the 14th for our first trimester scans. Scared and nervous (sometimes me and hubby feel if we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck at all)

3/17/08 - Okay...I went to the Perinatologist on Friday for the first trimester screening. The first thing they did was sit my husband and I down in a dimly lit little room (I think it was supposed to be calming) with a genetic counselor who describes to us all the horrible things that our baby could have and what our odds are. Then she tells us the first trimester screening just will give us a number of the likelihood that the baby has one of these genetic disorders. Then depending on the results of these tests we can decide if we want the amnio or not to be sure. They do the amnio at 15 weeks and the results take two weeks to culture. My question is this...by the time I get these results I will be 17+ weeks, at this point are there even any options? Somehow, my husband and I never managed to ask this question as I think we were both overwhelmed at this point. So confusing... On the upside, the baby wouldn't stay still to get its measurements so we ended up getting like a 1/2 hour viewing of the little thing.

4/20/08- We found out friday that it is a girl! Everything looks great and so far all of the tests have come back very low risk (first trimester screening) and normal (AFP). I am very relieved and have decided not to have an amnio as there is no way that I could terminate at this point anyhow.
Now I just have to be patient until I get to see her!

Ya I totally did! It was a riot too cuz they just stuck the grocery store sack into a gift bag. Didn't wash it or anything. You would be amazed at what people consider appropriate to give to you. Good luck. Maybe your guests will not fit into the same demographic or will just know that it is tacky to do that. I don't mind to used clothes but at a shower? Crazy!

Hi i saw your 29 week post on heart burn and water. I was like that in the first and most of the 2nd trimester! I found this stuff called True Lemon that I could put in my water bottle. It really helped. It is all natural with no fake anything. They have a website if you want to Google it. Many blessings to you and yours!

That is funny that you want what I want. We went out last night to have dinner at friends house and was so hoping they were having tacos. No. It was good but no chalupa. haha.
