Hello All!! This is my first pregnancy and I'm very excited about it. It wasn't a planned one but I believe this life wouldn't be here if God didn't intend on it. So here I am, currently 10 wks pregnant, my 21st B-day is this coming Monday! Yippie!! Can't party but hey I can atleast buy lotto tickets. (Iowa you have to 21)

So even tho my life is about to change in the most derastic way I'm very very excited about it!!!!

May 23rd...So I'm currently on my 11th week. I'm soo excited that I'm about out of the scarey first trimester. So far I've went to the Dr twice. Last time he tried to hear the babies heart beat on a doppler, but no luck. It's got me very worried. I don't have another appt till June 14th. The dr said being skinny would work to my advantage but we still didn't hear anything. I mean i'm "feeling pregnant" and every thing, so i'm just trying to not get very worked up about it. A lady I work w/ couldn't hear her's on the 12th wk so I just keep telling myself it's ok...(Man i hope it is)

So my 21st B-day was on Monday, not as exciting as i thought it would be. Oh well I did spend the day shopping, which always makes me happy. And i don't even care that I can't drink on my Golden birthday, what's growing inside of me is way more important that and blurry memory of another birthday party.

May 30th

Well I'm finally on my 12th week!! Yippie! I'm starting to feel better and have more energy. Although it seems like I have to eat ALOT to be full, or atleast comfortable. I used to only have a glass of chocolate milk in the morning, now I'm having a glass of milk, bowl of cereal and half a bagel. Then two hours later I'm hungry again. This has only started the last couple days but I don't think it's going away anytime soon. I just want to eat normal. I feel like some kind of animal mauwing down on food all the time.

June 7th

I can happily say that I'm finally done with my first trimester! I've gotten this far with out any puking, well untill yesterday. I don't understand it. I go all the way till my 13th wk then all of a sudden I'm rushing to the bathroom. I hope that was the only occurance.

I'm really excited i'm going shopping for maternity clothes this saturday. My mom and I were looking at a local mall a couple weekends ago but no luck. Not on anything cute anyway. So I'm hoping that I'll have better luck this weekend. I can't wait to get my first maternity article!!!! I can't fit into my pants anymore i have to use a hair tie around my button just so they're comfy. I bet i look like a retard! lol

June 20th

So it's been a couple weeks since i've wrote on here. Since last time i've got to hear the babies heartbeat which was totally awesome. It's just so crazy to think there is a baby the size of a grapefruit growing inside me. I've gotten bigger, but still no distingished baby bump yet :( I haven't gained any wieght in over a month but i've gotten bigger. I hope i can start gaining some weight it's getting me worried.

So in 5 wks I get my first ultra sound. I'm so excited. By then i'll be 20 wks along and hopefully get to see the sex of the baby. I can't wait!!! I'm counting down. 5 wks seems like a long ways away but it also seems like just last week i found out i was 6 wks pregnant. The time is really flying by.

I've came up with 2 girl names. Mckinzy and Taylor "Hickenbottom". I like them both. But i think Taylor fits us as a family better. When it comes to boy names i can't think of anything. And when i do Josh shoots it down. So i'm really lost on a boy name.

July 13th

So I'm now 18 weeks and 4 days. That 20 week mark is coming up pretty fast!! I get the ultra sound done in a week and a half !!! Yippie! i can't wait to see if it's going to be a girl or a boy. We have a few names picked out so far. Girl names are : McKenzy, Taylor and Brooke. Boy names are Zane, Landon, Carson, and Dylan. Now that we've narrowed the list down it's getting sooo hard to decide on a name. It's a HUGE deal picking out a name for a someone, that's something they are going to keep with them their whole lives. I just hope that what ever it is that i pick that the little one doesn't hate it later on. I've always loved my name i just hope it loves theirs.

I've also started feeling the baby move for the last week or so. It's still really faint and not that often that i actually get to feel a strong one but they're getting stronger. It's wonderful, it instantly brings a smile to my face and i become overwhelmed with joy. I've just been such a happy person lately, I almost always have a smile on my face. I can't wait till i can feel all the movements.

July 18th '07

Now that we've narrowed it down to those names we can't decide on just one. GRR this is soo tough. fun but really tough.

So I had my first really bad pregnancy pains yesterday. Those wonderful round ligiment pains i've read about, man i didn't think they'd hurt that bad. Oh but i was soo very wrong. I went home and rubbed Icy Hot on me and laid on the couch for 5 hours. It was NOT fun.

IT'S A BOY!

This was a total surprise to me, I thought it was definitely a girl. You can imagine I was very surprised when we got the u/s pic w/ a little pee pee on there. WOW I'm going to have a boy! I still can't believe it! Here is Zane Hickenbottom sucking his thumb at 20 weeks along. Isn't that the cutest thing.

21 weeks and 5 days

So I've reached the point where I no longer look chubby. Everyone that sees me knows I'm pregnant. I've been waiting for this. :) So since we found out the sex this thing has really really sunk in. I can't wait to hold the little guy! I'm getting more and more impatient. but at the same time everything is just flying by. Oh and i'm getting very very forgetfull, which really stinks. I'm always up for taking a nap, but rarely ever get to.

I finally got a new car, i was driving a extended cab Ford Ranger. Which just won't work with a little on. So i went and got a cute lil 4 door car a couple days ago. Now all we have to do is decided where we want to be living when this little man comes. I'm voting for an apartment/or rent a house, beings we currently stay at his parents. Not that I don't love his family, but once this little one comes I think it's high time for us to get out. Perferably before this little buger comes, since my due date is in December and Iowa gets down right cold in those winter months.

Anywho, we finally have picked out a name. Zane Hickenbottom. We're stumped on a middle name right now tho. So far I think Andrew sounds the best....Zane Andrew Hickenbottom. Yep I like it.

23 weeks and 2 days....

My belly is rather large now. It's soo strange, but in a comforting way. I'm gaining on the pounds with out a problem now, which my sudden addiction to chocolate probably doesn't help things at all. I thought if your pregnant w/ a boy your susposed to crave salty things not sweet. But not w/ my I have never ate so much chocolate in my life. It's kinda sad. But i've decided tonight i need to go on a walk. While i was at work today I tried to cross my legs and it seemed to take way more effort than normal so i'm getting concerned that maybe i'm gaining to much weight. The problem is i get exhausted so darn easily for me to really get much of a work out is tough. Man i'm going to turn into a fat tub of lard.

So I finally picked out the bedroom theme, well I knew i wanted a Farm theme but hadn't actually picked out the specific one untill yesterday. I love it, it's sooo cute!! Now if only I could afford the big red tractor rug to go in front of his crib. (His grandpa would love that!) Me at 19 Weeks along.

November 12th- 36 weeks pregnant

Wow it's been awhile since I've wrote on here. I don't have much longer know till the "big day" I can't wait. The only draw back is I absolutely can NOT go before Nov 28th. B/c where i work you have to be employeed for 1 yr in order to get your FMLA. So if i were to go early they would have to lay me off, cancel my insurance and rehire me a couple months later. So that'd mean I'd have to go thru the probationary period again and re sign up for insurance, etc etc. Oh god I hope I don't go before the 28th. But I've decided that as of the weekend of the 1st of Dec I'm going to start walking and doing everything I can to get this thing going. I'll be considered full term by then. Plus this baby is already measuring a little bit big and I'm not exactly a large person, I can only strecth so much.

Oh man I can't wait to meet my lil Zane! I can't wait! I can tell Josh is getting really nervous but I think he'll do just fine. He's so much of a kid himself, once our little guy is about 3 months old Josh will be having a hoot w/ him I just know it. Plus his brother will be a dad soon too, (well in June) but that'll help, atleast he won't feel like he's going thru this alone.

These last few weeks are going to be so hard. My body is already giving me tons of aches and pains. I'm also struggling w/ low blood pressure which is causing me to very very tired and exhausted almost all the time. And anytime I try to move or switch positions I get aches (down there) I think it's just from all the pressure. I'm pretty sure Zane has dropped. I can no longer feel my hip bones. I'm soooo ready for this to be over. I know i'm going to miss it once i have him. I'm going to miss feeling him toss and turn inside my belly, but it'll be worth it.

NOVEMBER 30TH- 38 WEEKS & 4 DAYS

I'm getting really really tired of being pregnant now. I just want to meet my lil man! I've been having more and more pains but nothing regular enough to make me go to the hospital so I hope I'm atleast dilating somewhat. I was up all night the other night with horrible pains, I'm guessing it was false labor. I hope that's the only time I have to go thru that before the real thing comes alone. It was way painfull and with no pay off what so ever. Except it makes me want to have this baby even more.

It's supposed to storm really bad tomorrow with freezing rain and all that good stuff. My mom seems to think that I'll go into labor in the middle of the storm. Oh i hope she's not right,(in one way, but the other I hope she is..ya know) But I did find out that my mom never went past her due date, she had all three of us a couple days before and her labors never lasted longer then 11 hrs. so that's not too bad I've heard alot worse stories. I hope I get that lucky. But i have a feeling God will that this oppurtunity to get me back for all the bad things I did when I was younger :)
