Kia Ora, Hello!

My name is Zavana and im 22 years old and expecting my first child with my handsome partner Hamish.

Though our baby wasnt planned for this year,

it is still a blessing to be able to have him a year earlier!

I live in New Zealand and would love to chat with people from the same place.

I have been on this site ever since I found out I was pregnant, but have decided to join so I can chat to others about arising problems or concerns.

The week after that I had found out that I was pregnant ( Jan. 23rd was the day i found out) the morning or shall i say all day sickness kicked in. I had it from 7 weeks till about 14 weeks. Apart from that everything seems to be trucking along normally. :)

My Midwife is my partners Auntie in which is great, as she is a family member and I get to see her all the time unlike the other midwifes here in NZ in which seems to be so booked with others, that when you have an appointment with them, your time limited.

I AM LUCKY!

I am considering having a water birth at home, as the saying goes

" Theres no place like home!"

I finally felt my baby kick for the first time April 22nd. What an amazing experience it is to be able to feel this life inside of me kick and move around. And FINALLY Hamish was able to feel our baby move on the outside on June 19th!

Just wish sometimes that he wouldnt play soccer when im trying to get to sleep after work! :)

July 1st- Noticed my nipples starting to leak..Something that totally took me by suprize!

So she is going to wait to induce you until your 42 weeks?? Ack, that would freak me out if bubs doesn't come before then. Are you walking lots right now? My mom went into labor with one of us cuz she went for a VERY long walk and then that night she just went into labor. The more your up the more it puts pressure on your cervix. I hope your baby will just decide to come like today or tomorrow and just give you no warning signs..just POP ..your water breaks..lol
I really would not want to wait until Friday if I was you. I know you want your home birth really bad so I hope that is really what you get.

I go in this morning for that gel thing so hopefully that will start something for me. I had some bad pains down there last night and some pressure so I'm hoping that I'm more dilated or effaced or something so that this gel will really work on me. If I don't get any cramping at all after I have it they will send me home after a hour the nurse said.

I gotta go back to bed until my alarm goes off though just in case I need all my energy for today!!

I really hope your baby will come real soon for you though and just try to walk as much as you can!!

I think that is a great idea, we couldn't do that as we didn't agree on any other names. Hubby was being so picky! Me I am very down and teary at the mo, can't believe I still don't have my Lil girl in my arms and it does not help that I'm a very impatient person. I hate not know when she will come and then again if she decides to even come on her own. The midwife was talking about booking my induction next week, don't really want that but hey if that what it takes to meet my Lil girl that's what we will have to do. My little guy is engaged now and ready to go, just waiting on him to pick a date. My midwife has offered to give me a stretch and sweep next tuesday and i'm not sure if i'm going to do it or not, want him to come when he's ready but it is tempting! Shouldn't trigger labour if he isn't ready anyway though. She doesn't want to go past the end of 41 weeks for induction so hopefully he at least comes before then. I had an ultrasound this morning to check his position because the midwife was worried he was breech (he's so far down she couldn't feel his head) but everything is good and I could see his hair at the back of his head on the screen which was cool. Labour dust to you and hopefully things get moving soon!

Well yesterday I thought I was going to be heading in for sure cuz I believe I was losing a bit of my mucus plug but it stopped after a little bit. I have no pains yet or anything like that..it sucks big time!! If baby does not come today though I go into the labor and delivery unit tomorrow to have some sort of gel put on my cervix to ripen it up and see if that will start anything. Some women it will put into labor and others it does not so we will see. If it doesn't and baby does not come before the first of next week than my doctor said she would induce me then.

I think our babies are just way too comfy in there to come out on their own maybe..?? lol
You are having completely no signs of anything yet...no litte BH or any slight pains starting at the bottom of your back?
I hope your baby decides to come out soon since your having yours at home. Does your midwife say that is baby doesn't come soon then she will strip your membranes or something?

Hi, How are you? Still no baby i take it? Nothing here either.... Never thought i would make it to 40 weeks, well i was hoping i wouldn't. But in about an hour im there. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow and im asking if they can do i sweep, im tired of being prego now, i wasnt to meet my lil girl. Knowing my luck i will still be prego at 42 weeks and need to be induced and that something i definatly dont want. Anyway hope all is going well for you and your bump, labour dust to you. XXX
