Kia Ora, Hello!
My name is Zavana and im 22 years old and expecting my first child with my handsome partner Hamish.
Though our baby wasnt planned for this year,
it is still a blessing to be able to have him a year earlier!

I live in New Zealand and would love to chat with people from the same place.
I have been on this site ever since I found out I was pregnant, but have decided to join so I can chat to others about arising problems or concerns.
The week after that I had found out that I was pregnant ( Jan. 23rd was the day i found out) the morning or shall i say all day sickness kicked in. I had it from 7 weeks till about 14 weeks. Apart from that everything seems to be trucking along normally. :)
My Midwife is my partners Auntie in which is great, as she is a family member and I get to see her all the time unlike the other midwifes here in NZ in which seems to be so booked with others, that when you have an appointment with them, your time limited.
I AM LUCKY!
I am considering having a water birth at home, as the saying goes
" Theres no place like home!"
- I finally felt my baby kick for the first time April 22nd. What an amazing experience it is to be able to feel this life inside of me kick and move around. And FINALLY Hamish was able to feel our baby move on the outside on June 19th!
Just wish sometimes that he wouldnt play soccer when im trying to get to sleep after work! :)
- July 1st- Noticed my nipples starting to leak..Something that totally took me by suprize!

oh you're about the same height as my "TALL" sister!! lol there's 4 of us, and other than her, my oldest sis is 4'11'', i'm 4'10'' and my youngest sis is 4'9''!!! lol so she is DEFINETELY the TALL one!!

Hi darlin,
Man you must be leaking a lot of colostrum to get breast pads, I have heard of that happening to some women, but I never got that much, well hun, at least we know they work, lol!
I would say all of New Zealand would get cold at some stage, except for the winterless north, the Bay of Islands of course, lol!

Besides my boobs leaking at a client yesterday, Ive been good. He kicks all day long. It feels like we have been pregnant forever. I am busy with shopping etc and choosing the nursery things. How are you? Have you started shopping yet?

To tell you the honest truth I have no idea!! lol
The doctor said it so fast it just went in one ear and out the other..I'm not even sure that is exactly what he said..lol.
I'm hoping that at my next ob appointment that my doctor has it in her file and she will be able to tell me...which is on the 8th. I THINK that the cream may work...cuz today it seems less crazy and not as all over the place and also less itchy..but I was also very busy today so maybe I just wasn't concentrating on it..lol

Hey who is your Aunty/Midwife? Im not having one this pregnancy, Im going under obs team at hospital as Im considered 'high risk' aparantly. Sucky!

im not sure why they did the kidney scan. i had to do bloodtests, urine tests, and a 24hr urine test plus the kidney ultrasound. they think my kidneys might have something to do with my high blood pressure, i think thats what they think lol they don't tell me much

Thank you sweetie! I agree.....the thought of getting bigger is not that exciting but the gift in the end is priceless! That's what I keep focusing on. I had a rough morning with an upset tummy so I spent most of my time on the potty.lol I don't think my child liked what I ate for dinner!

i know! isnt that crazy?? time is just flying by now! i have a "Budgeting for Baby" for baby class next week, and then i have my 29 week check up after that! looking at it i cant BELIEVE i'm so close to 30 weeks! geez, and my 3rd tri starts on the 10th, its getting a bit overwhelming!!

LEAKING NIPPLES? I NEVER GOT THAT WITH MY LATER CHILDREN, MY BREASTS DON'T GET ENGORGED EITHER AFTER BIRTH LIKE THEY DID WHEN I HAD MY FIRST AND SECOND, I THINK IT MAYBE THAT THEY ARE BETTER AT KNOWING HOW MUCH TO MAKE.
I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST YOUR PREGNANCY IS GOING, BUBS WILL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT.
THE KIDS ARE LOVING EDEN, IT IS SO COOL TO SEE THE LITTLE ONES INTERACTING WITH HER, AND SHOWERING HER WITH KISSES, THEY KEEP ON SAYING HOW TINY SHE IS, AND IF SHE CRIES THEY TRY TO CONSOLE HER, IT MELTS ME TO SEE THAT.
BY GOLLY AM I FEELING THE COLD, IT IS SO COLD DOWN HERE, WE HAVE HAD TWO REALLY AMAZING FROSTS, AND ALREADY A GOOD DUMPING OF SNOW, AND EVIDENTLY THERE IS MORE TO COME, DOES IT GET COLD UP YOUR WAY?

nah I have one of those eletric heaters with the bars, not a fan heater. I weighed myself today and I am 63kgs which is weird!! I thought I would have gained for sure? maybe because I have been sick (with the typical winter viruses going around) so that's probably why. Yeah I'm still fitting my size 8 jeans and 7 and a half jeans. Not for much longer though!!! they are getting tighter and tighter haha

HEy, so I went to the doctor's about my rash and they said I have something called PERP's...I think that is what the doctor said. I had the name of it in my head earlier but it totally vanished out of my skull in the last couple of hours..lol. They gave me a steroid cream for it to put on 2x daily..I'm hoping that this will work and take it away so I'm not drove crazy for the rest of my pregnancy!
