My profile

Kia Ora, Hello!

My name is Zavana and im 22 years old and expecting my first child with my handsome partner Hamish.

Though our baby wasnt planned for this year,

it is still a blessing to be able to have him a year earlier!

**IM HAVING A HANDSOME LITTLE BOY!**

..I LOVE HIM TO PIECES..

I live in New Zealand and would love to chat with people from the same place.

I have been on this site ever since I found out I was pregnant, but have decided to join so I can chat to others about arising problems or concerns.

The week after that I had found out that I was pregnant ( Jan. 23rd was the day i found out) the morning or shall i say all day sickness kicked in. I had it from 7 weeks till about 14 weeks. Apart from that everything seems to be trucking along normally. :)

My Midwife is my partners Auntie in which is great, as she is a family member and I get to see her all the time unlike the other midwifes here in NZ in which seems to be so booked with others, that when you have an appointment with them, your time limited.

I AM LUCKY!

I am considering having a water birth at home, as the saying goes

" Theres no place like home!"

  • I finally felt my baby kick for the first time April 22nd. What an amazing experience it is to be able to feel this life inside of me kick and move around. And FINALLY Hamish was able to feel our baby move on the outside on June 19th!

Just wish sometimes that he wouldnt play soccer when im trying to get to sleep after work! :)

  • July 1st- Noticed my nipples starting to leak..Something that totally took me by suprize!

I hope so but in a way afteer the birth video I saw at the prenatal class last night - I think I might prefer a Caesar........

haha yeah it's ridiculous like you're going to txt back and say "oh yeah I had him a few days ago, forgot to tell you" my haemorrhoids are completely painless I don't even notice them they are very mild so it;s no big deal just worried about what birth will do thats all. I'm still thinking he's probably gonna be named Bailey. How bout you, have you and Hamish thought of any names you like?
Yeah I did the buttons up on my jeans the other day and couldn't undo them because they were SO tight around my hips haha I learned from that mistake and just wear them unbuttoned and unzipped with long tops when I do wear them. My pre preggo skirts will never fit again because of the hips widening

itsallgood - Friday, 19 September
Hi thanks a lot! Had to see physio becuase my hips ceased working and was hard to walk. She worked miracles though. Doc told me baby is breech so we have to hope it will turn!
So now you must be like when?whenwhen?when? I soooo cannot handle it

*LABOR DUST* lol! im hoping the capital letters have more in them

Kaylaaa - Friday, 19 September
as far as haemorrhoids go.. pretty much nothing haha. Basically you get them from all the pressure that baby is putting on your lower regions and birth will usually aggravate them and some people have them for life. I'm gutted! I'm getting some cream which will hopefully make them shrink down but my midwife is pretty certain they will be back with a vengeance after having baby because even straining to poo can cause them. Yeah I've gained 13kg so far and it's all just gone on the belly. I can STILL fit my pre-preg jeans hahah they are so not worth it though, friggin uncomfortable. I just like putting them on cause I can. They fit the thighs and butt fine, it's just my hips. I have been loving being preggers one day and hating it the next lol. I get down about the effect these last few weeks are having on my poor body but then I think about my son and i don't care anymore. He's so worth it.

Kaylaaa - Friday, 19 September
I get BH's all the time, they are annoying cause sometimes they hurt but they don't lead to anything. I STILL haven't uploaded any new pics haha I keep meaning to but just never get round to it

Kaylaaa - Friday, 19 September
Yeah my ones pretty comfy in there too I think. I'm not due til the 30th but still haven't had any signs. Oh I did start losing my mucus plug over 2 days but I heard if you don't go into labour soon after losing it it regenerates so that doesn't really mean anything lol. My tummy has stretchmarks now, they are not bad at all and barely noticable but so much for bio oil eh! I guess they could be a lot worse though. Oh and all of a sudden i've gotten haemorrhoids lol my body is as tired of being pregnant as my mind I think. it's all packing up at once. I'm so scared of whats gonna happen to my ass after pushing this baby out lol!! not in such a hurry all of a sudden. How bout you, any twinges yet? yeah the bummer about the boobs is they shrivel back up though haha that is a pretty big change in cupsize though huh

i know the full moon didnt work! happy due date tomorrow!! *labor dust*

cookiejar - Thursday, 18 September
I guess since you're having the baby at home, that means you won't be induced, am I right?

michellelaughs - Thursday, 18 September
I went to my Dr yest and am feeling kinda anxious only because she is. I don't like it. I think everything is fine and think I'll go into labor naturally and am not bothered by going past my "due date" but she's making me feel uneasy about it. My baby's heart rate is on the low side ave 120 but yest was lower at a glance so I had to go sit with a monitor for a bit where she averaged 120 so she said that was fine, and she's concerned that once I'm at all past my due date the odds of meconium and low fluid and I don't know what all go up. Maybe I've been reading too many natural birth type books cause I just think everything will go as God intended and that my body will go into labor precisely at the right time but my Dr. makes me feel like I should be concerned if she not out by this Sat. She's scheduled an ulttrasound for Mon to check fluid and she'll only be 2 days past due. I also know they get really anxious about the babys heart rate in labor and if my baby already has a 120 then are they gonna be wanting to cut her outa there as soon as her heart drops which is sounds like they normally do when things get close? Hmmmmm. sorry to go off. I'm glad your MF isn't causing you any anxiety. I think I have a good Dr. it's just that they are trained so different. I'm still feeling great. I went to a couple major hikes this week on our best local hills and otherwise am walking walking walking. Are you feeling good?

itsallgood - Thursday, 18 September
Thanks ....will do that! Saw physio yesterday and I do not know what she did but it worked ...yay!!!!!
I am getting sooooo impatient ....I feel like I have lots of energy today! At least if I was tired I could watch a movie or something but I want to run around - I feel quite hyper!

itsallgood - Thursday, 18 September
Hows it going thought I'd drop in to see if you'd gone yet? How on earth did you get through this waiting bit. Im nearly 36 weeks and very impatient. What did you do to kill time?
