God has been wonderful to me and has blessed me with two beautiful daughters.. I almost had my first daughter Mariah at 6 months into pregnancy and the doctors had stopped the preterm labor.. I than had her full term at 37 weeks and 4 days of pregnancy. She is a very smart and quick witted little being she acknowledges God in her life and prays every single night with no one even telling her to.. she even ask us if we have prayed!....My second daughter when I had gotten pregnant during the first trimester I was told I had a hematoma and I was told there was a 50 50 chance of the pregnancy being successful I accepted the chance and prayed in leaving it to the heavenly father once we got past the first trimester I knew my baby would be ok.. I still took it lightly in my activities..at 33 weeks I lost my mucus plug and began cramping I rushed to the hospital where they told me I was in preterm labor.. they worked on me to stop the contractions and gave me some medication to take home. To their calculations I had 2 weeks before actual labor begins.. I prayed I made it to the safe zone of 37 weeks at least... I had my Ahriana at 35 weeks of pregnancy my water broke ( check my birth story in my blog) there was no turning back.. I thought I was going to lose her in the trauma of labor but once again God showed who the true giver and controller of life is.. she was born 5 pounds 5ounces and 18 inches.. she is a breastfed baby at birth ..although I had to give her a tiny bit of formula to get her out the hospital(she was able to leave with me) and once she got home it was strictly breast no formula.. she is gaining weight and a very happy little jellybean.. I love my children and most of all love the Lord for blessing my life with such peace and happiness.

Ahriana 3months almost 4 soon!

she's doing well tho, she's sleeping great, i mean 3-4 hours so thats good, ytesterday tho she slept allllllllllll darn day! i was like are you ok!!!
i need to get a pump....we are going to go to babies r us tonight to exchange diapers so i will look, its cheaper on Amazon tho...
shots! yikes! ya i think we go next week also, i have to call them , i think she might get a shot BUT maybe not??? i can't remember if she does her first real visit, she had one checkup already 2 days after we came home to check weight, can't wait to see how much she gained now!!!

Lol, i know what you mean... sleep is precious... I am fortunate that my baby doesn't wake that much...she is a wonderful baby... and I must admit that I could not have asked for a better baby girl :O0- well good to hear from you and I will be in touch, you know spare time is rare now a days... okay kiss the babies :O)

hi ya!! how is everything??? we took mara to the relay 4 life tonight for 2 hours she was great!!! think her gas belly aches are getting better with the gas drops and burbs are coming out now!!! yay!!!!

Oh my god Girl!! I wanted to go so bad.. I was at the festival in harlem though. My mans family lives right there so they had a party, and they were selling food and Pi�a Coladas.

. I had a virgin one of course. Everyone around me was feeling nice. Here I am Pregant and HOT!

But the actual parade. It was to dam Hot. I wasnt going to risk fainting in a crowd. But I did represent.. I had my car covered with the flag. I will have pix up from the event soon.

I use a blanket when in public or my Mom got me a nursing poncho to use. It's nice but with the summer here it gets really hot instantly...It's funny I know that I can nurse in public and sometimes do just fine (like memorial day- nursed in the airport and on the plane both ways) and never thought twice. Other times he wakes up and wants to eat and I just panic and pull out a bottle. It's wierd.

I plan to nurse untill 6mths or so and I will nurse in public more as my confidence grows.

he had the hepatites one that's it for now... have another doctors appt tomorrow... he has a little murmor on his heart that the doctor told me that is kinda normal for newborns... every 10 kids , 6 will have it... kinda freaking out about it

I feel fine feeding at home, even other peoples homes, but outside is still a bit awkward for me. I usually just pump and bottle feed. Do you pump so you have that option?

Thanks for the prompt response. I think I'll have to change bottles. I have a playtex breast pump and a couple of bottles w/out nipples that came with it...I guess I better purchase those nipples to try them out. This is frustrating :-(

hey omg i had my baby may 10th and the labor took 14 hours...around the 4th hour i had the epi and it was GREAT!! Does your little girl smile at you yet?? my little guy is a month and he hasnt started to really smile yet....he does pass gas all the time and its amazing bc it smells so BAD!!! lol miss talking to u!!

i found a paci that was in a gift basket and she liked it for about 5 min... then cried herself to sleep! poor baby!! she's been sleeping for 2 1/2 hours now and i need to give her a bath tonight! i hope she sleeps ok, i don't want her to have a belly ache! did you give your little ones gas drops?

i saw your post on the BF, the nurses kept telling me you got a such=ker offer the paci i was like NO i dont want her to have it, well they talked me into it, here she didn't want it BUT i think she is using me sometimes as a paci for sure! so i try the paci they gave me , she hatees it still , think the thing is too big for her mouth, anyway lastnight i go to look for it, its GONE! nowhere to be found! i usually have it near the changing table in her room, think ithrew it out! well today she is so fussy i gave her a tiny bit of gas drops...she was up from 11:30am till 2pm NEVER up that long.. idk maybe just wanted to be held, i let her sleep on her belly on me lastnigth and she slept great! we slept in her room on the glider, she hasn't been in our room dur to my ROTTIES... so anyway i am babbling but you always have great advice!!

Hi NyMom - sorry it's taken soooo long for me to respond to your message on my profile about breastfeeding. My computer was broken, and I'm just now getting back to the website. I'm glad my post about the difficulties I faced with breastfeeding was read by someone! Isn't it nice to know we're not alone? Well, I really hope by now your breastfeeding issue is better.
