God has been wonderful to me and has blessed me with two beautiful daughters.. I almost had my first daughter Mariah at 6 months into pregnancy and the doctors had stopped the preterm labor.. I than had her full term at 37 weeks and 4 days of pregnancy. She is a very smart and quick witted little being she acknowledges God in her life and prays every single night with no one even telling her to.. she even ask us if we have prayed!....My second daughter when I had gotten pregnant during the first trimester I was told I had a hematoma and I was told there was a 50 50 chance of the pregnancy being successful I accepted the chance and prayed in leaving it to the heavenly father once we got past the first trimester I knew my baby would be ok.. I still took it lightly in my activities..at 33 weeks I lost my mucus plug and began cramping I rushed to the hospital where they told me I was in preterm labor.. they worked on me to stop the contractions and gave me some medication to take home. To their calculations I had 2 weeks before actual labor begins.. I prayed I made it to the safe zone of 37 weeks at least... I had my Ahriana at 35 weeks of pregnancy my water broke ( check my birth story in my blog) there was no turning back.. I thought I was going to lose her in the trauma of labor but once again God showed who the true giver and controller of life is.. she was born 5 pounds 5ounces and 18 inches.. she is a breastfed baby at birth ..although I had to give her a tiny bit of formula to get her out the hospital(she was able to leave with me) and once she got home it was strictly breast no formula.. she is gaining weight and a very happy little jellybean.. I love my children and most of all love the Lord for blessing my life with such peace and happiness.

Ahriana 3months almost 4 soon!

Thanks for the compliments but Not really... I had to take 64646444545 shots in order to get a couple of good ones!! Believe me this photographers can find a good spot(yes you have one even pregnant!!!) ahahahaha
So little princess has you wrapped around her fingers already! :) So typical!! It will be the same to me I'm sure!! So how do you feel? Are you still very sore?? Your delivery was harsh on you, so all the soreness went away already? I have a childbirth class next sunday... not sure if really helps but my doctor told me to do it...
I went to do the hospital tour yesterday... the hospital was nice...
do you have pics of her already? I'm dying to see it!! I bet she is beautiful!! I added you on my msn messenger... i think that's the same one you use... my e-mail is andradecristiane@hotmail.com
so now do they have another site like this for mothers? I heard there is some site called talking babies or something? do you know anything about it?

Wow!! Congratulations!!! I'm glad to hear that everything is ok with you and the baby!!! I knew something was up when I didnt hear from you in a couple days!!! I want to keep in touch with you, you gave me so much advice! Do you have any chating program? I went to the hospital for my tour today...It's getting close!!!

omg...so much has happend...i had to go to the hospital TWICE! I was having problems breathing and my back was hurting and i kept having these period like pains...my husband freaked out and so we went to the hospital...they checked me and GOSH THAT DOESNT FEEL GOOD! The midwife said i was 70% effaced and they put me on these pills that slow the contractions down...everytime i take them i feel like im going to have a heart attack! I am so freakin tired and can never get comfy NO MATTER how i lay or sit! Hows it going with u any updates

hey girl how are you doing i havent heard from you in a few days.. went back to the doctor today and they said i was 4-5cm dilated and the i am 80 to 90 precent so i am hoping and praying that i have him today or tommrow i am really tried of feeling this way they contractions are crazy let me tell you.. when do you go back to the doctor? if i dont have him i go to the doc on tuesday and they will probly induce me..

Hey, not sure if you read my earlier post on the GD forum board but Im the same way. I flunked the 3 hour test miserably but since then I have had no probs with my numbers. I eat potatoes all the time and find that my sugar level will be in the 80's somewhere. I have eaten pizza too and not gotten a reading much over 90. I am petrified of needles (I mean PETRIFIED) so my Dr said that there is a possibility that I only failed the test because of the stress it caused me (apparently stress significantly raises your blood sugar) but I'm still checking 4 times a day anyway just to make sure things don't get worse. I have never heard of anyone getting "cured" per say of GD, but I think maybe if you have a simply more borderline case of it then its easier to manage. Ive eaten smores with no problem, believe it or not the only thing that even slightly makes my numbers high is cereal! I would just celebrate being able to add a few yummy things back into your diet if I were you. How were your numbers before??

I really wish they would do another test, but my doctor thinks it is pointless. He would rather me just do the diabetes diet. However, they will be having my blood sugar regularly. I was told four times a day, and report the numbers back to my doctor. Hopefully they will turn out perfectly fine. Until then, I am not sure what to eat. I thought I was doing pretty good before. I do not eat a lot of sweets. I usually eat yogurt for breakfast, apple (or homemade fruit salad) for snack, veggies for lunch and snack, and various things for dinner. HMM. I will have to start my program and get back to you on whether or not it works out for me!! You are almost there! Oh and reading what you eat makes me super hungry lol. But it also gives me yummy ideas. THANKS!!!!

I am doing well, thank GOD. Glad to know that you are doing well. Well, it must be exciting to be that close. How's the insulin thing going?
Last night was horrible I woke up in pain behind my hip went down my right leg in the front and it went numb I couldn't do nothing. I was up for 3 hours long. Had to be to work at 8 but you know what I was thanking God in the midst of it all. I finally took tyenol and said LORD I have to go to work. The baby girl is doing wonderful.

yes they are the same botles!! Nursing gift set for playtex... I also got the liners as well...so you just heat with hot water under the sink... how do you know what is the good temperature?

Hey, I was told by my nurse not to consume very many carbs three days before my test as it would not properly show my results. Do you think that may be the real reason why my test showed that I was high? My doctor does not preform a 3 hour test, instead he automatically places you on a diabetes diet for the remainder of your pregnancy "just in case"...

I washed most of his clothes already and I will do the bassinet sheets and the crib stuff this weekend... Speaking of the breast milk bags... dont the bags get dirty in the sink? so How do you fill the liners with the bags from the freezer? I will have to freeze because of work... I guess I will return the botle warm then... the sterelizer I got if mostly for the niples so you dont have to boil then....

Nymom, how are you handling your 4 yr old and bedrest. I'm just on modified bedrest and feel extremely guilty because when my husband is not here, I can't do anything but put a movie in for my son to watch and that's about it. It's to the point where he's asking for his dad more and more and I feel so horrible about it. Any suggestions?
