Hello there, My name is Zavana and im 22 years old and expecting my first child with my handsome partner Hamish.
Though our baby wasnt planned for this year, it is still a blessing to be able to have him a year earlier!
**IM HAVING A HANDSOME LITTLE BOY!**
I live in New Zealand and would love to chat with people from the same place.
I have been on this site ever since i found out i was pregnant, but have decided to join so i can chat to others about arising problems or concerns. I have noticed here in NZ we do alot of things different to most Country's eg. Having to wait till 20 weeks till find out the sex.
The week after that i had found out that i was pregnant, the morning ( or should i say all day) sickness kicked in. I had it from 7 weeks till about 14 weeks. Apart from that everything seems to be trucking along normally. My Midwife is my partners Auntie in which is great, as she is a family member and i get to see her all the time unlike the other midwifes here in NZ in which seems to be so booked with others, that when you have an appointment with them, your time limited. I AM LUCKY!
- I finally felt my baby kick for the first time April 22nd. What an amazing experience it is to be able to feel this life inside of me kick and move around.

I remember being where you are now, and saying the same thing to my friends who were further on, this whole pregnancy went really fast, and you will be here before you know it, every day now feels like a week and every week a month, but I know soon I will be holding my baby in my arms, just when is the question, hehe

No, I haven't used anything on my belly, not even moisturiser, they don't work anyways, as the tears, I believe come from the inside layers stretching and tearing, no amount of oil or moisturiser will get that deep;)

Yes, it is pretty cool to labour and birth at home, I tried for a water birth, but at the last moment, I wanted to be checked by the midwife and she couldn't feel the dilation in the pool, so I got on our bed, and there I stayed, I literally couldn't move, I went only back to the pool to nurse and to calm my baby, as he wouldn't stop screaming, but once in the warm water he stopped and started to nurse, lol!

Home births are really cool, if not for my bad back and the agonising pain I go through in labour, I would have another homebirth, (have had two homebirths), it was a very cool experience to go through, even with the back pain, but I am just not prepared to put up with that pain again, even the epidural doesn't take the pain fully away:(

No, my babies weights go like this...first 7lbs 11oz, second- 7lbs 15oz, third-7lbs 6oz, fourth- 7lbs 9oz, fifth-8 lbs 7oz, sixth-8lb 15oz.
so I am thinking, that Eden might be 9 lb 3oz, who knows? at this rate she probably will, come out Eden!!!
