Friday, 16 May HI THERE! Things are finally starting to make sense around here, though I sometimes still doubt I´ll ever be able to have a bath or see a movie again... I´m out of bedrest, stitches have been removed, almost ready to make a little brother or sister! aaaargh - no, not yet!!!
I can finally breastfeed, but I have very little milk with a very hugry little guy, so I need to supplement with about 1.5oz of formula after every feeding, wich has made me cry for days but I guess any breast milk is better than no breast milk and if I need to give him some formula at least I know I´m doing everything I can to give him every drop I can get out of these boobies. So in the beginning it was hard, and I cried a lot and I think I should blame it on the hormones and on the huge life change, but now I´m ejoying it and have even managed to go out and hang out with friends, and went shopping... of course till he woke up hungry and I had to run for cover and find a place to nurse and feed him. So I´m still having a hard time going out and being natural, and I still bang the stroller on every door and run over people´s feet. Anywyay, I´m a first timer, clueless, and proud :-)
HOw are thing swith you? How´s Siam? Good? Does he cry a lot or is he a good boy? sleeps a lot?? How do you feel? REcovered?? give me an update when you can, ok?

Wednesday, 30 April Tiago is here!!! He was born sat 26th, 13:05. 3.490kg, 50 cm. Blond with blue eyes!I'm sorry I couldn't write sooner! I was having contractions all day friday, 7-10 min apart, lost my plug, and then at 11:30 pm my waters broke (all in one day!!! his due date!!), so we went to the hospital. I wasn't dilating yet so no epidural for me, but they gave me a shot that totally took me out of it, I could still feel the pain - contractions 2 min apart - but kinda loose consciousness in between them, it certainly made the pain more manageable. Around 6am they gave the epi and I was 4cm. Epidurals are the best thing in the world. 2hrs later I was 7cm, and 2 more I was 10. But the baby was too high and they had me in the room pushing, by myself - thank GOD for those prenatal classes - and when they came to check me, I was rushed to the delivery room - baby was coming out! I think I did a too good of a job pushing. I was in delivery room for 5 min, one push the head was out, not tear, another and the shoulders did the dirty job or tearing my perineum... so 7 stitches for me. I'm still recovering, taking care of those stitches on bed rest, and trying to figure out what to do with a baby... having a hard time breastfeeding, but will die trying. I'M SO HAPPY, IT WAS WONDERFUL, AND HE'S BEAUTIFUL!!! I'll post pics soon, I'mm going back to bed now. I'll write more later, when things settle in a routine, ok? xoxoxo NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
